Comment hits a nerve.
Is Luther Campbell about ready to join the Bucs? He runs a pee wee football league down in South Florida. And the Buccaneers Radio Network sounded as if the Bucs were a member of that league.
Now Joe isn’t trying to throw rocks here but this is a personal pet peeve. Ronnie “Night Train” Lane is one of the nicest guys you guys will ever meet. This is not to hammer Lane whatsoever. He’s a good dude.
In the immediate aftermath of today’s international embarrassment, Lane took to the microphone as he hosted the postgame show on the Buccaneers Radio Network and while he didn’t sugarcoat the fact the Bucs played like sh!t in London, he dropped a phrase that drives Joe crazy.
“The Bucs played hard.”
Bull — f’ing — s(p)it!!!
This isn’t pee wee football! This is the NFL. The point is to win the GD game, not stroke yourself (not in a Kellen Winslow way) that you broke a sweat. It is about results. Period. And the results this organization has served up to fans in the post-Chucky era are unadulterated trash.
But the Bucs played hard. Make sure you know that while your head is buried in your beer. Please make sure you know that when you are lying awake at night. Please know that the next time you scribble your signature on yet another check for season tickets.
Please know this the next time you are mocked for eating, sleeping and breathing Bucs by fans of other teams — fans that know what a playoff game is like at some point in the past 11 years.
Do not forget the Bucs played hard.
Hope the team enjoys their ice cream cones on the plane back to Tampa. And when they get back to One Buc Palace they can pick up their participation trophies. Varsity letters will be available when the team gets back to practice next week.
This team needs this week off. No, not because they are winning games. But they played hard!

Hey is difficult to keep playing hard when your quarterback repeatedly craps himself all over the field, again. They know the smell of it better than anyone, and yet they continued to play hard. It’s seriously difficult to stay motivated when you know the outcome is going to be awful.

I think there are a lot of QB’s out there that can be successful if you have a solid front. Ronnie Lane is a long time paid mouthpiece for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Radio Network. Mr. Lane reads the talking points for the Buccaneers Media Relations Department. If the Buccaneers Radio Network had someone, like The Great Ira Kaufman instead of Ronnie Lane, then Ira would tell it like it is, simple as that. But then the man who runs the Buccaneers Radio Network, Mr. Jeff Ryan would then Fire Ira on the spot for telling the TRUTH ! Just like The Fox News Network firing Shep Smith for telling the truth instead of reading the talking points ! I love the Buccaneers with all of my hart, but like Joe said, The teams performance in London this morning was one to puke in the toilet ❗️
