“No Way In Hell”
November 10th, 2019One could argue the Bucs pulled a win out of their arse today.
When rookie corner Jamel Dean picked off Big Red quarterback Kyler Murray late in the fourth quarter, it took victory from the jaws of defeat.
The Cardinals were about to go up at least 30-23 with less than four minutes remaining. A touchdown pretty much would have put the game out of reach. The Cardinals had the ball at the Bucs-15.
On second-and-10, Murray was flushed and thought he was throwing the ball away to the right side when, to hear Murray talk about the play, rookie Jamel Dean came from nowhere to pick the ball off.
Why was the play so shocking? Few quarterbacks take care of the ball quite like Murray. Dean’s pick broke a streak of 211 passes by Murray where he had not thrown an interception.
“Honestly when I threw it, there was no way in hell I thought he was going to pick that ball off,” Murray said of Dean’s play.
The interception set up the winning touchdown drive, engineered by America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, with Peyton Barber capping a 92-yard drive with a one-yard run for a 30-27 Bucs lead with 1:47 left.

Buccaneers have now dropped to #9 in the 2020 NFL DRAFT order. This game was a total failure to improve our spot and move in front of Denver. This a complete disaster, Cincinnati at least knows how to get a new QB. Horrible that we will finish with our usual 5-6 wins and be stuck at the 13th or 14th pick for “Trash” Licht my balls to select Johnny Cornerback from Eastern south MAC University
I hate you Glazers

I think this Rookie Murray is the real deal. I think he got his 1st interception today? As Jameis always says…AMAZING. I mean this kid is a runt..Can barely see over the line of scrimmage. Yet his passes are pinpoint accurate and he’s deceptively quick. Arizona has their QB of the future while WE..are still deciding. Enjoy the win fellow Buc fans. The football Gods were kind to us today.

ok so thats what happens when a player has decent speed.
Murray got away with intentional grounding multiple times too.

#3 is up & down… Great 90+ yard drive at end of game…Sometimes gun slingers get shot…
November 10th, 2019 at 6:19 pm
Jamel Dean is one fast mofo. He has legit 4.2-4.3 speed. I’m hopeful for his future!
On another note, both of our best corners are Auburn products…

Wins have been hard to come by this year so this is a welcome change. Difference between this game and a few of the other close ones this year is today, the team had a few breaks go their way in critical situations. I must admit when the Cards converted on the fake punt, I thought the game was over. In the end, they found a way to win.
November 10th, 2019 at 6:29 pm
Murray had somebody in his face on that play. I’m sure that was a factor. That’s what a passrush will do for you. Ton of credit to Dean to make that huge play.
And then on the final series our passrush cranked it up another notch. They really got after it and kinda gave the Cardinals no chance to do anything. All around our defense stepped up when they had to…..and our offense made sure it counted.
Awesome Win.
GO BUCS!
November 10th, 2019 at 6:39 pm
They won simple as that and pulled out a close win. We have been killing the team for losing close games and saying they dont know how to win but csnt get the credit for pulling out a close one against a team despite what you think of them had a better record than us so was a better team.

Only 3 outcomes in a game lose, tie or win we WON.

Dean from Bum to Hero!

BOTH sides of th football made their share of screw-ups today, BUT … BOTH came through in the end. Good teams do that CONSISTENTLY. Maybe we’re closer than some think.

Waaa. Can you tell me specifically what that draft pick means.
ONE PLAYER. It means a higher pick in the following rounds which becomes meaningless after the second…ALL draft picks are a crap shoot.
Check out the odds on the success rate of draft picks by round.
A HOF GM Bobby Beathard made three super bowls winning two with different teams. He ALWAYS took any decent trade down for more picks because the odds were so long..especially after the first round..that he felt more picks evened those odds out.
People like you whined incessantly when JW and Godwin beat the Saints dropping us to 7th and costing us Quinton Nelson.
No doubt Nelson is a stud…we missed him but got Vita Vea who has made our run defense one of the tops in the league…oh and btw we also added two more picks which form some of the kiddie corps.
So what did that do to our team…did we need an OG more than a STUD DL to anchor our middle for the next ten years. Nelson and Vea have very similar impacts in that one will anchor an OL and the other a DL…and btw we also added two young DB’s.
So which did we need most…middle of the OL…or middle of the DL along with future help for our woeful defensive backfield?
I AM NOT A LOSER. I HAVE NEVER THROWN A CONTEST. This is just more Buc nonsense. Seriously do you think if Brady finally hangs it up and the Pats struggle at first that Bill Belicheat would write off a significant portion of his season?
Again…losing to win is like effing for virginity.

I think the game at Seattle was a wake up call for dean. I think he will be a great corner with more time. As for the draft position. I think its laughable for those to think they arent planning to keep Winston next year. Ba already said he doesnt want to be around a rookie QB.
November 10th, 2019 at 9:10 pm
Saw it in person in a cool humidity free air this little Murray kid is IMPRESSIVE ! Maybe my eyes are so starving for the quick pocket movement ,the insane breakaway speed and the LAZER of an arm is PROOF POSITIVE that a QB whos currently in college could produce for this Bucs team NEXT YEAR..Still want a vet proven QB in addition …You WOULD NOT want a QB skills competition Murray vs # 3 ….
accuracy
speed
explosiveness…..#3 wouldn’t stand a chance…
November 10th, 2019 at 9:20 pm
Murray is a good QB I found out today having never seen him play before because who watches Oklahoma football.
November 10th, 2019 at 9:51 pm
Ozzie was probably saying the same thing last year about Baker Mayfield.
November 10th, 2019 at 10:43 pm
@StPeteguy
The Bucs need a franchise QB to lead the team to a Super Bowl again one day before I die.
Just so you know, Jameis Winston is an average QB with a SERIOUS turnover problem. He has a long wind up, freezes up in the pocket, stares down receivers, overthrows line drive deliveries, makes poor decisions all the time, plays so inconsistent that you never can know what to expect, sucks at making deep ball throws, has no touch, and overall is a dumbass. Winston has skills and he plays with heart ❤️ and I rooted for this guy for 4 and a half years.
Sad as it is to admit, he is NOT a better choice than a top QB coming out of the draft next year. We need to draft a QB with a top selection and allow Winston to come back on a 1 yr. deal. The rookie QB can sit and watch learning the offense and the Bucs will have options. We cannot keep going into ur 6 with nothing but “PLAN WINSTON”
TIME IS UP BRO.

Yea people be careful thinking murray is the next steve young… guy doesnt turn the ball over but he also doesnt throw touchdowns either lol. You see where that got mariota
November 11th, 2019 at 2:37 am
Stop crying about a top 5 draft pick. The safer picks are middle to lower in the round because the top 5 have a very high risk/reward ratio. It’s better to get a solid contributor than hang your hopes on a college wonder who fizzles out in the NFL.
Sh:t happens for a reason, and there are a lot of games left for other teams worse than the Bucs to start winning meaningless games at the stretch.
It’s more important for this team (2nd youngest) to get some experience winning games and building their confidence.

I get your argument about wanting to move on from JW. I’m on the verge of agreeing with you about JW…I certainly do not disagree with you about JW.
But needing a top draft pick to get a franchise QB is simply a myth. Just off the top of my head…who is playing the best at that position right now? Russell Wilson…3rd round pick…who is the GOAT at the position Brady 6th rounder.
But what worries me worse are the MANY first round picks who were busts or at minimum semi busts…what do we call Matt Leinart…Jameis Winston…Marcus Mariota…the list is long…

Contrast that to what we really need…break a losing culture.
I simply do not see how losing ON PURPOSE breaks a losing culture. In fact it seems to me to epitomize a losing culture.

No Murray has 5 ints in the year an Bucs don’t need a New QB people are ignorant I guess they would like to go back to the days of….Fix Secondary an Oline
November 11th, 2019 at 7:17 am
Congrats to Winston
24-39
And his 93rd and 94th turnovers.
But a win is a win.
November 11th, 2019 at 7:32 am
I wonder what the odds in Vegas are for Winston to break the 100 turnover mark this season. Even?

Elbahito your a moron a true bucs fan wants them to win all the time
