The good folks at Buccaneers.com have shared their compilation of JPP wearing a hidden microphone during the gut-punch overtime loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. It’s all in the YouTube video below:
Aside from the fun of it all, JPP talks to Bucs linebacker Kevin Minter at the end of the video and lets him know “the training wheels off; I ain’t comin’ out no more.”
That appears to be a reference to JPP playing 96 percent of the snaps against Seattle, which is the kind of load JPP is used to carrying.
Joe’s intrigued by that thought from JPP because the Bucs are out of the playoff chase and JPP is a free agent after the season. How long will JPP be allowed to play nearly every snap? Will he be re-signed soon? If not, will those snaps go to a player like rookie Anthony Nelson who could use them to develop?

You can see and tell from this video. JPP loves the game of football. Its not even a challenge for him. Its like, Bring it on Baby I’m ready! We need perhaps 10 more like him.

Ok, resign him, but put him in bubble wrap in the off season to keep him from himself. If you break your neck because your luxury car is hydroplaning in the middle of the night in a driving thunderstorm and blow half your hand off with fireworks, you need bubble wrap.

The Bucs screwed this up. He was signed thru 2020 for only 12.5. A great price for a pass rusher like JPP, but our GM restructured him. Thumbs down on all whow wanted this guy cut.

We better resign this cat. He’s an animal! I respect the hell out of this guy. I need to listen to Joes audio from the Tenn locker room. It’s not that JPP calls ppl out that need it, it’s that he’s so damn focused on whipping ass. It is a beautiful thing to see.

I certainly am for getting a better look at some younger players but not at JPP’s expense. He has EARNED his playing time.
This guy has busted butt and now we’re going to say take a seat we need to check out Nelson and the others.
I realize it’s a business but can’t there be at least a scintilla of loyalty? We OWE it to JPP to let him play as long as he is not hurting the team. Clearly that’s not the issue. And so play him!
As Robert De Niro said in “The Intern”. “You can never go wrong doing the right thing.”
Playing JPP is the right thing.

I don’t think there is enough bubble wrap in the world to contain this man. The better option would be to cryo freeze him till like week 1 of preseason. Then you let him thaw out slowly till Week 1 and boom, he’s good to go. He clearly has proven he doesn’t really need to practice or learn a new system to be effective after the way he’s came back.
