Linebackers Challenge For Jameis
October 24th, 2019Astute NFL followers know the Bucs are about to butt heads with a truly stingy defense that is allowing just 16 points per game, and it was a top-10 defense last season.
The Titans haven’t allowed more than 20 points in a game through their 3-4 record this season.
Logan Ryan and Malcom Butler are a top-tier cornerbacks duo, so good that 2017 first-round pick cornerback Adoreé Jackson plays nickel corner.
But if ask Bruce Arians about the Titans defense, and he’ll say he’s most impressed by what he sees up front.
“Their front-7 is outstanding,” Arians told Buccaneers Radio. “They do a great job. Mike Vrabel’s coming from that New England system; they have a great nickel, third-down package. They’ve got like five or six linebackers in there. So you really have to be on your Ps and Qs on which one’s coming and which one’s not. And they have a great blitz system. It’s going to be really challenging for us. These extra days [of preparation] will really help.”
This is a very intriguing matchup for the Bucs, especially coming off a bye week with so much time to focus on Tennessee and this must-win game. This is where Arians and army of coaches should stand out with their experience.
Still, Arians said “you don’t change much week to week,” when asked about getting ready for the Tennessee defense. He said, sure, you look for matchups to exploit, but overall you “execute what you do” and “it all starts with the protection.”

BA says: you “execute what you do”
And what we do is lose.

Arians and this staff is a joke
How about they adjust to help mask the teams weaknesses?

Jameis is the challenge for Jameis.
2 pick 6 vs 49ers- lose
114 yards passing, interception, 2 sacks – 2nd half vs Giants- lose
175 turnovers and sacks vs Panthers – lose

@alanbucsfan yeah because outting 33 points on the board and losing on a chip shot fg against the giants is jameis’ fault.

Cgmaster-
My point is he’s inconsistent- not a winner

Most of JayMiss’ 10 INT this season were thrown at LBs, so this is promising.
October 24th, 2019 at 3:05 pm
What we do SHOULD be executed!!!

Oline is outmatched in this one (like most). No Cappa, no Dotson (never thought I’d type that) means bad pass pro and no running lanes. If there isn’t any changes in the secondary, it’s over 300 and 4 tds for Tannehill. Bucs fall to 2-5, trade everyone and restart the whole team, but fir Gump 1st.

So we have a very good defense with a bad offense vs. a very bad defense and an inconsistent offense (sometimes great / sometimes awful)
Hmmmm….
Sadly my money is on the team with the good defense.

Crazy to say this, I admit… but it’s the other side of the ball that’s going to win the game for us this time. We have to blitz early and often, get Tannehill rattled and running around and he’ll turn the ball over with short fields for us. He was run out of Miami for doing that all the time. There’s a book on how to play against this guy that works. And he is a crappy passer as far as accuracy goes even when he’s well protected. Make him use his feet and he throws better but he also takes more chances. Sounds kind of familiar doesn’t it?
Our offensive line issues means that bad Jameis is going to show up again on Sunday. Everybody prepare themselves for a multi turn over game from the QB. Our only saving grace will be if we can pressure the hell out of Tannehill and if we can somehow miraculously run the ball with some consistency.

Everything is a challenge for Jay Miss.

This website was much more enjoyable when true Bucs fans agreed (sometimes intellectually) to disagree. Now I read well thought out comments like, “He Sucks– Fire Everybody. Unfortunately, ineffable dullards

Posted when I wasn’t finished. Never mind! Most wouldn’t (or care to) comprehend my thoughts … Too bad, there was a time when I enjoyed this site as it elicited takes from those much more in the know than me.

Boy, that last paragraph was really disappointing.

Look, all we want to know is if they are Tennessee ready or not?
