Bruce Arians explains Devin White decision
It looked as if this had the makings of a Hollywood epic this morning.
The local Louisiana stud went to college at LSU and returned to his home state today with a green light to play after suffering a minor knee injury earlier in the year. But Bucco Bruce Arians slammed the brakes on that return, even after placing Bucs savior linebacker Devin White on the active roster.
Arians decided he wasn’t going to play. The storybook return got shelved.
White, “just wasn’t ready to play,” Arians said.
Arians added that he didn’t want to risk getting White re-injured.
So this begs the question: If Arians thought it was too soon to play White, then why was he on the active roster?
Joe won’t try to say White, or whoever would have been active if White wasn’t, would have made the difference in the Bucs’ loss today to the Saints. But it sure didn’t help to play short-handed.
That’s just weird to Joe to place a guy on the active roster and then determine he’s not good to go.

Ummm we waived Demone Harris (duh) to make room on the roster. Probably needed the LB depth. He probably could have played if needed because of injury.

They say ‘you pick your battles’.. maybe in his head the Saints were going to win so spare White to play him later when the Bucs have a better chance at a win.

So far White is a wasted draft pick. Just thnk, we could have traded the 5th overall pick for at least 2 more high picks and then used those picks for two more horrible cornerbacks. Licht should have been fired the same day as Mike Smith. We might as well put the creamsicles back on at this point.

Hey better yet instead of answering them questions why don’t you get your ass to RayJay when this team returns home on Nov 10th and help our crowd get as loud as New Orleans was today? Get a prime seat on the 50 or get to that South Endzone where I will be doing everything in my power to get the home crowd at optimum decible!!! The team needs ya bro.

Pressure mounts on the top 5 pick while lbs drafted after him are making way more of an impact. I know…I know….patience. Maybe in another dozen years the Bucs will return to the playoffs. Jason Licht will thankfully be close to mandatory retirement age by then.

Wrong. I’ve been calling for Jason lights job since he drafted VH3 POS 🗑 in the first round as a midget slow IDIOT cornerback..
Then it just got worse…… Do you realize that the buccaneers draft players that SUCK and allow players that are AWESOME to pass buy.
Jason LICHT MY BALLS has single handedly made some of the worst decisions EVER that will affect this franchise for years and years and years.
Going on year 5 with Winston and NEVER got another QB in the draft as a “JUST IN CASE” Winston never figures it out. My man the guy let blue chip D-Lineman on the board go by so that he could draft Devin White! I would vote even for him to have drafted Daniel Jones and told Winston “Hey bro, go out and prove it, and we will trade Daniel Jones.”
Maybe we can just play with 11 defensive backs who ALL SUCK and that can be a NEW type of defense.

You guys are the queens of knee jerks. Fire licht? Lol. The team had talent last week when it hung 55 on LA. In case you numb nuggets are a little slow let me tell ya once again. Games come down to coaching. Bucs were outcoached again. They’re on a every other week schedule. I’m hoping Bruce, Todd and Byron get this figured out before its too late. Cmon guys give us playoff hope through October at least!

Good luck with your Facebook page. I may not agree with it but I do appreciate the fact it helps keep pressure on the orginazation.
Anyways……..Can you make it to the game in Nov? Hope so. The team really does need you and the advantages that should come with home field…….Our last home game was a very pathetic effort on the part of the fans………..Personally I had little ability to get to RayJay for that game. Maybe I could of done more and figured a way to get there but that’s in the past so the next best thing for me is to positively be there to give this team the support they deserve next time……..Hope you can join.

Right now Kevin Minter is playing the best football of his life. Let him play until White does it better. White does have a bigger upside, but Minter is the brain of our current defensive front seven. Keep him in.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, I really do.
However no one is going to come to a stadium and spend a boatload of money to watch this under performing, under talented team.
The problems start all the way at the top,,and until that is corrected this team will remain as it is, out played, out coached and out of any meaningful games before the mid point of the season.
Nobody hates that more than me…and the truth hurts. We made yet another backup QB look all pro today, with another one on tap next week. This team and organization doesn’ know how to be a winner. Cheerleading isn’t gonna fix it either.

It’s my fervent hope that by the time, Bucs get back home, they will be on the same page with Arians, Leftwich, and Bowles. They will have totally adjusted to their new coaches. it’s miraculous that they are 2-3 with the coaching BS the team has been thru!

The problem is we never take football IQ in favor. Devin Bush and Devin white both had the same athletic measurables but anyone who watched Michigan football and LSU football could say Bush was the better LB. to be fair I wanted another pass rusher in josh Allen. You can find MLBs and David still has time left on his deal and still is balling so I didn’t get the pick.
Yeah sure I know it’s still early in his career but taking white at 5 better secure you a HOF type MLB. He’s no where close to what keuchle is.

We The Buc’s have never won well, as a team, coaches, fans, players get all hyped thinks we are the best thing since sliced bread whenever we win a game. Then we come out and get spanked in the next game, regroup seeing we are not all that and win, lose , win lose… The game has passed by the coaches, most of the successful team run a short pass scheme, with quick hitters and let the skill players make plays, then when the Defense tightens up you throw one deep. we try to throw deep (15 yd or more) every play so our QB holds the ball all day and gets killed if the first option isn’t there. Need a young innovated coach.
