Peter King Talks Tom Brady To The Bucs
January 30th, 2020NBC Sports NFL super insider Peter King, a man Bucco Bruce Arians and Jason Licht actually talk to on the record, is smelling quarterback legend Tom Brady and the Buccaneers as a potential marriage.
First, Joe laughs hysterically when JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman says Brady isn’t so great any longer. Joe would advise Ira to turn on the film, see who Brady is throwing to, look at the numbers and reassess.
Regardless, Brady is eligible to hit free agency and has a clause in his contract that says the Patriots cannot keep him with a franchise tag.
Brady also says he wants to keep playing and, via CBSSports.com, King told a Boston sports radio station today to keep an eye on the Buccaneers.
“The one that I believe is the sleeping giant in this is Tampa Bay, And when I say that, if Jameis Winston is realistic with what his contract demands/requests, whatever are, in my opinion he will be the quarterback of the Bucs next year. But, I don’t know that. I am hearing some things out of Tampa that he might be, and his agents might want a little bit more money than the Bucs want to pay. And we’ll see if that pans out. We’ll definitely see.
“Look, they have a pretty good offensive line and they’ve got two excellent receivers. They’ve got a really good young tight end, and they have a very imaginative head coach and offensive coordinator in the passing game. I can’t tell you absolutely what they would do or what they are going to do, but I can tell you that they are fascinating to me because Bruce Arians isn’t coaching forever. I think he is one of those guys that all quarterbacks say, ‘Man, it would be cool to work for Bruce Arians’ because he’s such a fun offensive mind. …”
There’s more from King via the link above.
Would Brady represent an upgrade at quarterback for the 2020 Buccaneers? Of course.
Would it be reasonable to expect Brady to play more than two seasons? No way.
Would it make sense for the Bucs to sign Brady and draft a quarterback? Maybe. But it would be extraordinarily entertaining for long-suffering Bucs fans.
Just for the theater of it all, Joe hopes the Patriots meet with Brady and agree to release him a few weeks before the start of free agency. Let Brady leisurely check out the market and then make a decision before the free agency dinner bell rings.
Joe would love to see if the Bucs invite Brady in for a some vegan ice cream and a closer look at Chris Godwin and Mike Evans.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:00 pm
TB = Tom Brady, TB = Tampa Bay. Has to be a sign. Will definitely get us some prime time games and a media firestorm on the Bay area. Most likely to increase attendance.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:01 pm
Peter King is high.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:01 pm
Now this is more like It! A credible voice talking pure sense too in the for! Owners should Emory the vault through the total accomodative package for two year big Brady deal.
Where…oh where..is @DR…now
January 30th, 2020 at 2:03 pm
*Empty the vault.
Makes wayyyy too much B.S. and business sense. Gotta make Gisele happy first though.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:04 pm
Autocorrect gracious…BA sense…Brady here for BA
January 30th, 2020 at 2:06 pm
People need to stop doing this to themselves. This WILL NOT HAPPEN. For many reasons our current Gm being one.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:06 pm
No way Brady would play for the Glazers. Wouldn’t even consider it.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:11 pm
TB would be in heaven with 12 and 13 sprinkle in some OJ…perfect in Florida
January 30th, 2020 at 2:12 pm
Why is joe worried about Brady playing more than two seasons, when ole stale biscuit will most likely not be here for the 2021 season??????????
Go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 30th, 2020 at 2:18 pm
Legit question. Why won’t Brady play for Glazer’s?
January 30th, 2020 at 2:19 pm
TB to TB = relevance + playoffs
January 30th, 2020 at 2:23 pm
Tom Brady is too much of a celebrity to play for the Bucs.
If he goes elsewhere it will be the LA Chargers.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:26 pm
King has seemed to be more dialed in to the Buccaneers then most national guys.
The best clue I read in that comment is Winston is asking for more then the Bucs are offering. That pretty much revels right there that the Bucs are in negotiations with Winston currently. He also was quoted that the difference is a little bit. Who knows what the heck that means.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:39 pm
“They’ve got a really good young tight end”
Who is that? Lol
January 30th, 2020 at 2:40 pm
brady is worth 5X what crabman would want. want to see our TE’s BLOW up…sign brady
want to see our O line look good? sign brady
want less turnovers? sign brady
want to see a balanced offense? sign brady
want to see a qb take what the defense gives and not force it…sign brady.
SIGN BRADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 30th, 2020 at 2:41 pm
Joe is absolutely frightened that his great love Jamoist won’t be the QB1 in Tampa, leading us to nowhere. He’d rather have no playoffs with the turnover machine, versus going to the playoffs with anyone else. It’s sad really.
But I can’t believe the GM is smart enough to cut bait on his failed #1 overall pick. And BA seems dead set on going down with the Jamoist ship.
If we stick with failure, I’ll just do a shot for every turnover by the idiot. That should make me oblivious to all the losing.
#NoPlayoffs
January 30th, 2020 at 2:42 pm
@jimmyjoke
If true, it means that the bucs do not mind losing while saving a couple of million!!!!!!!!!!!
January 30th, 2020 at 2:45 pm
if crabman had ANY friggin brains he would take 1 million to sit the pine and LEARN from Brady.
He would be worth infinitely more in the long term.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:48 pm
Only Brady knows. If he wants to win a SB for his legacy to be without question the GOAT (without Belichick )he can certainly think bucs. With 2 receivers 2 TE rojo and draft a RB in the table he would say yes.
Glazer want to be the first to win SB at home then it’s all in.
The only question will be – how is the defense ?
January 30th, 2020 at 2:50 pm
Crazy as it may sound, if they sign Brady, I think we’ll be 10-6 or better.
Just him being on the roster will boost the play of everyone else.
Including the defense.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:55 pm
Another guy who had pick 6 to end the season…. I mean playoffs which is worse. But but but….
January 30th, 2020 at 2:56 pm
Are we forgetting that Tom Brady is 42 years old coming off one of his worst seasons?
Not to mention he would be playing in an offense that is not at all QB friendly as Bruce Arians scheme is traditionally one of the hardest offenses for quarterbacks to play in.
This isn’t Josh McDaniels QB friendly dink and dunk scheme. Oh and Bill Belichick won’t be coaching the defense.
January 30th, 2020 at 2:57 pm
Chris Simms agrees with Ira
January 30th, 2020 at 2:57 pm
Don’t know if it would ever happen….don’t know if it’s even possible….but man it would sure be fun to watch! The greatest QB of our generation, on the back side of 40 years old and clearly not as physically talented as he was a handful
Of years ago, bringing in a winning attitude to some gifted young players, who have only known losing for the last decade….and making a run at the Championship!
If that’s not a Hollywood script waiting to be written, I don’t know what is!
January 30th, 2020 at 2:57 pm
Realisto what are you in elementary school. “If true that means the Bucs do not mind losing to save”?
It’s called a negotiation dope……….How do you think that’s done? Player names price……snap……pay them whatever they want. You need to retract what you said cause it’s amazingly brainless.
Get back to me in a month with that asinine BS. Then again neither of us are at the signing table. We’re just commenting about a blub on a blog……..So you win. You successfully sucked me in to a mindless argument.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:01 pm

Sign Brady!!!Sign Brady!!! A balanced offense with no run game….yea GO ahead and sign BRADY!!!
January 30th, 2020 at 3:02 pm
With Tom Brady you get 1 Year and after that you are walking off a cliff into uncertainty at the QB position. Image wasting the primes of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin being unable to find a QB when you already have a capable one.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:04 pm
I think he stays a Patriot. But it would be a huge coup if Bruce and the Glazers could pull it off. He could play here a season or two and we could draft a QB.
The combination of Brady and the home schedule (Packers, Vikings, KC), would fill the seats and generate local and national attention. It would be a huge boost for the franchise. -Has to be Brady, not Rivers. Would rather keep Jameis over Rivers.
No matter what you think about Jameis, a lot of people in this town will not support the Bucs with him at QB.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:08 pm
Agreed Jimmyjack!
January 30th, 2020 at 3:11 pm
Here is the thing, the window in Tampa is closing, two more years and we don’t have a beat of aDT on a rookie contract, we are going to be needing to re sign or extend all of our Dbs we are developing, LVD, White, our 3 really expensive o linemen will all be looking at new contracts. Cappa would need a new deal, there is no way we can keep Godwin and ME13 when Mike’s contract is up. So I say yes, if you can bring in a guy that gives the team a shot at a super bowl fire two years, do it. We can go back to the rebuild after.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:13 pm
Tbbucs3……Brady’s not going to a new team for one year. He going for a title. He’s smart enough to know that could take 2 years if it works. It’s a 2 year commitment.
Not to say that things always go as planned but 2 years would be the plan. Brady aren’t dumb enough to think his new team is instantly gonna win a title.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:14 pm
Cut bait with Jameis and sign Brady, or another Vet. No more turnovers killing our season.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:20 pm
If Bruce thinks its best to try and bring in Tom Brady I say make it happen!!!! At least we make the national news now and then lol.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:21 pm
JJ
I can promise you that Brady coming to Tampa would not work out as smoothly as many seem to think.
* 42 years old off his worst season.
* No Belichick
* No easy AFC East division
* No QB friendly offense
* No running game
* A defense that still has question marks.
* And Kicker issues
January 30th, 2020 at 3:25 pm
Ain’t getting out of NE.
Nice to ponder though….
January 30th, 2020 at 3:27 pm
Certain Buc fans are so afraid of change that they even belittle the GOAT QB Tom Brady over unproven and mistake prone Jameis Winston.
This is nothing but jealousy and their infinity for one player rather than what’s best for the team and the organization.
If Jameis comes out next season and sinks the Bucs playoff chances by week 6 these same JW fans will slither away and pretend they said nothing. When more than 50% of your fanbase is ready for change …it’s time to make a change.
JW had 5 seasons. Yeah, maybe in another 5 seasons JW could finally win a playoff spot but BA & Co. won’t be here. Some of us might not even be here.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:30 pm
Tbbucs3………That is about as empty of a promise that could be made. My reference? All of sports history.
None of them talking points you listed have any bearing on the 2020 Bucs. Especially the defense part.
No I will not be amongst the loons predicting Super Bowls if this did happen. I also would squander the thought before it even starts.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:31 pm
I can’t help but laugh hysterically at anyone who thinks brady will be great next season.
Guys guys guys… relax. Please do not do this. If Bellichick is done, then learn from it.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:34 pm
^^^^case in point …this guy has no fkn clue how Brady will play next season.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:36 pm
Recency bias is a powerful thing…….The defense plays decent the last two games and suddenly we have a defense.
ROJO plays good the last 2 games and suddenly we have a running game.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:36 pm
Buccernutter. But I laughed at somebody who said Brady would be great 2 years ago. Then he pulled off the most heroic(barely debatable) Super Bowl performances of all time and came back to beat the Falcons.
I think it’s fair to give Brady the benefit of the doubt at this point. If he says he can play I’ll give it to him. He’s made a living proving people wrong.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:38 pm
Buccernutter
LOL! You’re a treat.
If Brady plays in 2020, you can bank on him playing better than Jameis. Less turnovers is key to winning.
Please don’t be silly enough to devalue Brady’s amazing career.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:38 pm
Tbbucs3 it was not 2 games for the defense. Your comment just undermined a whole heck of a lot of good they did. Maybe you missed it. Not me.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:40 pm
Jameis apologists can’t fathom Tom Brady winning football games for the Bucs in 2020, but they’re hell bent on keeping Jameis?
It’s outright hilarious to think Jameis is better than Brady- now or 10 years ago.
Brady may not be a Bucs QB, but he for damn sure would boost our chances at winning. I bet the Vegas Wise guys would pick the Bucs to win more games in 2020 w Brady instead of Jameis.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:41 pm
Tbbucs3
Five years, one suspension, and no playoffs. Half a decade of losing is enough for this fan. Go bucs! Start over! Restore hope!
Wake up and smell the turnovers.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:42 pm
Sorry must of forgot about the great performances the defense played against Gardner Minshew and the Jags and David Blough and the Lions.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:43 pm
No “QB friendly offense???” WTF does that mean?
I see this offense as a QB dream! Great receivers and a coach who likes throwing the ball…
January 30th, 2020 at 3:46 pm
Why are people still talking about this smh media darlings and their offseason fantasies….you think Robert Craft is gonna let his kissing buddy out of NE lol pleaseeeee get real Peter
January 30th, 2020 at 3:46 pm
Whenever I write, the people I have demolished in a debate LOVE to respond. I live in their heads and they breath to insult me with jokes they learned from their 6 year olds.
However, I will digress. He may play well. It all depends on his supporting cast. We will see where he ends up but I am willing to bet he regresses. I just don’t see him playing great. But everyone has their own perspective of playing great. Half the guys that attacked me insist jameis has never been great which speaks volumes about their awareness and football iq.
SteveK where did i compare him to Jameis? 2 posts putting words in my mouth? I know I embarrassed you a couple of times but really, this is how desperate you’ve become?
January 30th, 2020 at 3:48 pm
LMAO
Jean says: This guy has no f*n clue how brady will play next year but posts every single day about how Jameis will play next season.
LMAO You guys are hilarious.
Btw I’m at work when I post. Who’s house are you guys at?
January 30th, 2020 at 3:50 pm
I’m not a Peter King fan but he did get one line spot on IMHO.
“if Jameis Winston is realistic with what his contract demands/requests, whatever are, in my opinion he will be the quarterback of the Bucs next year.”
Did JW sound “realistic” in his final press conference after his infamous two game choke? Zero points in the final three quarters of the two second halves to close out our year as once again…LOSERS!
As for Brady…if he wants JW’s job he’s got it and I’m not sure even BA could override the Glazers!!!
Tough call for them eh? Have the GOAT as your starting QB instead of a goat you can’t even place on the stadium ads?
Money will not be an issue. Brady’s wife is supermodel Giselle Bundchen! Forbes estimated Bündchen’s 2016 income at $30.5 million. Bündchen was the highest-paid model in the world from 2002–2017.
Anybody who has read about Brady or heard him interviewed realizes he is about ONE THING!!! WINNING! It’s all that’s left. Does anybody here seriously believe 5-10 million mean anything to him..he and Giselle are worth a HALF BILLION already. Have you ever noticed a bunch of commercials with Brady in them? Wonder why? Probably too busy in the gym
If Brady took 20 million to play here that’s less than 4% of his net worth and money he could earn in a few months of endorsements.
So money will NOT be a factor. And it’s not about the Glazers…he doesn’t care who owns the team…he cares about who is HC and who calls the shots.
As Chris Meyers said yesterday this would represent a huge jolt to a moribund franchise. JW represents more of the same. It’s entirely possible that JW represents a better chance to win than Brady…that would be irrelevant when compared to the TOTAL packages they bring.
One is a GOAT…the other a disgraced first pick in the draft with a horrible rep from Tallahassee for off field crap enhanced by his first summer off season with the Bucs. 28-42 and 7 pick sixes in 2019 along with the 30-30 club.
IF Brady wants to play for the Bucs all the debate about which player is better going into 2020 becomes irrelevant.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:51 pm
I’m sure Brady will want to go from one of the cleanest pockets in the league to the team amongst the highest in QB hits and sacks. I’m sure he’s pumped for that.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:52 pm
Tbbucs3 maybe you need to worry less about who we played and worry more about how we played. I won’t deny, those teams are weak on offense.
But the defense played at the same high level against better opponents prooving they had a lot to do with it…………..Hey, if our QB did the same we would all be on cloud nine right now. But he folded. Defense not.
But if you need more game to proove then I understand. I think you’ll be plesently suprized this upcoming season.

JW cant even get to the playoffs….lol…..

GO BUCS!!!!!!!
January 30th, 2020 at 3:56 pm
TB12… Would he change numbers or ask CG12 to change? Inquiring minds want to know.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:56 pm
Gisele is not moving the kids to Tampa Bay.
Now , LA or Miami ….?
January 30th, 2020 at 3:56 pm
For all those out there who think/state that Brady is “staying in NE” or Patriots won’t let him get away…stuff, please re-establish some credibility with this crowd…by asking yourselves one simple question….
Why would Brady renegotiate his contract 2 years ago to help the Patriots with cap relief, IN EXCHANGE FOR a clause to be included that says that NE can’t franchise tag him this year???? To then just go out, hear offers, and go right back to NE??? With no offensive weapons. The whole premise is retarded.
Not to say that Brady will actually choose the Bucs, but when you think about it rationally, assuming Gisele isn’t insisting on the LA market for her work, why would Tom go to the Chargers?? Sloppy defense, one WR in Allen who is hurt half of every year, middling TE in Henry if re-signed, plus…they want to go younger after jettison-ing Rivers.
So there’s maybe the Raiders when Gruden traded Carr. No weapons there either, except for Jacobs. NO DEFENSE at all.
So…if Brady.. with that giant chip on his shoulder to win a title without Belichick, which he does…needs a team that has a 1-2 year window with enough weapons to get it done….that leaves the Bus or maybe the Cowboys as far as weapons. Don’t see TB12 doing the Jerry Jones nonsense. And BA would offer him more appeal than McCarthy hands down.
It could happen.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:57 pm
St. Pete……one thing. You said $20M for Brady. That’s not a realistic number. Flacco signed for $22M last off-season. And the price for QBs goes up.
Brady aren’t signed for below market. He’s not a pair on Skechers.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:58 pm
It was really pathetic to watch the love fest fans had with the defense while only playing well a handful of games 2d half while completely ignoring what happened the 1st half of the season.
And btw those last 2 games the defense played well the Bucs were already eliminated from post season contention. Maybe their awful play for much of the season had something to do with that.
January 30th, 2020 at 3:58 pm
813 hahaha…..Thanks for catching that.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:00 pm
Sure… and Giselle is breaking up with Tom to marry the UPS man.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:01 pm
A full stadium (of Bucs fans) can only help our defense! Imagine how loud we could make RayJay if TB12 was QB! I for one would enjoy outnumbering Saints fans in our stadium.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:06 pm
The Question is, how can you have Jameis wINSTon without the INT’S? Impossible…it would be Jameis won. And we know after five years, Won and Jameis don’t go together. Top that, Joe.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:06 pm
Looking at that picture of Peter King laughing pretty much says it all IMO.
He’s laughing at all the Bucs’ fans who took him serious when he said that 42-year-old Tom Brady MIGHT come here to QB the Buccaneers. His whole Nostradamus act is based on Brady saying …
‘Man, it would be cool to work for Bruce Arians’ because he’s such a fun offensive mind.”
No question that’s exactly what’s going through Tom Brady’s mind as he crawls into bed next to his supermodel wife. Ya right.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:07 pm
You can take the old boy out of Illinois, but you can’t take the ISU out of the old boy…LOL.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:08 pm
Exactly my thoughts joe. Get Brady…draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th to sit behind Brady for 2-3 seasons. Draft an OLinemen with the first pick and sign another in FA to reinforce the Oline. Draft the top FA RB and boom! Super…Bowl…Bound!
January 30th, 2020 at 4:09 pm
Tbbucs3……..You need to get a grip bro. The defense learned a completely foriegn system. They also was the side of the ball that had to undergo a complete overhaul in leadership. We freaking had to cut the leader of our secondary midway through the season…………This defense we are talking about was the last place ranked defense in like 4 of the prior 5 seasons………They had a virtual mountain to climb and you don’t even gotta be smart to realize it.
They did a complete 180 midway through and showed us what they are capable of. They have a new expectation now and will meet it this year.
Sorry you don’t know what good defense looks like but we got a good one bro. I have no freaking idea what you think we need to do to fix this defense but it’s fine. If it aren’t they we better start rebuilding. Get rid of JPP Shaq & trade David……….You can rebuild a ton with the money thatll save ya………oh and let me know what young CB you wanna trade since we could use the draft choice to fix our defense. Since it’s no good…..mThats what you want? Your on drugs.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:11 pm
my post is being moderated for the next hour so I will just post it again.
Jean said I have no clue how jameis will perform next year in a condescending tone but posts how bad jameis will be next year on a nearly daily basis.
Ha ya man great pt! You are a great fan and full of logic!!
January 30th, 2020 at 4:13 pm
My question is this:
Who would take 1 year of brady for 27 mil and a qb in round 1 or 4 years of jameis for 27 mil per year with a ot in round 1?
No wrong answer here. Just want to see where everyone’s heads are at.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:13 pm
All’s I know is you gotta be a real spit fan to excuse good football. They play good and some of y’all make a excuse for why they did it.
You idiots wanna tear apart good football. What we gotta do is build on it. I’ll never understand y’all………yous must be the heels begging for a extra loss so we can select #12 instead of #14.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:15 pm
It’s funny to see the sheep think that it all came together and will build till next year!!!!!! Some need To go back and see who they actually beat!!!!!!!!! One win, and one loss against Matt Ryan and three wins against back up QB’s, is what all their false optimism is built on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The truth will be exposed!!!!!!!! But the “real” fans already know and will not buy tickets to witness the losses!!!!!!!!!!
How long does it take for the “win now” coach to start winning????????
go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 30th, 2020 at 4:16 pm
Buccernutter……….If I don’t think Winston can learn to protect the football I pick Choice A all day long. No question.
But I happen to think Winston can develope in Bruce’s offense. Gimme Winston and a long-term deal.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:18 pm
Bryan Glazer recently said the he wants to be the very first NFL team to play in the Superbowl the year they host it. So why not try it with the G.O.A.T?
Bucs need to make a big splash at the QB position to excite and energize the dwindling fan base. And signing Winston is not it.
It will be interesting the next few weeks.
Let the rumors fly!
January 30th, 2020 at 4:20 pm
JJ
I have a feeling that this answer would be 50/50. I agree with you.
It’s funny after your post you get an idiotic post right under it suggesting the defensive play at the end of the season was a fluke.
The typical buc fan is sooo tortured, they write off anything positive. I mean el bucco has stated lavonte david is overrated before. I have a feeling if jameis has 10 ints, they’ll just dig up the uber mess again.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:24 pm
Buc NUT
There’s no apples to apples scenario
For one JW said he won’t settle for tag money so your question is moot.
Second, there’s no real comparison between TB and JW.
Third, JW has proved in 5 seasons that he can’t get it done so it’s pretty easy to assume he won’t be any better in season 6, unlike TB who has proven his ability to rise up against adversity.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:27 pm
JimmyJack
Didn’t mean to hurt the defenses feelings. You sound soft. I’m not going to ignore the 1st half of the season because it cost us a playoff position. Offense was playing great but defense was horrible but let’s blame Jameis cause that fits the agenda.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:28 pm
Yall smoking dope of you think TB will play for THE BUCCANEERS
He will retire before coming here. He needs to be around smart ppl
January 30th, 2020 at 4:30 pm
Really El Bucco said Lavonte was overrated? That’s suprizing. I rarely see that guy ever talk about actual players on the field. To be honest I was certain he doesn’t follow the team and doesn’t know none of our players.
I will chalk that up association. That guy is just one of the crazies on the internet.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:31 pm
If you think interceptions are the primary reason the Bucs we’re out of the playoffs you couldn’t be more wrong.
32 to Danny Dimes
40 to Seahawks (The Jamal Dean game)
30+ to Saints x2

January 30th, 2020 at 4:34 pm
Jean
Dude I often conflict on who’s the dumbest person at jbf, but you always make a strong case.
You’re the one that condescended me for speculating how tom would play next season at 42 years old but spend your life speculating how bad jameis will be at 26 on the internet. I’m not sure how you couldn’t comprehend predicting how two different players will perform next season is rational SMH
JW never said he wouldn’t settle for tag money. There was one alleged source who has yet to be identified that said he wouldn’t play for the bucs if he got the tag. That’s what you’re speaking of?! LOL
Suggesting Jameis hasn’t shown anything to prove he can’t get it done is strictly your ignorant bias. There is nothing intelligent about that assertion and purely your emotional perception. You hate the guy, admit it.

YOU’VE BEEN COMMENTING FOR YEARS NEGATIVELY ABOUT JAMEIS’S FUTURE!!
YOU ARE A SLOWWWWWWW……
January 30th, 2020 at 4:36 pm
Pipe Dream.
If Drew Brees retires, Tom Brady would go to the Saints before he would consider any other team. They are primed to go far in the playoffs. Bucs? Not so much, too many holes. Chargers? When have they been relevant? He doesn’t need LA, LA needs him.
Ultimately, I think he stays with the Patriots and finishes his career with one team as long as there isn’t a lot of animosity b/w Brady and Darth Sidious.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:36 pm
Yes please!
Only to see him get injured in preseason warmups.
Buc luck….
January 30th, 2020 at 4:37 pm
Buc NUT
..and you’re a fake fan
January 30th, 2020 at 4:37 pm
Tbbucs3……Heck no you shouldn’t ignore the first half of the season. I’m not saying that at all………..And don’t call me soft it hurts my feelings.
But it’s fine to make an excuse for the second half of the season? It’s OK to ignore that? Come on.
Look at it for what it was…….We’re we learning a completely foriegn system? Yes
Did our coaches inherit a bottom tier defense? Yes
Did we have to rebuild and reestablish leadership? Yes
January 30th, 2020 at 4:40 pm
Realist- are you really still acting like you know something? Where is your grand proclamation that was supposed to come true last year? How about you, kobe faker, and ou812 all start a show called last idiot standing. My money is in you big guy.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:41 pm
Tom Brady staying or leaving the Patriots would be tipped one way or another with whether Josh McDaniels stays or goes.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:41 pm
^^^now if they didn’t overcome all of that then we got a freaking problem.
That means the defense still sucks.
Yes I’m mad we sucked at the start but we are starting the 2020 season. Time to forget about how we started 2019. Are we really going to choose that as the crap we hold on to? We Been through a lot of crap. Lots to choose from
I don’t care about how we started 2019. I’ve moved on . I’m worried about the future.
We assume we play like we started 2019. I’ll assume we play how we ended it. We’ll see whose right.

more lies, I didn’t turn on Jameis until after his suspension.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:43 pm
Jean that’s still 2 years…smh. Years.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:44 pm
more like 1.5 years
January 30th, 2020 at 4:46 pm
I’m with jean,
Suspension was bad, and the final straw was all the damn turnovers the last two years.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:46 pm
Now Winston just donated 100K to another community’s schools. Someone please come tell us how that much money from jameis is irrelevant, because I bet you those schools don’t think that amount is irrelevant and those kids will certainly benefit big time from that amount.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:47 pm
The “incident” from 4 years ago? FFS, people change, especially kids. Brains develop, thought patterns change, they mature. I question if some of you do.
January 30th, 2020 at 4:49 pm
Alaskan……My brain never developes when it comes to deal with JBF posters.
January 30th, 2020 at 5:04 pm
I’m not making this up . Tom Brady was playing golf in Tampa Bay today .
January 30th, 2020 at 5:06 pm
SteveK…see if you can go one day without posting the word turnovers….
That would be a feat considering it’s nearly every post the word gets used.
It’s like you eat turnovers for breakfast, lunch and dinner…
Tell us again tomorrow about all the….turnovers…we can’t get enough anymore.
I don’t even need to tell you…you’ll do it automatically.
JBF comments these days….yaaawn wash, rinse and repeat by the same posters regurgitating the same stuff over and over again.
Don’t even get me started on that child called Robert….
January 30th, 2020 at 5:06 pm
Lambchop … Saints are built to win the division, but I question how far they can go in the playoffs the way they’re built (very good offense but still just a middle-of-the-pack defense). Doubt that Brady would play for New Orleans if Brees retired (also doubt that Brees will retire this year anyways). Learning a new system is hard, as well as learning how to play with all new players. Very few ‘old QBs’ have ever done that successfully (2 Bama greats … Namath & Starr … sure didn’t). Guess is that Brady will want to go out on top.
January 30th, 2020 at 5:12 pm
Jean
Regardless of the time frame, you cannot dispute the fact you voice your pessimistic opinion of jameis’s future on a near daily basis. In light of that, I would not be the one to criticize anyone on their opinion of anyone’s future in the NFL. I think YOU also need to work on comprehension
SMH. Come on man. What is with some of you guys. I feel like the inmates run the asylum here. Jbf has slowly been overrun by pessimists and miserable opinions.
January 30th, 2020 at 5:18 pm
JJ
That’s pretty much what I’m saying. My problem is when people try to blame Jameis as the sole reason we missed the playoffs when is not. I agree the defense improved and I’m relatively encouraged for next season but a lot of people on here are quick to blame the QB and ignore the massive issues the Bucs had defensively earlier in the season.
January 30th, 2020 at 5:20 pm
How fkn clear do you want me to be?
Yes, I don’t like JW as our QB.
I don’t like JW as our QB.
I don’t like JW as our QB.
I don’t like JW as our QB.
Did that come in loud and clear? Let him go somewhere else to develop for the next 5 seasons.
January 30th, 2020 at 5:28 pm
The GOAT would go from no weapons to a full arsenal
Playoffs would be guaranteed
January 30th, 2020 at 5:32 pm
Jean officially snapped.
Weak people cannot hang with me. Period.
You’ve now entered tmax level.
January 30th, 2020 at 5:57 pm
JJ
You still are not understanding the value of money because perhaps like me you’ve worked hard to get comfortable not flush. Brady and Giselle are flush squared.
People talk about where Giselle works..the kids…yadda yadda..they are worth A HALF BILLION with a B. They either lease or own their own private jets. They are NOT like we peasants.
Brady played for roughly the same amount as Jameis last year..20 million…he could give a rats arse about the “market value”. Flacco…LMAO Brady does not care. He doesn’t need bragging rights he’s the freaking GOAT.
Perhaps you’re too young to remember JJ…”Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”
Brady could park a massive Yacht in the Vinoy Basin…owned btw by the Glazers. He and Giselle could get away from the crowd…paparrazzi…
JJ…stop focusing on the numbers and focus on the lifestyle. Tampa has some things to offer.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:24 pm
Is anyone else curious why we have gone 4 hours and have had over 100 posts and not a word from NDOG?
Perhaps he doesn’t want to argue that Jameis is a better QB than Brady…..or that Jameis can fill more seats than Brady.
Here is one Buc fan that would be happy to have a HOF QB here, even if it were for a couple of years.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:36 pm
ndog has been posting as buccernutter all day. At least they dramatize the same, and are the first to insult.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:36 pm
Important question is how many years.
It’s likely 1.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:38 pm
Jean
Sounds like you get your humor from Mark2001.
Don’t get mad I called you on your bs.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:40 pm
It’s a Glazer thing to do…the Glazer retirement fund…$40 mill to brady because our owners suck and are always 2 steps behind everything. This is classic bucs.
I’d rather have Winston than a washed up brady. The only way he leaves is because Bill Belichick thinks he can’t play anymore.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:43 pm
Poor tiny dancer nutter… successful business owner at 33, meaning working about 60 hours a week, spending time with a family, and time to post all day on a message board. No successful business man has time for that. So maybe he is joking.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:44 pm
called me on my bs?….you’re a fkn disaster
January 30th, 2020 at 6:48 pm
Mark2001 literally just repeated back what I was clowning on him for doing himself, 15 seconds after seeing me post. 😂😂😂. He’s a very successful business owner with multiple homes and spends his retirement debating people half his age on jbf. In between travel to his other homes. He told me this but also indicated he doesn’t care what I think.
Like I said Jean, you and Mark have very similar humor.
January 30th, 2020 at 6:59 pm
I don’t lie.. don’t need to. I’ve never said anything inconsistent about myself on this board. But you seem to spin tall tales. If you can’t handle the truth, that is your problem. I only said them to tell you that you were wrong about me, as you seem to be about other things. I just pointed it out…not debating you…..just trying to educate you.
Many people I agree with and many disagree with. But most of them have a degree of decorum and reasonable mutual consideration for others opinions. You don’t seem to.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:03 pm
BTW.. I never said I was a successful business owner…I said I retired in my 50’s. As usual, I’m setting the record straight. I couldn’t be retired if I owned a business… you either keep it and work, or you sell it or have family take it over. Again, just to set the record straight and educate you.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:06 pm
Let me put a bow on this for you. The biggest issue IF this does happen is there is literally only one outcome that will make it a good decision and that is to win the Superbowl next year. To move on from a 26 year old QB with unlimited potential for a 42 year old well past his prime QB would mean you have to win it all RIGHT NOW! If not it is a failure of epic proportions. So if it happens great but they better win it all or I will seriously consider being out as a season ticket holder cause if they don’t win it all that means they are rebuilding AGAIN and I’m tired of that crap and by doing this they will be announcing to the world in two years we are going to suck out loud. So again if it happens great but they better win the whole thing cause if not that means they think short term I think short term.

Dewey Selmon Says:
January 30th, 2020 at 2:00 pm
TB = Tom Brady, TB = Tampa Bay. Has to be a sign
__________
Sounds like pretty sound logic to me. And if we can’t land Tom Brady maybe we can get Teddy Bridgwater. Taj Boyd might be available as well. Maybe Tony Banks can make a comeback. Maybe Todd Blackledge. Or Terry Bradshaw. And we can get Troy Brown out of retirement. And Teddy Bruschi and Tyrone Braxton to unretire and play D to be coached by Todd Bowles. Sign Toni Braxton and Tyra Banks to be cheerleaders. It’s meant to be, right?
January 30th, 2020 at 7:15 pm
Mark
You seem to pt a lot of things about yourself out for someone who doesn’t care what others think. Did you really need to convince someone who “spins tall tales” that I was wrong about you? Lol. No debate. You just are in no position to be educating anyone. You did say I was a college student who majored in dance. But I spin tall tales? Lol ok.
It’s funny how much you know me, but don’t care what I think, to draw that conclusion from our limited discussions. You don’t seem to know much though.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:16 pm
Ndog… And if we go a three year 30 mil with Jameis and he regresses or stops growing, where are we? In the same place you said we would be in with another guy or worse. But in either case we should draft a young QB with potential that grows into the job in a couple years, if Arians thinks he is on the board. If he is better than the new QB or Jameis in a couple years, move on. If not, trade him.
Personally I would like a low 20 contract with incentives that Jameis can earn 30…if he grows and earns it. That decreases the risk for us, but increases the risk for Jameis. But as I said, 30 basically gambles the future of this franchise on Jameis.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:17 pm
ndog: Unlimited potential? BUWAHAHAHAHA. It is about winning now. I don’;t want either jackwagon at qb but I think Bill knows when the gig is up with players so the only way Brady is anywhere else other than NE…it is because Bill thinks they are done. That’s enough for me. But it’s a buc life. Brady will be here and we’ll suck.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:18 pm
I do care what some of the posters I’ve gotten to know of the years think, to some degree. You think I care what you think? Wrong again.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:22 pm
Peter King must be high saying stuff like that in the beginning. Didn’t he see what the Glazers have done. Proved Arians must be dumber than he THINKS he is. That was unacceptable and I am so done with his ass here. Cause that was a Jackass I just heard doing that.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:27 pm
Mark2001
You have told me you don’t care what I think 3x already. It’s one of the first things you’ve said. You’ve also told me you’re in your 60s, married with kids, have several houses (including a lake house), and corrected me to state you had an early retirement, not a business, due to a successful career after acquiring a mba.
You also told me I “spin tall tales” after informing me I am a college student who is lying on social media about my life because I am a major in dance.
Lol. It’s just strange. Trust me, you’re not educating anyone.
It’s okay though, I know. You don’t care what I think. You’ve been telling me (a stranger on the internet) a lot in the past day.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:30 pm
Bruce is outta here if you ask me. What kind of “Quarterback Whisperer” makes you stupid. It was the one in your back yard Buccaneers fans. Did that ship sail yet that I know he wasn’t on? That final voyage my FAMILY was on in 2012 wasn’t the last one I sent a request for either.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:33 pm
Buccernutter
There you are bitch. I remember you too, screaming at some other guy about something He NEEDS to get off his chest. Remember TOM mofo? Yeah, he probably remembered that too.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:36 pm
Big Stinky
Oh ya, that’s right. You wrote about 500 words about Tom.
Not sure I remember Tom.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:37 pm
Buc1987,
My apologies. They are true though. Our only championship came on the heels of an all-time great defense, and a team that managed the game well.
I understand where you are coming from. You’re a great fan and I respect you. I remember our back and forth six years ago regarding Freeman. It was fun and in the end, Freeman was not the answer.
Albeit different happenings this time, but the QB isn’t winning and doesn’t show signs that we will overcome this main issue with ball security
I’m starving for playoffs. And, I believe as a devout fan of the Buccaneers that some “fans” would truly rather lose out with Jameis then try to win with someone else. Combine the last press conference, “I’m ballin’ check your sheet”, with the asking price of $30’million, and it’s a no effing brained to say goodbye.
Did I do it, one post without the “t” word?
Thanks,
SteveK

Go back to the 24th of January now and find that article we were arguing in. You’ll find it if you ever want to apologise for it. I don’t care what you do now cause he is gone. Who knows, your rant might have sent him screaming to Hell if you ask me though. It happened around noon.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:41 pm
Sorry Tom.
Whoever you are.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:46 pm
He never deserved what you did to him. But you didn’t really deserve what I did to you after it. Because after I saw you DENY what I said I lost it and apologize for how I handled ALL of it. The rage I feel is what I apologise for I went off but you NEVER saw what I said because Joe.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:49 pm
Lol it’s not that serious bud.
I saw it, I just didn’t read it. It was LONG.
Take the internet less seriously bro. We’re all bucs fans.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:50 pm
I gotta go though. I have dance lessons tomorrow.
Mark’s my teacher.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:51 pm
Buc1987,
Fair point, but I will stop preaching the historical importance of turning the ball over, as soon as some, Joe included, who excuse the turnovers and are willing to overlook them for positive stats. When in reality, the positive is fool’s gold bc it’s negated by record setting bad.
I understand your point and I’ll work on it. I get upset and feel lied to when some fans call others “clueless” and refuse to acknowledge historical data that turnovers are he culprit to all the losing.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:54 pm
Good stuff on this thread. Love the divergent opinions. We need to come together and it may take a new QB.
If they go Jameis, I will support it, and I will be ready for complete housecleaning: GM, HC, QB if they don’t make the playoffs.
I can’t watch 6 years of Licht/Jameis no playoffs and even imagine the possibility of either one back for a 7th year. Terrifying stuff.
January 30th, 2020 at 7:54 pm
well said SteveK

Spot on again. I feel the GM and Coach goes now though. If that 7-9 season taught me that he screwed up Jaboo after Koetter left. What’s that he told him again, “Grip it and rip it too” I bet.

All good man. Nothing bothers me on this site.
Fire away.
Have a good night
January 30th, 2020 at 8:05 pm
Team success will bring us together. Regardless of who’s QB.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:06 pm
Riiight.
FYI, the Bucs would not be able to afford Brady.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:06 pm
Nothing I haven’t told everyone else, Nutter. Podcast? Email? No. Nothing too personal. After all, it is a message board.
BTW..I was speculating about your profession, since you wouldn’t be honest. That isn’t spinning a yarn… You really don’t understand the difference? Wow.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:15 pm
Mark2001
Thank you so much for explaining yourself, again. I was really beginning you didn’t actually care what I thought. It made me sad.
You’re speculation was correct. You educated me so much today. I learned when I say something, it’s spinning yarn and when you do, it’s speculation. Thanks so much!
See you at dance class tomorrow, teach.

That’s cool what you did there. Are the TWO of you friends or what?
January 30th, 2020 at 8:21 pm
I’m proud to say we’re lovers. 🥰
January 30th, 2020 at 8:29 pm
Yes I would say we’re soulmates.
Not sure how he feels though. He keeps telling me he doesn’t care what I think though. ☹️
January 30th, 2020 at 8:30 pm
Because that’s a VERY special thing to Me right there. Lovers and SOULMATES and all that in Life. Because Life is what you make of something and that could be just a magazine too.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:37 pm
I know Mark2001 is my soulmate.
He’s educated me enough to be sure of it.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:39 pm
You never really see them though. You have to pay attention to the DETAILS for sure.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:40 pm
Well mark2001 has gave me almost every detail of his life today so I’m confident.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:44 pm
Just got back from taking a big stinky……and note that Ndog actually sanctions bringing in Brady IF……IF we win a Superbowl with him next year……(I’ll give him two)…..
For me….it’s IF we move on from Winston…..why not Brady?……why Rivers or Dalton or some other pretty good QB…..but not great.
The key is developing a young QB during the process….
January 30th, 2020 at 8:46 pm
Have you ever heard someone say, “A man only truly loves ONCE in his life”. Do you BELIEVE me saying that? Okay! So why don’t men fall in love with two or three people because I have.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:46 pm
**given
Sorry. Mark insisted I major in dance for his pleasure, thus the spelling errors.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:48 pm
I’ve personally fallen in love with mark2001, tmax, El bucco, t Rex, and Jean.
They’ve all told me the same. I’m one lucky guy.

Are there ANY women in that picture you just painted for Me to look at.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:57 pm
They are all women. 😁
Sorry ladies, I had to tell someone.
January 30th, 2020 at 8:58 pm
Interceptions are low hanging fruit to blame the losses on. Elementary.
I climbs the tree and see our defense is still below average
Kickers still costing us games Gay= Agauyo
Safeties cant cover especially Edward’s
Oj is garbage. Brate is old and hurt
Peyton Barber and Jones are boo boo
Mike a star 1 week and then Chris the next but not at once. Perriman was weird. Scotty miller looks ok Watson is garbage
Oline is below average
Jw is a turnover machine and 30 ints seems to be right and fitting when you throw for 5000 yards.
Jw Godwin Me13 are the only outstanding players on offense we have. Mike and Chris is not playoff bound if we made it anyway and it’s ok its football
In spite of all above…. if we make 2 kicks and a stop. We are 10 and 6 and probably playoffs.
That’s how I see it. So Bucs better make the right decisions and time is now. This offseason will be the staple of the next generation
January 30th, 2020 at 9:02 pm

actually I think you’re an @sshole
January 30th, 2020 at 9:04 pm
My heart is broken.
Oh well, I’ll never forget the time we spent together. Naked.

Glad I left you with such indelible admiration. I told you size does matter, shorty.
January 30th, 2020 at 9:14 pm
And boy were you right!
I just didn’t know you meant weight. You do look exactly like Newman from Jurassic Park.

Sounds like everyone wants a CONTRACT for control, like Jaboo does I guess. Because we get what we get in Life no matter what. And you WILL get yours too if you EVER made one.
January 30th, 2020 at 9:20 pm
OK……I erred….it was just a little stinky…..
January 30th, 2020 at 9:37 pm
Thanks Joe for losing my last post I guess. I will let you make the DECISION for me to quit.
January 30th, 2020 at 9:39 pm
Have a great night ALL of you I talked to again because I am tired of this ANYMORE.
January 30th, 2020 at 9:45 pm
How many Buccaneers fans want to see the Niners win this weekend because I know I do? He may be the ONLY reason too. Otherwise I may have went with Mahommes like Ira did I’m sure. You see, this is ACTUALLY EVERY true Buccaneers fan wish. I want another one for Tampa and without Winston too. Did Winston ever win the Super Bowl that TIME or what in 2019?
January 30th, 2020 at 9:52 pm
I guess he could have been there then. Because that’s his Super Bowl now. He won’t be in the NFL much longer because you don’t remember what happened in 2019 from what I can see. He NEVER came to Tampa on my TICKET to fly. Everything better get out of Tampa Bay now. Not going to be a part of this SHOW anyway. Mine has a DIFFERENT ending I guess.
January 30th, 2020 at 10:16 pm
Wow it’s like the Kardashians up in hurr!

BRADY! BRADY! BRADY! BRADY! BRADY!
TALK ABOUT A SPLASH SIGNING AND INSTANT PLAYOFFS!!!
MAKE IT HAPPEN GLAZERS AND LICHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 31st, 2020 at 2:54 am
robert is right:
winston should sign for 2 years at a million per season…and be #2
brady should sign 2 years 60 million and start…
winston needs to sit and be mentored by ole tommy for a couple years…
jameis can watch, look and listen…
then in 2 years sign jaboo for 5…he will be ready to act like tom by them…
#MakeJameisActLikeTom
January 31st, 2020 at 2:55 am
we can sell shirts that say:
“make jameis act like tom”
no more “its a bucs life” or “seize the day”
let’s go with:
“MAKE JAMEIS ACT LIKE TOM”
January 31st, 2020 at 7:00 am
Over the years, King has said a lot about the Bucs that did not come to fruition. That being said “my body is ready”.
