Didn’t listen to the Podcast because I don’t give two spits what Ira the waffler/traitor/Chiefs says anymore. To me he has lost ALL credibility. And I KNOW if Steve Dumeg was alive he would 100% agree with me! Look, Joe was a good friend of Duemig and you’re just not accurate on this. Ira is NOT from Kansas City. His history with the Chiefs is different and Ira is a Bucs fan. Keep in mind that for decades at the Tampa Tribune, Ira was not permitted to be a Bucs fan per the terms of his job as a journalist. –Joe He would NOT support any other team except the Bucs! He used to LOVE the Eagles till he moved to Tampa then he became a Bucs fan. THATS the way it should be!

Who cares what Ira thinks of his critics? He’s just plain on the downslide, and this area needs another voice to represent us at the HoF proceedings. On the “downslide?” Really? When exactly was Ira’s heyday? Many would tell you Ira is doing his best work right now.–Joe
The problem is there is no credible media outlet in the area, other than the extension of a national brand like one of the networks sports, and I can’t exactly say that’s great either. The downfall of this area was print media not being timely enough and instead of own reporting, grabbing onto syndicates. While JBF has grabbed a niche due to the media void, it will never be top-flight because one of the Joes. I don’t blame Ira for using his own name, but clearly this a backend career move as he spools down closer to retirement. No offense to anyone intended, but Tampa Bay will not be relevant on the national media stage for the foresseable future, meaning representation will lack.

Why is the hate directed @ Ira? Look, Ira got 2 Bucs into gold jackets, the late great Tom McEwan got a jacket for #63, Dungy was a collective effort and anyone else who is in the Hall and was associated with the Bucs were only here for a cup of coffee (Young, Ron Wolf, Tim Brown, Randy McDaniel)…. No one else has any claim to doing what Ira has accomplished. Thus it is pretty obvious that Ira has gotten the job done. It is not his fault if the big market teams’ writers collude together and leave guys like Lynch, Barber and Boselli off of their ballots. I suspect that some of the younger voters do need to be educated by newspaper journalists like Ira instead of comparing notes about who made the biggest impact on EA Maddon and that it is likely these guys are one of the reassons that 47 does not have a jacket especially if Ira has got some of the NE writers like King backing Lynch now….. Give them hell in Tampa next year Ira, maybe you can make a speech for both Lynch and Barber.
