America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, had one of those NFL microphones embedded in his football gear on Sunday.
That means Jameis and those in his close proximity were recorded — audio and video — all game long with fun and enlightening highlights to be shared with fans.
Joe’s got the video issued by the Bucs below:
Jameis sure seems more subdued than in year’s past, or there’s been a change in how the Bucs want Jameis presented on these videos. Joe can’t be certain.
Great look at Jameis scrambling here, as well as his work in the pocket. Also of note, Jameis threw two interceptions against the Cardinals but you’d never know it watching this video. Are we to believe nothing worth hearing or watching was said after those picks.
Ahh, the power of editing. Joe supposes the Bucs felt fans have endured enough of Jameis turning the ball over, more than any quarterback since the start of the 2015 season — by a wide margin.

You mentioned that Winston has to overcome two defenses on Sunday; the opposition and his own plutons defense.
I ask you, how many points do other teams score off
Turnovers, and can we deduct those from points scored to get a true feel for “net points”.
Ultimately the most points on the scoreboard wins games, but what we have here is fools gold.
No more turning it over more than anyone. Then we will have 12 more years without playoffs.

He has 2 horrendous games this season where that should be a factor. The other 6, are average or better games by jameis in which those turnovers should only minimally effect the other teams final score and give them an advantage.
Essentially, he lost the Niners and Panthers game. Both extremely good defenses. He was one week into his first terrible game and still early in the new scheme vs the panthers.
If defense is average, we win giants game, seahawks game, and titans game. We should be 6-3 under jameis. But cuz of our defensive backs are so terrible, casual blame goes on the qb and that’s what’s wrong with this fan base and team for the most part. 6-3 and the narrative of our qb is very different. Especially if the defense is still bad, but not incredibly terrible. A good defense and we could be undefeated.

The fact is Jameis has 8 ints in those 2 games. He has 4 fumbles in those 2 games. 12 turnovers in 2 games against what we have found out are extremely good defenses. He has 6 ints in the other 7 games. He has 6 fumbles in those other 7 games. So essentially 12 turnovers in 2 games and 12 turnovers in his other 7. 6 average per game vs san fran/carolina and 1.7 in the other 7 games. Keep in mind as well, not all of those fumbles were lost so those go down slightly.
Casual fans are going to look at final numbers. Let’s be real he was one day into the new scheme vs san fran and still fresh vs the panthers while our defense gave up all kinds of pts to KYLE ALLEN!
Jameis isn’t the problem. He’s becoming less of one. Bruce is WORKING! JAMEIS IS IMPROVING! He has 2 terrible games and 7 good to great games.
Once the d backs are resolved we will contend. Drafting a rookie is lazy analysis and I swear if we do that and not prioritize the REAL PROBLEM WHICH IS THE D BACKS, then we are setting ourselves back. Ya the rook could be good overtime but the quickest route to success is on the other side of the ball.

The present NFL offenses and OCs have come to a conclusion that the short passing scheme is successful in this modern NFL and defenses. The past 5 years they have concluded that by getting the ball off quickly, it beats the defenders pressure. They have also realized the short passing attack is efficient and highly probable of completion. This short passing game has now replaced the running game and more probable to convert 1st downs if 4/5 yards are needed to move the chains

Winston just led us to victory. What is so hard about looking to see him do it again this week. It could be a huge confidence building was n for this team. Could also help us see that Winston is mastering this offense and is improving with this staff.

I will agree with Bucernutter on this one.
Made FG against the Giants, which only happens after Winston drives the team with BIG passes to inside the 15yd line and the team is 4-5.
Stout defenses against the Seahawks and Titans wins those games (refs not screwing us on a defensive TD return would have greatly upped chance against Tenn).
Offense put up the points and defense did not stop the opposing team. Two critical fumbles that were caused by O-line getting manhandled is somehow put 100% on the QB, with no mention of Dotson and Smith deserving blame.
Turnovers happen. Less TOs lead to better games.
I’ll also throw in that Winston has been smacked in the noggin so many times without a penalty thrown that it is utterly ridiculous. Add that to referees that have bungled fumble calls in THREE STRAIGHT GAMES.
Not once this year has the team been blown out. For those that remember the years of Morris, Schiano and Koetter, blowout losses were marked for at least two to three games on the schedule.
This team is competitive with Winston at the helm. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Could it be better with a better QB? Duh! What kind of question is that? Can be said about every team in the league. Better QB play = better chance of winning, but the old adage of DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS still rings true.

Our fan base is pathetic. How quickly they forget the days of losing because our offense couldn’t score 20 points a game.
I’ll be the first to admit Jameis is not as good as I expected him to be. He has not progressed as fast as I’d thought he would. But the cold hard truth is Jameis is still the best offensive QB we’ve had. I’ll take losing 34 – 31 in a shootout over losing 28 to 13. Nothing was worse than the Glennon days 215 yards 1 td and Zero entertainment. Boring ass football. We have never had a QB capable of lighting up the scoreboard.
The issue with this team are more than the turnovers. Take away the blind hatred of the person and look at the stats. Our pass defense is absolutely putrid in almost every stat and some how we are in almost every game. The mindless turnovers are maddening but inorder to put up 30 points to stay in a game you have to take chances.
In a game being down by 2 scores in 4th Quarter. I’ll take a 3rd and 15 interception going for the firstdown then throwing a 5 yard checkdown and punting to the other team where you have stopped them all day.

I’m not a JW “hater” nor am I a “nuthugger”. What I needed to see was improvement…especially in his decision making.
I clearly have seen improvement. I’m not yet sure I’ve seen enough…but I certainly am open minded. I just want to see the rest of the season and especially Sunday!
Sunday it’s all on the line for us…let’s see how JW holds up under that kind of pressure. Let’s see how the entire team holds up?
Can the OL hold up and give JW time against a ferocious Saint’s rush. Can our DB’s hold up against a HOF QB and Thomas?

To me Jamies is another Bret Favre. The only difference is Farvre had a good defense and running game that also helped him. Jamies don’t so if every body is going to look pass Bret Favre turnovers than you have to look pass Jamies turnovers cause both of them did one thing good they scored points. And another thing is different one is black and the other is white and that’s not race card that’s facts. Me personally I don’t care about the race part because you can’t be afraid of throwing the ball. I remember when we couldn’t score at all so keep Jamies and build the defense and we will win again.
