Being down some playmakers on offense I’m looking for the defense to step up and make some impact plays for us today.
Also looking to see if Special Teams can make some big plays. Can’t expect much from the return unit but how bout we finally get home and block one(been close quite a few times)? Or pop a ball out on coverage? Like keep we’ve done before.
Maybe the biggest group that’s gotta step up is our RBs. They have contributed almost nothing all year long. Time to freaking pull your weight. If these guys can’t get it done it’s biggest reason yet that we must get a RB for this team……which is probably still true reguardless!!!
Lets go BUCS. Somebody step the freak up!! That’s how you “next man up”!!

If I’m Winston, I do not attempt another pass the rest of the game to any of the WRs, except an occasional deep shot to Perriman. I would defy any instruction from Leftwich.
Run the ball, get it to TEs on quick passes, create misdirection & mismatches, but never throw the ball to any of these high school WRs except for maybe Perriman.

Jameis is playing like crap and still going all out to win. Win or lose today, this is a major player next season. This team has so much heart. These young CBs are gonna be great. This is the rest of the league’s wake up call. In 81 the Redskins started something like 0-5 in Gibbs first season. They finished 8-8. Tom Landry asked what he was happy about after the Cowboys won another division title. He said he was happy he wouldn’t have to face the Redskins again. This team is onto something special. Keep that front 7 together and re-sign Mr Excitment and let us have a run next season. NFL’s youngest team looks like NFLs most talented team as well.

If your QB is innately a high-risk passer, then why do you maximize the frequency of high risk passes with the play-calling?
This runs counter to logic but explains exactly why Winston’s productivity and turnovers increased this year. This isn’t rocket science, but still too difficult for a lot of people to figure out…. it’s like tariffs, if you are insanely ignorant of economics, you think they are a good idea.

Absolutely embarrassing half of football by our QB. Yet he brings that confidence that he can always get you back in it.
It’s still a different Winston out there. The decisions are better. Protecting the ball from fumbles better. Execution is lack of ng today, again. Couple bad throws. Couple poor reads. Betting he stared down a few receivers too. Freaking guy has the heart of 2 lions. I’ll buy that.
We are dominating today. We are a good football team. Mistakes holding us back. Primarily Winston. Also Watson running shabby route….cost a TD. Perriman couldn’t bail out his QB in the Endzone…..cost a TD. Also more poor footwork from Brent. Barber coughing up a ball…..cost us points. Getting FG blocked.
Aside from those mistakes we are purely dominating a playoff contender. This will come down to the 4th
Defense is freaking amazing. VitaV is absolutely unblockable except when they get away with holding. Secondary is absolutely fixed. No doubt about it. LBers all over the place and Devin White is on the ball every play.
Lastly the refs are a disgrace to this game….And I’m sorry I hate cry about refs but it’s entirely unprofessional to miss a facemask that blatent. Another quick whistle cost us. 3-4 ticky tack pentalys only on us……..calling ticky tack is fine if it goes both ways which it clearly is not. They don’t even know how to spot the ball and why does the clock run when a fumble goes out of bounds? That seems wrong to me(maybe I’m wrong).
Freaking wanna pull my hair out but dangit if this team aren’t a good football team that can finally compete in this league. These mistakes can be fixed!!

Todd Bowles is awesome. This defense has gotten better and better. A big reason is because all these young d backs have gotten better and better. I mentioned at the beginning of the year that they sucked but they were young and we need to give them some time. They are not all great, but there are definitely some players back there.
leftwich has gotten better with the offense too.
They basically need another lineman, a better running back, and Jameis to throw 12 interceptions or less per year.
I had no expectations this year, but right now – next year is starting to look extremely promising.

For those of you easily confused. Jameis has done nothing stupid this half…in fact one good run. He has played the game I said he should play two days ago. But the story of this game and half particularly, is the play of this D. Said it before and will say it again. We can be dangerous, entertaining, and win a good number of games with his risky throws. But we will never win a championship. Now if he can play like he has the second half, and deliver some downfield open passes? And the D can keep doing what they are doing? James is definitely off because of the Pham, and he stayed in some bad interceptions, but Ronald Jones and Watson and Howard have all either slipped or stopped the route on passes that would’ve been completed for first downs.

I think the only player on the team that could keep up with Watson on the Bucs is LaVonte David but you don’t want him spying and taking him out of coverage on these passing downs.
Obviously the other three linebackers, White, Barrett, and JPP could not spy him. White has been beaten by Watson on two of those runs.

Every play call that does not work you act like the coaching was poor.
1. Every NFL team has defensive play calls where a linebacker might end up covering a wide receiver. Sometimes the other team can make a good call and exploit that.
2. LaVonte David is clearly the Buc’s best linebacker in coverage it isn’t even close.

1. Horrible pass
2. The worst play call of the day. The middle of the field is completely wide open because of a prevent defense. They have plenty of time and a time out. Why are they throwing a long, across the field, out pattern to a running back?
Brate or Howard or the running back would be wide open for 10 all the way down the field in the middle.
