Gameplan The Difference

December 15th, 2019

Lauded by head coach.

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians had a simple answer on the Buccaneers Radio Network why the offense was clicking today.

Even though Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, set an NFL record with two straight games throwing for 450 yards, Arians wasn’t giving Jameis all the credit.

Right away, Arians said it was “all 11” on the offensive side of the ball.

“Starts with Byron Leftwich who had an extremely good game plan and we executed it very well,” Arians said.

The veteran Bucs coach also lauded the time pocket the offensive line built for Jameis to throw in.

“It starts with protection and then guys getting open,” Arians said.

Arians also admitted the Bucs might have to do a body count with so many receivers hurt today. Chris Godwin and Scotty Miller went down with hamstrings and backup tight end Tanner Hudson, who last week played some receiver, was being evaluated for a concussion in the second half.

“We will have to figure out who we have left next week,” Arians quipped.

    Phenomenal game called today.

Joe I appreciate you giving credit where it’s due. Your critism eariler in the year was fair too.

Listen to a lot of Buc opinions and almost nobody that was highly critical of Byron is giving him his deserved credit now that it’s earned. Now they just ignore the subject. Appreciate the fairness here.

Yes great gameplan. He finally ran an end around.

I’ve been very critical of both Jameis and Leftwich, but I can’t deny what’s happening. The turnovers will never go away completely, but they have something real special going on right now. You don’t mess with that. I’m on board with these guys. This appears to be what everybody has been waiting 4 1/2 years to see. Well here it is. Enjoy Buc fans.

    Great job joe….

You wondered if BL would come thru and he did….

We have a young mastermind on our hands….

BL is an HC in the making

Today is one of the few games where they didn’t need to score 30+ to win a nail biter. JW is the best QB in Bucs history and if he’s not back next year, this team will go another 40 years till they get another QB close to his talent. It’s crazy how people think great QBs grow on trees!

How good could this team be with a solid defense that placed like today and a RB that could at least sniff 75+ yards rushing.

Hopefully the defense (DB’s) will continue to improve into next year. This team desperately needs some OL help and a decent RB.

Maybe we need to draft a trainer/therapist that understands hamstrings.

  8. Pugs&Bucs Says:

The announcers kept saying over and over today about how so and so “slipped” and then there was a graphic of about 6 players who all went out with hamstring injuries. I’m curious if in the coming days we don’t see a story about field conditions in Detroit.

lol yea time for the Sports Science team to figure out the deal with all these hamstring issues… Once or twice might be a coincidence, but I think that’s 4 guys now with hammies? (Evans, Godwin, Miller, Whitehead)

The grooling schedule from coast to coast + ovetseas = Hammies!

  11. Blogtalkfootball.com Says:

Let’s find a good offensive line coach, the guys we have just need proper technique and we could blowb the doors off the run game. Both of our backs could be 100 yarders with better blocking.

  12. Costa Rica John Says:

Byron Leftwiches offense didn’t t do very well in Arizona last year. Better give him a couple more years before he becomes a head coach. If not you might get Raheem Morris 2.0

  13. Dano Says:

This Oline does Not run block! Very frustrating to watch 2 yard gains!

  14. TOM Says:

BL for the most part has been crap all year. JW making him look like a genius.
