Bruce Arians’ Son: Expect 8-10 Targets To Cameron Brate
November 23rd, 2019Joe loves a good eye-opener before a Bucs game, especially prior to dialing up Sunday FanDuel lineups.
Bucs fans saw a shocking revival of tight end Cameron Brate in the Tampa Bay offense last Sunday. Brate got a whopping 14 targets, a career high for him by a mile. His next highest total was 10 — in Week 3 of the 2016 season.
Of course, part of Brate’s barrage of targets Sunday was because O.J. Howard screwed up early in the game. But the son of Bucco Bruce Arians, former kicker Jake Arians, noted on his podcast for TheDraftNetwork.com that Brate is “finally healthy” and that was a factor, in addition to Brate being “the checkdown” against the Saints.
The younger Arians said Jameis Winston using the checkdown so much is a sign of quarterback maturation. He also added that he expects Brate to get 8 to 10 targets tomorrow against the Falcons.
That last part really perked up Joe
That’s a lot of targets. Is this a clue that Howard is deep in Bruce Arians’ doghouse, or is Brate simply healthy, more sure-handed and coming off an excellent game?

Wow, that’s really exciting, 8-10 targets short of the sticks and when caught, gets blasted right away for zero YAC.
Those Dirty Birds better be ready!
How many targets is Julio Jones forecasted to get?

Elio, about the time you think that about Brate he winds up under the goal post with the ball in his hands on a seam route for a touchdown. He has a knack for catching td’s and has great chemistry with Winston.

Brate has shown his reliability. Having him and RoJo working underneath give Jameis a couple options when plays breakdown.

Better check your stats. CB doesn’t get YAC but he does seem to get more than a few first downs.

he’s the best TE on our team ans should be more involved

@Joe
Do you really think Winston deserves to come back next year? If so, I question your desire to win a championship. The jury is out and only the blind loyalists still believe in him. I just wonder how many interceptions it will take for you to wake up to reality.

Not sure I believe this. Isn’t it ou “MO” that after a guy has a “career game””, he doesn’t see the field next game? See Jamel Dean for that. I hope these idiots learn from their mistakes. Doubt it but here’s to hopin’

Yeah I’m just an idiot.
Brate has played in 8/10 games and has less than 300 yards and 2 TDs.
No talking smack on Brate here.
He is making $7mil and we have an offense that only features him when OJ screws up and our QB throws way too late.
Rewatch the Saints game.
Geniuses.
But yeah, let’s all get excited over the potential targets tomorrow.

Unless you decide to draft a starting QB, yes.

Brate is legit. He catches the ball and scores touchdowns. Suck it Haters.

“12 weeks and it’s taking BA/BL twins to figure out JW likes to throw to TEs
It’s still taking over 12 weeks to find a replacement of Humps production. BA/BL twins trying to square peg Perriman/miller twins into the outlet reciever for JW
Leftovers playcalling and game planning is 12 weeks behind a qualified offensive coordinator
But he is ready to be a head coach”

What happened to our number 1 draft pick that BS said was too valuable to trade?
November 24th, 2019 at 9:12 am
Why would anyone give a damn about what BA’s son has to say?
Don’t give much of a damn what the old man has to say, since it’s 98% BS.

Trade OJ for a extra pick use it on o line

Don’t know why they hadn’t been using him, but assume it was that injury in Nashville.
