Suh, Godwin On Injury Report

October 9th, 2019

Injury report.

One name scares Joe. The other name doesn’t seem like an emergency.

Both Ndamukong Suh and Chris Godwin were on the first injury report of the week as the Bucs will travel to London tomorrow afternoon as they prepare for the showdown with the Stinking Panthers in London.

Suh did not practice with a knee issue. Godwin, who before the Rams game had a hip injury, participated in a limited manner today. He was listed with a hip that Joe assumes is the same one.

Both Gerald McCoy and Christian McCaffrey missed practice today for the Stinking Panthers. GMC is dealing with a bum knee and McCaffrey has a sore back.

Of course, starting quarterback Cam Newton has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

Monday headlines in London will be something like:
‘Panther mauls Buccaneer in a field while thousands watch in horror!’

  3. ClodHopper Says:

CMCs back issue is caused from carrying an entire team

Clodhopper. or flipping into the end zone landing on his back might have made it sore to but I like your comment better lol

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Time to put CMC out for a few games…..we got Barkley & Newton…..don’t want serious injuries….just enough so they can’t play…..and, yes….I know that is awful.

  6. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

Hey Joe…which one is which? Which one scares you?

  7. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

It’s got to be Godwin that worries you. Without Godwin you can just double Mike and who else is gonna win one on ones? We’d actually have to use our TEs!!

Obvi Suh is scarier. Need him to shut down run as in Panthers game 1. Godwin is in same boat as same time last week, and we all know how he was able to perform. Losing Suh would be devastating this week.

  9. Petty Officer Buc Says:

Don’t worry, relax guys. Scotty Miller Is the next man up followed by Bobo Wilson.

  10. DB55 Says:

Have either ever missed a game? I know Suh hasn’t.

Best post of the week by far

On a side note I hear that since we’ve cut Bucannon we’ve set outselves up to get a 3rd rounf comp pick for letting Kwon walk, think I heard we might be able to get another if we cut Perriman and/or Pinion within the next 3 weeks as well.

  13. Rod Munch Says:

They have to work OJ back into the game plan. I know Arians didn’t use his TE’s much in Arizona, but that’s because they were garbage, OJ had an awful week one, but is still one of the top TE’s in the league. Use the guy – or line him up as the #3 WR and put Brate at TE. OJ has a faster 40 than Evans, and is giant, they could literally put him outside and just throw jump balls, but they should do something since Perriman is clearly a bust (and everyone should have saw it coming) and the other smaller guys just aren’t good outside guys.

Should have kept Spencer Schnell. The most important play is the Winston improv. Biggest play of the game was the 3rd and 2 at midfield. Winston rolls right. Two receivers run the boundary, stop and stand there. Winston looks, looks, finally tries to throw a toe tapper to Bobo, incomplete. Punt, 91 yard drive, game over. Last year Hump would have improvised himself free. Schnell showed he was a magician at the improv during the pre-season. He gets cut, not even offered a practice squad spot. Then we ad a wr to the practice squad.

    WTF

  15. unbelievable Says:

WRs not running themselves open is an indictment on the coaching staff.

But I totally agree, Hump would have found a space. Gotta play through the whistle instead of just quitting.

And for god’s sakes can we throw some passes to our fkn tight ends?

  16. Jmarkbuc Says:

Or a simple swing pass in the flat..run Rojo run.

  17. orlbucfan Says:

Rest Ungodly. ME13 is 100%. Why’s BA not throwing more to Brate and OJ? Aucoin can catch, and Tanner was scary in preseason. Use them. All the RBs can catch if the play is called right for them. OL is slowly jelling. This the the SIXTH game this team has played with a brand new HC crew. The two sides jell and wins will increase. HATE the overseas games!!!!!!!

  18. Buchead588 Says:

They both will play we have a bye week after this game an the. We get a JPP back to I’m pumped get Shaq some help rushing QB let’s kick these cats asses 3-3 into Bye week let’s go Bucs

  19. BA FAN Says:

This team needs to be fired up to go 3-3 by whipping the Panthers once again! I expect the Panthers to try a game plan against us by trying to duplicate how the Saints beat us by doubling Evans again. BA comes up with new plays for every opponent that they won’t expect. Hopefully his new plays will utilize a two TE approach that the Panthers isn’t ready for.

Yep, you’re right. Spencer Schnell should be starting for the Bucs. Crazy that 31 other teams haven’t snapped him up or at least offered him a practice squad offer. I’m totally beside myself. The guy hasn’t been signed when he should be getting ready to pose for his bust in Canton next to all-time greats like Paris Warren and Frank Murphy.
