Keyshawn: I Don’t Know If [Brady] Makes Them A Contender
March 11th, 2020If you only care about the Buccaneers winning a Super Bowl — and not selling new gear, price gauging sponsors, filling seats, national TV seats and growing a brand — then signing Tom Brady might not make a lot of sense.
No, Joe’s not saying America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, is better than Brady. Joe’s just noting that the Bucs aren’t necessarily a superstar 43-year-old quarterback away from a Lombardi trophy.
Last year the Bucs took a medium-sized step toward their ultimate goal. Many young players were developed and thrived, some sooner than others. But Joe still can’t call the entire season a special coaching job, and the team certainly didn’t get over the hump in the important yet vague department called “learning how to win.”
BSPN TV is all over the Brady saga and brought in former Bucs receiver Keyshawn Johnson to dissect the situation. For those unaware, Keyshawn is a weekday host on ESPN Radio in Los Angeles and he has a long history on TV after his playing career ended in 2006.
“I don’t know if [Brady] makes them a contender,” Keyshawn explains in the video below.
Part of his reasoning is the strength of the Saints and the Falcons resurgence late last season after Raheem Morris took over the defense.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:01 pm
I can not see Tom Brady coming here, no way.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:05 pm
well if brady does not make us a contender than what does that say about winston
March 11th, 2020 at 4:08 pm
Honestly, I don’t want Brady. I’d like to sign someone (not Jameis) for around the 20 million mark. With the leftover cap space, I think we can fill all the holes between free agency and the draft. We are a legitimate contender this year.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:08 pm
Brady makes the Bucs much more of a contender than Winston does.
Brady knows what it takes to get to the Superbowl. Winston does not.
The Bucs players would respect and listen to Brady, and would be excited to play with him.
With Winston, they are just waiting for the next interceptions.
Signing Brady would be a great, huge move for the Bucs.
Even if they can’t sign Brady, there are still better QB options than Winston
March 11th, 2020 at 4:09 pm
first off, screw keyshawn….he’s always against the bucs and acts like we screwed his career up and never got him a SB ring….
regarding brady, he would ABSOLUTELY make us a contender….he’d be the best QB in the division, with the most weapons and a good defense…..
saints window is closing….another injury to brees and they’re outta gas….
falcons will be better but not much better….they have holes along both LOS and their secondary is weak…..
with that being said, brady aint coming….TEDDY will be the pick….
GO BUCS!!!!!
March 11th, 2020 at 4:11 pm
I think you can get Bridgewater, Rivers, Carr or Dalton for around that figure. I think any of them could take this team with a few extra pieces into the playoffs.
If Winston comes back, he’s going to continue turning the ball over. He leads the league not just last year but over the last 5 years between ints and fumbles.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:17 pm
I like how everyone assumes the Bucs wI’ll have a good defense but that’s only the product of decent bias.
It wouldn’t surprise me if we have more secondary issues going into next season and another bad pass defense combined with Brady= 7-9.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:18 pm
***Recency Bias
March 11th, 2020 at 4:25 pm
Father time is undefeated. We would get the shell of Tom Brady, not the Tom Brady that won multiple super bowls with the Patriots.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:29 pm
lol
March 11th, 2020 at 4:31 pm
IMO Brady would be way to Montana-to-the-Chiefs for me. I am Not a Winston advocate anymore but something about Brady doesn’t feel right. Brady is one of the all time Greats, but will always be a Patriot to me. I don’t want a quick fix winner, I want a solid built from the ground up team that doesn’t have to buy a one year ticket to the playoffs but like a good team develops into a consistent winner. I realize that 99% of the success starved fans on this site will disagree but I have lived and died for many seasons with this team and Tom Brady is not a Buc. Maybe Bridgewater or Carr or even Rivers, but not Brady.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:34 pm
Tbbucs3 Says:
“It wouldn’t surprise me……. with Brady= 7-9.”
~~~~~~~~
Can you imagine how frikking embarrassing it would be if all it took to turn Tom Brady into a 7-9 QB was the TB BUCS?
C’mon, don’t wish that on us, lol.
I believe we have pieces in place to be a very good team next year…. and Brady with Mike Evans & Chris Godwin, could be an incredible ride.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:35 pm
We are selling our football souls for a 43 year old QB with diminishing skills. Did anyone watch Brady play last year? You are buying FOOLS GOLD! Just sad! I sure hope that someone in the halls of 1 Buc Place wake up and stop this madness!
March 11th, 2020 at 4:37 pm
If Brady doesn’t make us a contender, Winston makes us a bottom dweller in our division.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:37 pm
“Meshawan is a bitch.” Warren Sapp.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:38 pm
honestly… f him… He probably doesn’t watch Bucs games… doesn’t know much about the team.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:38 pm
I think Tampa is stuck with Winston. I think Brady will stay with the Pats honestly. Rivers is going to the Titans I believe. The Titans are looking for a quarterback and that’s public knowledge as well. The fact he bought a house in Tampa means nothing but a retirement home. The Colts look prime to draft a quarterback and use Brissett as a bridge which leaves Bridgewater who I think may sign with Miami if offered a contract or sign back with the Saints. I can also see Bridgewater going to the Chargers as well. Winston will be back on Tampa Bay by default. The free agency will be the tough love recommended.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:49 pm
This talk about Brady is just filler and a waste of time.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:51 pm
Huge Tom Brady fan but not at age 43.
March 11th, 2020 at 4:57 pm
Loved Keyshawn….but he’s a loud mouth, always has been, sure he likes the loud mouth crabby……….
March 11th, 2020 at 4:58 pm
Bringing in Brady would be a typical Bucs decision. I think BA, thank goodness, thinks outside the Bucs.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:00 pm
Wish we can get Carr
March 11th, 2020 at 5:03 pm
Winston #1 Carr #2. Period
Brady is an option that completely ignores the future of the franchise. But hey, it’s a flashy name so let’s sign a 42 year old man. 42!
March 11th, 2020 at 5:04 pm
I watched him yesterday say jameis should stay due to BA being a QB fixer. He said for BA to fix Jameis.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:05 pm
43 in August. Jesus. Brady lovers are absolutely dilullsional.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:07 pm
If you viewed the recently posted videos of JW rehabbing, he appears to be 15-20 lbs lighter. It seems like JW intentionally bulked up to 250lbs playing weight at beginning of 2019 season knowing he would be taking a beating in BA’s offense. May a Carson Palmer gave him a heads up.
Regardless of all the media reports, for 2020, JW knows Bucs are moving to any other QB (your HC not checking in on you after surgeries…hmm). And he is slimming down for quickness and different offense. Not that JW or anyone knows where. For me, just another “tell sign” that JW knows he will don a different jersey next year. All this speculation is interesting. JW knows
March 11th, 2020 at 5:09 pm
The “real” fans just want to see who will have the nicest golf cart in training camp, ole stale biscuit or Brady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 11th, 2020 at 5:11 pm
Can you find anyone with less credibility than him? Let’s get a quote from old deon sanders I’m sure he’d agree. Why would anyone believe he would put in the effort to learn anything about more than one or two rosters in the nfl, he doesnt have that type of work ethic
March 11th, 2020 at 5:13 pm
MeShawn doesn’t think *any* team he’s not on is a contender.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:20 pm
Brady, Carr or Winston
March 11th, 2020 at 5:26 pm
If Tom Brady comes to the Bucs the offense will go from top 3 to maybe breaking the top 10. The defense, running games, kicking game have to be way better. Yeah Brady will throw 15 less ints. That would be the biggest difference, is it enough to make them a contender.. IDK
March 11th, 2020 at 5:33 pm
Will somebody please throw him the damn ball and stop opining!
March 11th, 2020 at 5:45 pm
desperate short term decisions never work out and are always regretted when looked back on.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:46 pm
He’s correct.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:48 pm
The Bucs are crazy if they Bring brady here. I like the guy…best ever don it. But his time is coming to its end. He’s one big hit away from Aidios Amigos . And he will certainly get that hit here in Tampa. Why would you break the bank on a guy who is going to give you 2 yrs at the most if that? Desperation is one thing but stupidity is all together different.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:50 pm
There is no QB available that will be as productive as Jameis Winston . That is the simple fact
March 11th, 2020 at 5:53 pm
Tbbucs3 Says:
“Brady lovers are absolutely (delusional).”
~~~~~~
LOL, gotta laugh.
The guy is not even here yet (may never be) and it is already starting.
So much for peace in the fanbase.
Just playin, Tbbucs3.
All good.
March 11th, 2020 at 5:59 pm
hate jameis all you want but ignoring the fact he is just another in a long list of talented first round draft picks this incompetent organization has failed to develop. jameis failures in tampa are far more a reflection on this franchise than him personally especially given the history recent and past of failed player development. bonzi could populate an entire elf community with all the first round picks bucs have wasted and failed to develop. celebrate the organizational failure now people you will be celebrating failure for the near future. i love look forward to the excuses it’s always entertaining.
March 11th, 2020 at 6:07 pm
He’s right back to the Stone Age
March 11th, 2020 at 6:16 pm
Even at 43 the main thing Brady brings is respect in the league from officials. If Brady signs, expect fewer holding calls on the oline, and more defensive PI and roughing the passer penalties. These are the small things that can mean a win instead of a loss. Historically, Tampa has never been on the good side of officiating, mostly because we are small market and not part of the narrative the league is selling.
March 11th, 2020 at 6:19 pm
@Tampa bay demon
You can put me with the “real” fans with the either Brady, Rivers and last Jay-miss , with a one year deal, and no qb drafted!!!!!!!!!!! That way the New GM and New Head Coach will be able to “start fresh” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 11th, 2020 at 6:26 pm
Get a life losers or go make a friend, you losers are in here everyday for months posting about who the next Bucs QB will be, LMAO Freaks
March 11th, 2020 at 6:28 pm
I’m so tired of this topic.
In other news, a lot of DBs are being released this week.
March 11th, 2020 at 6:29 pm
Now the PeeWee all stars know more than Keyshawn lol, the truth is he is absolutely correct this seems like a strip club hyping up so old over the hill porn star from the 90’s! Can’t run hate getting touched but he is the answer what a freaking joke!
March 11th, 2020 at 6:33 pm
I’d be happy with any of there:
• Franchise Winston, draft Jacob Eason
• Sign Rivers, draft Jacob Eason
• Acquire Carr
• If Dakk hits the streets, do whatever it takes to sign him (It’s looking like he might refuse any deal the Cowboys offer him)
March 11th, 2020 at 6:38 pm
brady in a wheel chair would be better than the bozo we got now
March 11th, 2020 at 6:40 pm
They need more of a run game to be a contender. The price to pay Brady to come here might preclude that, but he might also have control enough to find a runner that fits.
It will be a major change, though, and that is good for the franchise.
March 11th, 2020 at 6:42 pm
I guess the QB position really just comes down to taste.
Ndog?
Do you prefer the taste of Ws, excuses and promises?
Or do you prefer the taste of winning?
Either way …… it’s running down your cheeks!
March 11th, 2020 at 6:44 pm
Perfect Bucs scenario:
They pass on Jameis and he signs elsewhere, they fail to sign either of the two nursing home quarterbacks (Brady-Rivers), lose Bridgewater to another team and are left with nothing.
The Bucs have been making horrendous decisions (Give or take 8-9 years) for over four decades. Why should this year be any different?
March 11th, 2020 at 6:46 pm
I just don’t think so…..
Rivers, Bridgewater…..both available also…….maybe Brady to Las Vegas and then we get Carr……anything could happen….
The odds are that we tag Winston
March 11th, 2020 at 6:47 pm
soggy Says:
March 11th, 2020 at 6:38 pm
brady in a wheel chair would be better than the bozo we got now
————————————————————————-
With the Bucs OL & BA’s system…TB12 could very well end-up in a wheel-chair.
March 11th, 2020 at 6:48 pm
Ieffable dullard repairman
What are you talking about and where have you been the Bucs will still have Blaine and the “whisperer” really trust him! Sarcasms!!
March 11th, 2020 at 6:51 pm
we will probably never know cause brady not coming here-
March 11th, 2020 at 6:53 pm
Rams vs. Bucs
Nfl network
Free agency showcase – jameis Winston.
The defense almost blew that game. So close.
How many games the last 5 yrs the defense has lost us games ? 5?10?20?
March 11th, 2020 at 7:00 pm
Martini
See: T Dungy/ Rich Mckay…sadly that ship sailed..
March 11th, 2020 at 7:14 pm
$100 M Winston
March 11th, 2020 at 7:18 pm
And Payton Manning had a 100 interceptions in his first 5 years. Ok but Jamies has 88 but He’s trash and Payton was great in his first 5 years . Lol lol the national media has a narrative against Jamies and that’s just the truth . So when the next quarterback comes in I don’t want to here nothing about a running game or a defense .
March 11th, 2020 at 7:19 pm
@Adrnagy: about as many as Winston lost
March 11th, 2020 at 7:25 pm
Poor winston he never got a chance to prove his awesome superbowl talent in tampa, he just needed a go down and win the game in the last few minutes game to to show all his awesomeness and hell it might even be in a contract year.. Poor winston
March 11th, 2020 at 7:26 pm
poor 5 year 1st draft winston so sad
March 11th, 2020 at 7:28 pm
Now Kewshan Johnson just said that the bucs will need a running game and a defense . But for Jamies no one has ever said that about Jamies . They are already creating some excuses for just in case for Brady or the next quarterback . That’s the same thing we have been saying for Jamies but no body cares if he didn’t have a running game or defense . So I don’t care if the next quarterback has the same problems with this team that Jamies had . All I heard was anyone will win with this team but Jamies because he’s trash . So I can’t wait to get to the superbowl . According to yall Jamies is the only problem so we don’t have to draft a offensive lineman or a runningback or a defensive player because as long as Jamies is not the quarterback we are going to win lol lol lol . Boy I can’t wait until the season starts I lol lol lol …
March 11th, 2020 at 7:29 pm
Anybody on this site that doesn’t want Brady is absolutely guileless. If we had him last year we would have been at least 10-6. This guy DOES NOT turn the ball over, has a quick release and reads defenses better than anyone “ever.” I’m absolutely “all in’ on having him come to Tampa. Our defense under Bowles will be top 10 next year (we were top 15 in yards allowed last year forget points because the qb solely gave up 110) and we certainly could put up 25-30 points with Brady under center. The difference would be turnovers. WAKE UP!
March 11th, 2020 at 7:35 pm
Tbbuc3
Brady lovers are delusional
Hahahahahaha
You are killing me cause jameis lovers are not delusional
I mean jameis wins 4 out of 10 games
——
How many seasons has brady not won 10 games
He went 9 -7 one season . Only 1 stinking season
The other 17 years/seasons he won 10 or more games (11,12,13,14 and even 16 games )
Tbbuc3 – you look absolutely horrible
You have to be a family member of #3 or a former lover
😂
March 11th, 2020 at 7:38 pm
Brady will be 43 when the season starts.
Brady will want 30+ million per year.
Brady probably doesn’t want to play for the Buccaneers (IMHO), and has other options.
March 11th, 2020 at 7:39 pm
This is one of two things. 1st this is a smoke screen. Why would you put out your plan for free agency. 2nd I respect Brady but I cant see this team doing no better record wise with Brady at QB. Myconcern is why nobody is mentioning how Brady played this past season. If New England is keeping why should Tampa? BA’s offensive scheme isn’t dink and donk and crossing routes. He is required to hold the ball longerthan what Brady is use to. Lastly this is a tactic to drive the price down on Winston or they are drafting a QB at 14. Let’s not forget we need to address the trenches, Safety, Running back, and special teams.
March 11th, 2020 at 7:49 pm
Keyshawn has shared some basic common sense.
The total off season results will determine if this team can be put “over the top” and break out as the playoff ready team it needs to become this season. This is true whether or not Winston returns. It will be the totality of results that matters.
Brady will have to be sold on the team’s overall prospects before he signs on I am sure.
Let’s see if BA, JL and the Glazers together are up to the challenge this year.
March 11th, 2020 at 7:51 pm
You losers need a life
March 11th, 2020 at 8:04 pm
Brady wants another ring.
He has his choice of staying with the best coach in league history who he has won multiple super bowls with before. Plus a cakewalk division.
So he’s going to leave that to play for the worst franchise in professional sports that hasn’t even been to the playoffs in 12 years? With a suspect offensive line.
Never happening. Never was happening. Either the reports
are false, the glazers are morons, or the bucs just want to generate a little publicity to make it look like they want to win.
Brady ain’t coming. Get over it. Its unseemly.
March 11th, 2020 at 8:06 pm
One other possibility is this comes from the Brady camp to drum his price up with the pats.
March 11th, 2020 at 8:10 pm
did’nt he do a superbowl commercial saying he was not going anywhere with a grin on his face, like he was saying read between the lines folks..
March 11th, 2020 at 8:18 pm
Nobody knows anything about who will make us a contender but 1 person we know for sure hasent made us a contender for the last 5 years. Just sayin….
March 11th, 2020 at 8:20 pm
I don’t know if they’ll ever be contenders or not from year to year, what I do know is I’m tired of seeing and hearing nothing but idiocy out of the QB.
He lost me about two and a half seasons ago.
I’m not big on bringing Brady in, but at least Brady represents hope. Winston represents despair. No matter what Jameis does well, I will always be waiting for the other shoe to drop. The roller coaster is making me sick.
March 11th, 2020 at 8:34 pm
Carr has the second most losses in NFL history for a six year QB.
Just sayin.
March 11th, 2020 at 9:10 pm
Responding to the automatons on this site is absolutely fruitless,
March 11th, 2020 at 10:05 pm
If we sign Brady, we will have a great O and and good D , but who will turn the ball over at least twice a game?
March 11th, 2020 at 10:05 pm
Uh oh.
NBA has suspended their season due to virus. Man, I hope the NFL doesn’t do that!
March 11th, 2020 at 10:22 pm
You know I know just thought of something but isn’t it kinda strange that we haven’t heard any rumors about this or that team being interested in Winston as a free agent?
These team know behind the scenes what’s going on. They know how likely a guy is to be avialable. Are we not hearing any links for Winston interest cause they know he’s likely to stay in Tampa Bay?
And say what you want about if he will or won’t find a starting gig. Either way there still will be interest and teams bringing him in for interviews in the least. Your a fool to think otherwise.
Just seems strange to hear nothing on that end.
March 11th, 2020 at 10:26 pm
Hello!!!??? Belichick doesn’t want TB, what does that tell you!!!???
March 11th, 2020 at 10:39 pm
Many burnt out and long suffering fans have lost sight of what the real goals are. (That might be why some are at each other’s throats so much.)
Win a Super Bowl. Become a perennial contender by reloading continuously with the right personnel and with good coaching over the long term. Then win more Super Bowls.
I am sure the Glazers would love that. If only they could figure out how to make it happen.
Let’s pray that BA succeeds in bringing us to the next level this season. This off season is crucial.
Let’s get together and support our team.
martinii and Couch Fan, I agree with both of you.
March 11th, 2020 at 10:44 pm
The Bucs will be standing waiting for Brady to walk down the aisle then turns and is runaway bride leaving us stranded on the Altar.
March 11th, 2020 at 10:47 pm
Louie is a loser
March 11th, 2020 at 10:55 pm
Richard Seymour played well for the raiders after the Patriots gave up on him. Jamie Collins did as well. In fact the Patriots ended up picking him up again. TB has some more good football in him. The Patriots are just doing what they do.
March 11th, 2020 at 11:06 pm
Wplouie
Yah right
Brady worst season as a pro was…are you ready? 9-7
Jameis has only one winning season out of 5 which was 9-7
Bradys other 17 years /seasons were all 10 or more win seasons
Do you understand that or should i repeat
17 seasons with 10 or more wins( 11,12,13,14 wins)
Remember one year of 16 wins (perfect season)
You are prolly right though
Who would want the GOAT
March 11th, 2020 at 11:08 pm
Pay the man 100m
Outside dak and Brady. Winston is the best free agent.
Right on ! NFL network James Jones.
March 11th, 2020 at 11:34 pm
Brady isn’t going to do anything without a solid running game and more protection. Without a real running game and a reliable kicker we won’t win many more games next year even with Brady as QB. Another stupid Buc’s move if we sign Brady. With the Bucs luck Winston will be in the Super Bowl next year in Tampa, playing for another team. It’s a Bucs life.
March 11th, 2020 at 11:36 pm
Bird
This is not about Tom Bradys career numbers or creditionals because he’s had a great career yada yada
This is about a declining quarterback who is 43 years old….43!!
By the logic your using let’s just sign Peyton Manning because he’s had a great career and he’s 43 years old as well.
Your way too caught up in the flashy name and not what’s best for the future of the franchise cause signing an old man QB puts the Bucs on an island and if loser Licht wants to do that it would just be another misstep in his pathetic career as a general manager.
March 11th, 2020 at 11:42 pm
It won’t matter anyway the season will be postponed! I’m telling y’all now JESUS IS COMING! Romans 10:9
March 12th, 2020 at 12:03 am
Tbbucs3,
Hello- look at 2019:
Brady 24 TDs 8 INTs. Ratio 3:1
Winston 33 TDs and 30 INTs. Ration 1:1
Brady is better. Thanks!
March 12th, 2020 at 12:05 am
I didn’t even mention the difference in the skill level of the targets. Name one deep threat for Brady last year, or one guy that would command double coverage on the outside?
Analytics says the Bucs has two top 10
Targets last year and. Brady’s best graded was Dorset at around 24.
Our targets are crazy good. I hope we make a pitch to Brady. It would be nice to win another super bowl or two. He can do it and I believe in the right situation he will go back again to the big dance.
Could you imagine Brady and the Bucs vs the Chiefs in the SB in Tampa!
March 12th, 2020 at 12:14 am
Let us all get real here: A few comments/Questions —
1) Bucco Bruce comments are NOT a smoke screen — to negotiate better contract w/JW.
NO WAY, does Bruce DISS his preferred QB in the way Bruce has dissed JW in off-season. Such as “Unknown Quantity” and so on. Bruce liked JW as QB pre-2019 season….and coached him. Bruce conclusion is that the QB Whisperer cannot coach JW turnover issues.
2) Question for Bruce? Since you, Bruce, are the ultimate QB Whisperer….Does your failure with JW point to JW as un-coachable? Or do you Bruce, require Future HOF QB’s for your offense? Aka – Peyton, Ben, Andrew, and so on…. Hey Bruce, I could perform pretty good as HC or OC with those QB’s at helm.
3)Question for Glazers? — Short term success? Or long-term success? Seems to be short-term, given SB in Tampa next year. I get it! But be honest with fans.
4) Licht; Dotted success, at best, for drafts and FA signings. Who is Jason Licht? Is JL a “decision-maker” for Bucs long-term success, or a Bruce puppet?
5) Fans? – Fan base is 50-50 on JW. Most polarized QB ever for Bucs, for fan base.
What do owners do?
Appears that Bucs leaders are seeking any QB other than JW. At same time, JW is posting videos showing his progress/workouts, to attract other teams.
I ASSUME – that JW is DONE as Bucs QB. not sure where JW will land, and role.
GOT my popcorn going…….
March 12th, 2020 at 12:36 am
SB :: this is the one you called stupid, but you haven’t posted sense that day or have you (under another name) …but these people who want Tom B. … do not mention the fact that he was a seasoned vet when he lied about letting air out of the footballs but as a 23 year old kid, Mr 5,000 is done because he lied…so now we want Tom Lier@Cheater B here and it’s ok ….So many posts and not a word about his missteps! If you want to call me a Racist, it’s your choice…but if you can see it in me then surly like me me you can see it in other places…if you take them BLINDERS off!
March 12th, 2020 at 12:38 am
I had my first bout of Brady Skepticism today when I read someone suggesting Glazers will pay “up to $40M” per year to lure him to Tampa. Uh, $40M? I don’t like the sound of that with our other FA needs on DL. That was just misinformation, right?
March 12th, 2020 at 2:21 am
Bighog,
Did Brady lie about deflating footballs? The NFL definitely didn’t prove anything . The score wasn’t even close to claim that an advantage existed.
No one checked the balls in game with a single device, and balls lose pressure on their own.
But that’s beside the case.
You really attempting to rationalize that a deflated ball is equivalent to a sexual assault? That Brady , let’s say he lied, and Winston’s conduct are equal? Winston lied about the incident, called the victim a liar , was caught in the lie, found guilty by the NFL’s investigation. He lied to the owners , the fans and league. That isn’t in the same universe of misconduct as letting the air out of a couple balls.
How in the blue hel can you even write that down without stopping at some point and thinking…….”I might be seriously demented. ..f it! Jameis is da man ” or something like that. There’s no one in prison now or ever for deflated balls, but prisons are filled with sexual predators. There’s your bottom line.
(Note, I don’t equate what winston allegedly did with sexual assault. But the law has been constantly redefining what is considered sexual assault )

Brady is the GOAT
The dude is still in freak physical shape
Google is workout/eating schedule and drinks like 5 gallons of water a day
He goes overboard
And you talk about destroying bucs future
A). The bucs do that to themselves every year with poor decisions
B). You honestly think jameis can win a super bowl here . I mean cmon man
But he will also be a bridgegap and mentor for the next qb they draft likely this year. Or next.
Its not like they are just going to expire Brady contract and then draft a qb the next year and start all over
The young qb will get to work under the GOAT
Worked out pretty good for Garrapolo and other qbs
Worked out pretty well for rodgers under favre
And on the downside ….what if it is just temporary. We need this. No playoff games in 15 plus years . No real meaningful wins in forever.
Brady gives them instant street cred and road to playoffs
Trust me. Other players will follow the GOAT to Tampa if that is what he chooses. All the dude does is win and he will have a chip on shoulder cause everyone thinks it was bellicheat that gave him success

D1: not trying to equivocate anything other than a lier is a lier and Tom was a seasoned vet when he lied and where was his character! Being who Tom awas the NFL did a half ass job of an so called investigation and his team and fan base never turned on him, my cry now is that they (BUCS) free Mr 5,000 and let the fun begin!!

Brady will not be a Buc. Stop it already. Brady wants to win a Super Bowl. If he even leaves New England he will go to a team who has a legitimate shot to win a Super Bowl. The Bucs might make the playoffs with him, but a Super Bowl. Excuse me, we need a offensive tackle, probably another rush defensive end, a safety, another running back etc… that probably won’t all happen in one year. Also if the reports are true and he wants to call his own plays and also have decision making ability when it comes to player personnel, the front office including the Glazers would have to be insane. Ok, so maybe that one isn’t so far fetched, however Brady behind this o-line will get killed and probably wouldn’t finish the season on two legs. He is no fool and is not entirely driven by money. So quit thinking about Unicorns and gold at the end of the rainbow and get real.
