You guys are such Winston homers. Why Joe? WHat has he done here? Nothing.
WInston sucks and we aren’t winning anything with him.
Wake the hell up.

Wake up??? You are the one that needs to wake from his sleep. Go look around the NFL at what teams trot out as quarterbacks. Pure and unadulterated garbage.
If you listened to the podcast, Joe has said over and over again (yet it doesn’t sink in on Ira) that unless or until you get a quarterback better than Jameis, better buckle up and be prepared for the nuclear winter for years.
Joe doesn’t see too many guys walking the streets who can throw for 5,000-yards in a season.
No matter what position, Joe is against unloading a player until or unless you get someone as good or better.
Why is that so difficult to comprehend?

Will Clueless Joe be there to roast for being a creep towards Rachel Watson and being the least knowledgeable media member in Tampa?

Fitzpatrick proved he could do as well as Jameis with these players. Fitzmagic was benched for having a Jameis-type game.
I am not saying bring Fitpatrick back; I suggest that his performance here shows us that Winston is replaceable.

I’m a huge fan of Ira, he is a reporter first. His perception is more reality based than the Joes. Everybody has a right to an opinion, I can’t be overly critical of the Joes for those. Many would disagree with mine. The results however do speak volumes against the opinion of those who “can live with turnovers” because passing yardage and touchdowns negate it. Or even the argument that “who is out there?” thats better. I did a quick crunch on the top QBs, 1-5 vs 6-10 based on yardage stats and Jameis is # one in that one but the interceptions are a common denominator on losing as is yardage stats.
These are the average numbers, although Jameis is the the biggest culprit of turnovers except I totalled the W/L of the teams these QBs play for
1-5: Winston, Prescott, Rivers, Goff, Ryan:
Yardage: 371 YPG, TD: 1.4 PG, INT: 1.16PG, QBR: 89.8, TOTAL W/L- 33-42
6-10: Wilson, Maholmes, Watson, Brady, Wentz
Yardage: 319 YPG, TD: 1.7 PG , INT: .46 PG, QBR: 98.6, TOTAL W/L- 52-23
All QB’s 6-10 are in playoffs. Of 1-5, ZERO teams are in the playoffs. JW and the other 4 QBs totalled 87 INTS, while QBs 6-10 only had 35 INTs.
You simply to say that yardage/TD’s can offset turnovers is simply wrong. You cannot under any circumstances get into the playoffs with a high turnover quarterback, it simply doesn’t work that way.

Conclusion: replace a high-turnover QB for a low turnover QB, get less yardage and pass attempts and have a much better shot at getting into the playoffs.
Ira’s point regarding throwing 30 ppg vs 45 ppg and running the ball better is certainly a formula for winning.
Regarding QB salaries, very hard to pay Winston based on yardage/TDs, consider there are 8 teams in the NFL that will end up with 7/8 wins. Steelers, Colts, Titans, Bucs, Eagles, Cowboys, Bears, Rams.
The average QB salary for those teams: $11,000,000 per year. Winston, Goff, Trubisky, Wentz all over $25,000,000. Prescott under $1,000,000. Other 3 backups (hey they have as many wins as Winston) are all $7,000,000 or less:
Tannehill, Brissett and Rudolf.
