So, About That Long Ball

September 25th, 2019

Winging it deep.

Joe couldn’t wait to Twitter it out on Sunday afternoon.

The haters of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, love to scream and holler that he cannot connect on deep balls. Joe often scoffs at this, but hey, at least it is slightly more creative than constantly bellyaching about the offensive line… just because.

So when Jameis hit Mike Evans on a deep pass down the middle early in the game against the Giants, Joe immediately went rattled cages on Twitter. It doesn’t take much when Jameis is the subject.

The good folks at the NFL who have access to NextGen stats determined Jameis’ big-time throw to Evans was the second-biggest throw in the NFL in Week 3, second only to Russell Wilson of Seattle.

Per NextGen Stats, Winston’s toss to Evans traveled 41 yards.

Guess now the Jameis haters — you know who you are — will have to dig for something else to rag on Jameis about.

    I’m a Jameis supporter….but Joe…..1 out of 43 isn’t really that good….

  2. 99.97.92.55.47.40.28.20.7 Says:

    Lol

  3. gotbbucs Says:

Ignore the fact that he cant hit them in stride. Nobody is saying he cant throw a football 40 yards.
    Nice try though.

  4. teacherman777 Says:

We need more QB sneaks on 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 and goaline situations!

We gave up a safety in week 1. Run a QB sneak next time!

We never ran QB sneaks with J-Fro, who was 6-6!

We never run sneaks with Jameis. Hes 250 pounds!!

    More sneaks!

  5. Youngbucs Says:

Joe just stop it should’ve been bigger
He cannot hit them in stride Evans should’ve had 5 tds we win

  6. Youngbucs Says:

This is getting old Winston is holding the offense back wasting the weapons

  7. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

So Winston can throw a ball 41 yards. So what?? That stat is a big zero, and you KNOW it Joe.

  8. Youngbucs Says:

Last year u saw the beard hitting them in stride that’s
why it was four or five tds a gm instead of a 40 yard gain lol get a clue

  9. Bird Says:

There is good Jameis and bad Jameis

Unfortunately there is good (logical ) joe and bad (crazy obsessed moving my needle ) joe

    Guess who wrote this ?

  10. Bob in Valrico Says:

    Yes,Joe
There is progress from the days Jameis told Evans : I don’t throw the deep ball good ,so you gotta catch it. I believe can hit the 35-40 yard pass with decent consistency. ITS the over 40 yard passes he has not shown any consistency.

  11. Andrew Says:

This is less about jameis and more about the scouting department. You know jameis’ limitations. Never gave him a run game, draft a receiving TE over Dalvin, ignore the defense for several years. That’s not how you build a team for jameis to succeed.

  12. Loyaltotheend Section 312 Says:

So after over 50 games played we can count on maybe one hand the amount of deep completions he’s had so now he accurate throwing deep?

Come on Clueless Joe, your better than that! I think…

  13. Youngbucs Says:

    No yac Winston lol

  14. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says: Says:

    I’ll take the bait….blind squirrel…broken clock…
I did notice something on his deep balls, he was throwing the ball just to the right or left of the speeding WR and DB allowing the WR to have a better angle catching the ball…in the past his deep balls were thrown directly at the streaking WR…something any back yard QB knows how to do…I guess Jamyth never played WR in pick up games and doesn’t relate to how WR’s like a ball placed

  15. Bruce Blahak Says:

Bullspit, it was a TD that he threw short. game would have been over. WinSTUNNED fail again…

  16. Pittsshore Says:

Against the Giants Joe. The worst ranked passing D in the NFL and the 31st overall. Look what he did against a good D, the 49ers, ranked 2nd. That would be a QBR of 7 and two pick sixes. The Rams are the third ranked D and I am willing to bet JW will be closer to the QB against the niners and not the QB we saw against the Giants. All you need to do is look at what Mitch Tribisklu did to our D last year.

  17. Pittsshore Says:

Tua throws a great long ball but it looks like Miami will get him.

  18. alaskabuc Says:

Evans had to stop, turn around, and wait for the ball and receiver. If Jameis hits him in stride it’s touch down and game over.

  19. Go Bucs 72 Says:

Once again, anyone blaming Jameis for the Giants loss is a moron.

  20. 813bucboi Says:

    JW played great!!!!!!

i have noticed he has more air under his deep balls….

    it’ll only get better….

    coaching makes a huge difference….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  21. TampaBay AllDay Says:

    I like Jameis.

  22. Bruce Blahak Says:

@Go Bucs 72…the morons are the ones backing this fraud…he is the blame for EVERYTHING, because this team invested in him to be something and all it has been is: controversy, fumbles, interceptions and playing QB like a deer in the headlights…

  23. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Oh..I forgot to include in my post that is still awaiting moderation,
The Bucs will upset the Rams on Sunday !

  24. Youngbucs Says:

Imagine Evans #s with a real qb

  25. TampaBay55 Says:

    JOE,

Now I KNOW you did not just suggest that our OL was good. The tackles have been awful all season. That has been painfully, painfully obvious.

  26. JameisNOT Says:

@pittsshore: your analysis, as usual, is spot on.

  27. ChanEpic Says:

    Bruce Blahak Says:
he is the blame for EVERYTHING.

Great way to let us know that we should never take anything you say from here on out seriously. This post is pretty stupid, in a sea of stupid posts with the same idiotic sentiment. Good job, you suck the most.

  28. Joe Says:

    I’ll take the bait…

Of course! You are obsessed by Jameis (and not in a good way).

No one wants to run Jameis out of town worse than you. And don’t try a con. You’d rather have Zach Mettenberger or Nathan Peterman starting for the Bucs.

  29. Bird Says:

    ^^^^

    So creepy

  30. Bruce Blahak Says:

@ChanEpic….pretty simple and straight forward, can’t handle the truth?…if you pick a QB #1 and he stinks, it drags the whole team down…Bucs had 2 sh*tty “leaders”…one is in Carolina, the other will be a backup QB somewhere else soon…

  31. Dapostman Says:

So Winston throws for 380 yards and 3 Td’s with 1 int a 3 to 1 ratio that all the WDS simpletons demand and he’s the reason the Bucs lost because a 40 yard pass was off by a yard?

This fan base is a total clown show. They fail to mention that their defense gave up 4 TD drives of 75+ yards to a rookie starting his first NFL game without his best player. They fail to mention that their PK missed a FG from 34 yards a kick that has a 94% success rate.

I must say the entertainment value of reading the anti Winston comments is so much more entertaining than watching the games.

The real question is how many of these clowns can they fit into the pirate ship?

  32. JimBuc2 Says:

Get it right, Zippy. Receivers should be hit in stride. Had Jameis done that the game is won. Neither does he understand ‘throwing open’ his sort, or intermediate range targets. These are concepts I would expect a 5 year vet to have learned like 4 years prior. What gives with this guy? Jameis makes rookie-like mistakes:
    1. Locks eyes on his intended target.
    2. Holds onto ball too long.
    3. Throws where a receiver is, not where he will be. See above.
    4. Does not seem to absorb coaching. Dude marches to the beat of his own drum.

Don’t get me wrong; I want him to succeed as much as the Joes. But, I just don’t see enough progress to believe that 2020 will be magically different, or worth the king’s ransom his agent will surely demand. Time to draft his replacement.

  33. thisisouryear!! Says:

This is a ridiculous debate. Jameis had a very good game Sunday. He put the balls where they were catchable. He doesn’t hit receivers in stride on the long ball, but he put us in a position to win. We lost because the secondary couldn’t stop anyone and Leftwich needs to be more aggressive (not to mention our kicker).

  34. ATrain Says:

    Really

Evans had to Stop to catch the ball

i.e. no YAC for our WR

    Good QB yes

    Great NO

Just like GMC Average is accepted has Greatness here

Watch Mahomes throw then tell me about Winston

Imagine a Mahomes with our WR and TE 40+ points a game

  35. ATrain Says:

We lost because our DEFENSE was on the field the whole second half

Can’t go 3 and out again and again and scream why didn’t the Defense stop them

Winston played good first half CRAP second half

  36. VegasBuc Says:

Jameis is playing smarter this year with good coaching. Slowly transitioning into a better QB. Will take a little time in which these impatient Bucs fans dont have. He’ll start winning more games in the future than he lost us in the past. He won’t have to try and carry the whole team on his back playing catch up from 24 points down every weak. GO BUCS!

  37. D-Rome Says:

    C’mon, man. –Joe

Jameis can hit the deep ball every once in a while in the same way that I can kick a 34 yard FG every once in a while.

The fact remains that Jameis Winston is the least accurate deep ball passer in the NFL.

  38. zzbuc Says:

Joe….Why are you keep on saying JW haters????
I don’t hate him at all, and on the same time I don’t think he will be a long term answer for the Bucs……He played a very good game on sunday, and a disgusting game against the 49’s…..I also think that is a very inconsistent QB, that can maje extraordinary plays and very bad ones, and I dont like those type of QB’s…..But I don’t hate him by any means……Since when make some critics means hate? Come on!!!

  39. JimmyJack Says:

Very simple. That long pass is in the biggest clutch moment of the game. The pressure was on and Winston delivered.

Winston led this team to victory on that drive with heroic passes. Anybody that thinks otherwise is kidding themselfs.

Everything that happened after that point was out of the QBs hands.

Winston gave us everything you could reasonably want on that last drive. If you are not happy with his performance then you never will be and you are a total maroon.

  40. stpetebucsfan Says:

Guys…puhleeze. I root for the Bucs…I like JW…so I have at least two reasons to cheer him. But that doesn’t make me blind.

All of the defending posts I’ve read talk about the bomb to ME that should have closed the show if BA didn’t wimp out. Some have pointed out if the throw was better ME would have scored.
    Perhaps.

But there are some FACTS…The team took an 18 point lead into the locker!!! Facing a horrid team with a rookie QB!!! Did the defense blow big chunks in the second half collapse…absolutely.
But the offense…lead by JW and coached by BA and Leftwich…laid 3 whopping points on the board the second half.

Nobody who talks about that final pass to ME also mentions that JW had an inexplicable interception…as he frequently does..in the 2nd half. Shaq played so well he forced the fumble that “erased” JW”s huge mistake with no loss of points, just opportunity.

It was truly a team loss! BA was awful…JW should have just stayed in the locker room at the half…3 points in the second half just does not cut it for a franchise QB.

Did JW lose the game…nah his int was erased by Shaq…but did he really win it…he does have an excuse this time…his coach clearly took the ball out of his hands after than int.

Bottom line for me: I loved AFL football…I like bombs and passing…I loathe 10-7 football games(apologies to D.R.)..when we got BA “No risk it no biscuit” I was excited. BA coached the most cowardly game of the week…while other coaches like John Harbaugh went for it multiple times on 4th and short and scored TD’s because of it instead of FG’s.

BA has coached NOTHING like his reputation promised.
I hate to lose…but worse still I hate playing to not lose.

I’d rather lose trying to win…than lose cowardly as BA has done twice this year already and if it wasn’t for VHG’s miraculous tackle it could be three losses.

  41. Cgmaster27 Says:

I dont know why you even try joe, our usual clown show of complaints from the usual trolls will never change. They completely ignore our gashed defense, our our kicker who cant hit from 20 yards. Nope its all jameis fault. The iq of some fo you clowns is that of a rock.

  42. JimmyJack Says:

Zz your comment is fair and you are not a hater.

It’s pretty easy to spot a true hater. Above there are a few people commenting and not happy about his thows on his game winning drive on Sunday. Its obvisous there is nothing Winston can do that will ever be good enough for them. Those are your haters.

But don’t get too comfy knowing your a fair fan. There is another group of fans who will attack you if you voice your critism……whether you’re being fair or not. I call them the nugglers……I know this because they have stamped the hater lable on me even though I am actually one of his biggest supporters.

  43. BucsBandit Says:

Okay Joe, I’ll find something else to hate on him for…

    – He leads the league in turnovers during his entire career.

    – He holds the ball too long and takes drive-killing sacks.

    – He struggles with consistent accuracy on short and medium routes.

Go ahead and debunk those. We’ll wait.

  44. ChanEpic Says:

@Bruce Blahak -the truth doesn’t hurt, it sets you free. But you’re not providing truth, your providing a stupid take based on arm chair QB analysis. That said, I don’t absolve JW of everything, but saying he is to blame for everything wrong with this team isn’t just stupid on it’s face considering the state of this franchise, and absolves everyone else of their role in mediocrity(if that). So, my original point stands, your take is the dumbest take in an ocean of dumb Bucs fan takes.

  45. zzbuc Says:

I hear you Jimmy!!!Maybe you are right!!!
I keep on been critic with management, because I think that has been the main factor on the last decade, but I don’t hate Jason Licht, I think he should be out of the building, and also the glazer should rethink what they are doing….. Manchester United and the Bucs ( which is the one I care) are a total mess, both of them…..
Going back to the haters, don’t put everybody on the same bag…..

  46. BucsBandit Says:

    D-ROME WINS THE THREAD!

He posts a link to 100% factual proof that Winston not only lacks deep ball accuracy but RANKS LAST in the NFL.

  47. ChanEpic Says:

*it absolves everyone else of their role in mediocrity(if that). Gosh the joes need to spring for a modern commenting module so we can edit posts… 1999 wants their comment section back.

  48. Anonymous Says:

If he hit Evans in stride on the last throw he could have scored and we would have wine the game.

  49. chris L Says:

joe – why do you want to chastise the fans all the time? Joe doesn’t chastise fans.–Joe people have a right to rag on any player or coach on this team. that is what being a fan is. i want jameis to achieve and want him signed to a long term deal. i am more in the medium and not super high nor super low on him. many fans are on high ends of the spectrum. although why are you calling fans out for this. you rag on players and coaches all the time and it is usually the same ones (eg: nassib, bowles, anyone not named jameis). the whole team is to blame but why do you want to pick fights with fans. everyone wants the team to do well.

also i love his personality but think about this. there are way more reasons in my opinion why fans hate winston. his off the field behaviour and the allegations against him. do you really think that has nothing to do with it? i dont mean to argue but you need to understand other perspectives and how things come accross. why attack fans when you said yourself without fans there is no joe bucs fan or media?

  50. Buc1987 Says:

    Some of you have issues.

    Some of you have volumes…

  51. Joe Says:

joe – why do you want to chastise the fans all the time?

Don’t chastise fans at all. In fact, Joe believes he is the voice of the fan. It’s disgusting how fans have been shoveled and gouged for lousy football for over a decade (except two decent years).

But Joe is killed daily for “being too negative.” Yet the losses pile up year after rotten year. People whining at Joe for “negatively” is like a dude who inhales two packs a day for 20 years than b!tches at his doctor when he comes down with emphysema.

  52. Oregonbucsfan Says:

This is a ridiculous debate. Jameis had a very good game Sunday. He put the balls where they were catchable…Our Year
What is ridiculous are statements like the above. For instance:
    1. NFL football has two halves. Good QBs play both of them.
    2. Did you watch the 2nd half?
    3. Did you see Famous Jameis hit anybody squarely in the 2nd half?
    4. Have you ever seen a 10-15 yard EZ pass miss as much as Jameis’ INT?
    5. After seeing that INT who can blame the coaches for taking the ball away from him until that last underthrown ball to Evens?

Jameis is NOT a good NFL QB. Period.

  53. ChanEpic Says:

Chris L – OF COURSE there are reasons for JW hatred, off the field. Totally true, but please explain how that hatred can in good-faith translate to terrible on the field analysis by the JW haters? The allegations are in the past for good hopefully. And while I am not excusing them it IS STUPID to allow your off-field disgust to shade your on the field analysis and that happens 99.9% of the time with the same posters all of the time and it’s STUPID and boring. Do they have a right to be stupid and boring? Of course but we, including the Joe(s) also have the right to call them stupid and boring and haters because hatred is a part of their story. When you say something like: “Jameis stole Krabs and/or grabbed a crotch therefore he is the sole reason the Bucs are bad” you aren’t just being inaccurate, you’re allowing your emotion to get the best of your analysis. And that’s why their takes are stupid and they deserve to be in the stands with the other homers.

  54. JimmyJack Says:

Fans love getting attacked and they love striking back. It adds to the lure. Having something to lash out about gets a lot of the fans off. I’m certain some of them love it more then the game itself. That’s why there are thousands of comments in the game day threads during the game.

  55. D-Rome Says:

In fact, Joe believes he is the voice of the fan.

I believe that you are a voice for the fans. This site represents a significant portion of the fans. I know the Bucs read what you have to write. I’m certain they read the comments from time to time even if they don’t admit it.

  56. Buc1987 Says:

13 more games to go for Jameis Winston.

  57. Adam Lakers Carolla Says:

The Joe’s toss red meat to the armchair GMs and they take the bait every time. JW is the Buc’s QB until told otherwise. Support him or go find another team to poop on. And as always GO BUCS!

  58. stpetebucsfan Says:

Nothing like giving away a win to get the fans into some good debate.

For any who care…your posts will seem far more intelligent if you simply leave out “hater”, “fake news” and other absurd cop outs meant to end a conversation not continue it.

And exaggeration and hyperbole are not your friend although I realize it’s sports and people like bs.

In the NFL two people generally get more credit and more heat than deserved…the HC and the QB. I felt as if JW lost some games last year. I do not feel that this year. He did not single handedly lose that game Sunday…but 3 points in the 2nd half will get ANY QB in hot water whether it’s their fault or not.

  59. Bnice Says:

Adams Lakers spot on.. Was going to post something very similar.

  60. The Buc Realist Says:

    @Buc1987

Maybe, But only 2 more games and we all will be talking about which QB to draft in 2020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  61. JimmyJack Says:

Joe I love that you openly voice you opinions and and speak you mind as a fan. It’s why I come to this site. Sometimes I think your opinions are ridiculous and it gets me tilted and those are even fun to read. It’s entertaining.

But I do gotta say that I really don’t appreciate it when you refer to our team as a clown show and other insults. I do understand why you say it and you honestly you are probably right. It’s just a matter of pride. You may find it hard to believe but I am actually proud to be a fan of this team. Just don’t appreciate that lack of respect. I do think you can share that same opinion you have with resorting to insults.

I’m a die-hard fan and it saddens me that the sense of pride within this fanbase keeps getting worse and worse. I think the insults can be infectious and contagious.

I’m not saying the orginazation does not deserve the insults, because they do…….But I am saying us fans that still have pride do not deserve them. I know them insults are not directed at us but they still hurt just the same. Its just like if somebody insults your kin.

16-0 or 0-16…….You will always see me wearing my red without shame. Let’s try to keep it that way for all.

    END RANT

    GOOO BUCS!!!!!

  62. Joe Says:

    JimmyJack:

First, thanks for reading. Also, Joe understands where you are coming from. It is depressing. One easy thing for the Bucs to do to prevent the fanbase from growing sourer by the week is to win. No more complex than that.

  63. chris L Says:

Joe and Chan Epic – appreciate the response and i don’t think anyone is right the haters or the apologists. I think you got this but to be clear i am neither. i just want the team to do well. i believe every player needs to be held to the same standard and i never brought up the “negativity” aspect. i just want to win man. that is all.

the bucs shouldnt have a hold on my life and how i feel each day but they truly do because i want it so bad and love my team. that said, i think they can beat the rams sunday. the key is can they get over the mental aspect of sunday? matchup wise i think we will be ok.

  64. Bucsfanman Says:

stpetebucsfan- Don’t you dare! Don’t you dare try to bring levity to this conversation!

What would be the conversation today if Gay nails that FG? Are we even talking about long-ball accuracy? Or, are we talking about a big play that put us in position to win?
Would we have even imagined Buc teams of old being in position to win a game with a minute left?!
Jameis was good enough to help us win that game. You can kvetch about play-calling, defense, and missed opportunities all you want. With the game on the line, Jameis hit Mike for a 40+ pass to put us on the 9 yard line. The NINE! That kick wins the game. THE END!

  65. Buc1987 Says:

    @Realist….we’ll see Nostradamus.

Is that one of your predictions?

  66. ChanEpic Says:

chris L Says:i just want to win man. that is all.

    Well said and same here.

  67. stpetebucsfan Says:

    Bucsfanman

Levity is a good thing on this site. LOL

I totally agree if Gay had nailed that final try…or imagine BA had the cods to go for it 4-2 at the five with six minutes to go. Get that TD and as you suggest the debate becomes academic.

Bottom line though…an offense cannot simply put three points on the board for the entire second half.

So who gets the blame? Coaches…yep…QB…yep…JW had a good first half and a totally forgettable second half. He seems to be playing scared right now.

  68. stpetebucsfan Says:

    JJ

Your post humbles me. I feel your pain. It is tough to determine whether humor is even appropriate at this time. But it’s like we either start laughing at this s show or we cry in our beer.

What a stupid article. No Joe, Winston hits Evans ONE TIME (and oh yeah, not in stride or it would have been 6 points). If you take your head out your you will note the issue is he is not consistent. Along with accuracy problems. And why doesn’t Joe look up the definition of accuracy. Goofy.

  73. danr Says:

that inaccurate pass? k he threw a really long, bad throw.

  74. DalvinCookRules Says:

I am still a JW supporter, but I will be honest about it. Everything Mahommes does now is what I envisioned Jameis would be able to do when he came out of FSU. Yes, I was dead wrong. JW is still a decent QB but he is not going to be elite because of his limitations. He is the type of QB you need to have a good DEFENSE to win with. The truly great ones like Brady, Brees, Mahommes, etc can carry a team. Winston would be wise to just incrementally improve his game and play within his limitations instead of pretending he can ever be one of those other guys.

  75. JimmyJack Says:

St. Pete we can laugh or cry……Or my method of choice which is my aged ole friend of anger.

Some like to drink it away and I’m certain that over the years their had to be a Skyway jumping that was Bucs related.

But we need to be like that dude in that prison movie. You know that guy who crawled through a tunnel of spit and came out clean on the other side.

  76. RustyRhinos Says:

Bottom line for me is the only stats that matter. Wins! We are still “waiting for it” to happen with Winston at the helm. Why is it that Joe feels he is the “voice of the fan” but is critical of others who differ from his “voice of the fanship” we were told that Winston would make everyone around him better just being under center. When is that going to happen. As the Captain of the Ship “face of the Franchise” it does fall on his shoulders to improve his play and the Win totals. This is year five, not year one.

We narrowly missed a second Int that Periman had to go out and knock the ball from the DB’S hands because the throw was behind him. Who again is it that throws that football?
The SHOW ME EVENT this week looked great on paper. But the reality is that the second half we got beat bad. To many 3 and outs. Not nearly as much heat on their offense.
    On to the Rams.

  77. BucsBandit Says:

    DALVINCOOKRULES,

    Well said.

I think you hit it right on the head…

When we drafted Winston with the #1 overall pick we expected a lot from him. We expected him to be an elite, superstar QB.

He has fallen far short of expectations. He is not in the same category as the elite QBs in the NFL. Anyway who tries to say he is elite is lying.

Winston is no Mahomes, not even close.

So here we are… able to recognize that Winston has UNDERACHIEVED. He does have those LIMITATIONS that you mention. It’s obvious.

Winston is capable of some decent play here and there, but his limitations bring his overall game down. He is who he is.

So… with that being said… do we secure this guy for the next FIVE YEARS with a Salary-Cap-Busting $30M+/year, which completely eliminates the possibility for us to find an elite QB to lead the team… OR… do we PASS on Winston and not resign him?

I’m in the camp that we pass on him.

A fan CAN call it a clown show because it is. Nothing wrong with that. If the reality bothers you then wear little baby underpants and watch the scrabble tourney. Fans should ridicule their team. They will never get better if you don’t. Doesn’t mean you love them less. Some people just have no ability to see reality without getting butt hurt. The sad part is blindly supporting failure because they are your team. Jack ’em up.

  79. JimmyJack Says:

Us fans gotta do a better job though. I couldn’t get to the Opening Game like I wanted. But that crowd sounded weak over the TV.

Do you quiet fools realize that crowd noise actually helps your team win? Both physically and mentally.

Well I’ll be there when we get back from this road trip and I intend to make a difference. Time to get all y’all hollering not just me…….We need that game 0-2 at home is rubbing me the wrong way. I want that freaking game badly and I want at least 4 more to end this Den of Depression BS.

All JBFers need to get their lazy butts to that game if possible. The freaking team needs you. Make it happen.

  80. JimmyJack Says:

Bandit quit your whining and get your butt to that game and help will this team to victory.

    Who do we play anyway?

  81. JimmyJack Says:

Just looked it up. Cardinals game.

And somebody sell me a extra ticket cause I don’t pay retail. That atent my thang.

  82. Anonymous Says:

Dream season this year for the Bucs is they trade Winston to ANYONE for a #2 next year and the Bucs draft A.B.W. next year and use that $30-40 million to beef up other holes.

    A.B.W. = anyone but winston

JJ..I’ll be going to the Arizona game…

  84. BucsFan727 Says:

And Winston played well. Cant hait on that. Good job Winston.

  85. Anonymous Says:

So JimmyJack cries like a baby about people stating the truth about his team and then doesn’t own tickets bought from the club itself? He is part of the problem. Loser whiny fans: typical Tampa Bay. JimmyJack poster child.

  86. ChanEpic Says:

If we’re all being completely honest about JW, I will chime in. I don’t think he is the cause of all of the Bucs ills, but I also don’t know if he’s done enough for a contract extension. That’s a totally fair take and even though I support him now, if they did cut ties after this season I wouldn’t be surprised or upset in the least, save for the prospect of ANOTHER 5 years of QB development.

  87. Anonymous Says:

What was sad for Bucs fans was the video of thousands of NYG fans in the Bucs home stadium reveling in their victory. I’ll bet they didn’t buy resale tickets and come up with lame excuses. Some of you are pathetic.

  88. JimmyJack Says:

LOL anonymous……You tell me how it causes any problems to anybody to save 50 dollars on admission and maybe I’ll reconsider.

Proove to me that we cannot sign Shaq Barrett unless I pay full price and I will fork over the extra dough. Til then I’ll keep that 50 in my wallet so I can afford breakfast for your sister.

  89. Anonymous Says:

“Die hard” fans are season ticket holders, unless you are poor. Then when you can’t go you give the ticket to a Bucs fan. Ha, G men fans done took your spot. but you can afford some new underpants now. Die hard lol. Like yankee fans fillup the trop. Tampa bay fans are sad.

@Altered Just holler at me if you run into any unused tickets.

Either way I’m making keep posting about that game on these boards. Try and get these JBFers to all hook up and create some loud fan noise for the team. Let’s make it happen!!!

I’ll be in my old haunts Sec 123 south end zone

  93. JimmyJack Says:

I always start every game at the South Endzone. I’m a migrater so I usually sit in all the sections.

  94. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

JJ we’ll have to meet up why don’t you post your phone # and I’ll text you:-)

  95. Anonymous Says:

So Jimmy Jack violates fan policies too…don’t sit in his ticketed seat. Honest fans hate guys like Jimmy Jack. Those tampans don’t do nothing right.

  96. JimmyJack Says:

Haha Altered……..This is close enough to texting for me. Dont need my number sharpied on every 7-11 bathroom down MLK. Just check out the board on Gameday……I’ll make sure I post then. Im gonna keep posting about that game in the meantime as well. Try and get this JBF crowd there to help out that home field advantage.
More then a few big tailgate parties to meet up at. I bet I’ll be the only guy wearing a P.Barber tee shirt.

  97. JimmyJack Says:

Actually anonomous I misspoke. I don’t sit in nobody’s seat buddy. Been to many games and didn’t sit down at all. In case you are unaware there are general areas in the stadium like the south Endzone I had mentioned.

  98. JimmyJack Says:

Anonomous……I didn’t know that rule. I’ll tell my wife and kids that we gotta rearange our lives so that I can be classified as a die hard fan.

    Thanks for the info.

Do you quiet fools realize that crowd noise actually helps your team win? Both physically and mentally.

Crowd noise have zero impact to a team’s success on the field of play. Just look at the Rays.

  100. jruss Says:

@ Dapostman couldn’t have said it better myself.

This fan base is a total clown show. They fail to mention that their defense gave up 4 TD drives of 75+ yards to a rookie starting his first NFL game without his best player. They fail to mention that their PK missed a FG from 34 yards a kick that has a 94% success rate.

  101. Anonymous Says:

yeah Jimmy J It’s NFL wide.Thought you a bucs fan. Don’t get out much huh. The G mens fans know it follow it. Tkey take their own seat when watching Bucs get beat. Jimmy J poster child probly takes all kinds of stuff isn’t his. what a bad example for kids man. dont have to rearrange nothin buddy just be honest.glad to help.

  102. BucsBandit Says:

JimmyJack – I’ve already been to far too many games at the Old Sombrero and RayJay that I’ve long lost count. I’ve also been to away games. I was at the Super Bowl in 2003 cheering us to victory.

I refuse to attend another game until Jameis is gone. He’s not the answer and the team is going nowhere with him, especially if he ends up taking up over $30M+/year of the Salary Cap.

    JJ

Thanks for your reference to “Shawshank Redemption”.

Yep this is the dialogue that fits our situation….

Ellis Boy “Red” Redding: Hope is a dangerous thing my friend, it can kill a man…

Andy Dufresne: hope is a good thing maybe even the best of things and good things never die.

Andy was talking about prison…not a bad football team. If he could retain hope I guess I can as well.

Although I’m not going to crawl through a half mile pipe full of manure to see the Bucs win. LOL

  104. Oneilbucs Says:

I posted a question doing training camp. The national media and the people on this site said that it’s time for Jamies to get it done this year. I heard put up or shut up for Jamies right??? So I asked what if Jamies plays well this year and we still lose then what??? Then who do you blame??? He’s played good for 2 games in a row and yall still trying to blame him for a lost that he was good in . The national media said that a franchise quarterback is some one who puts his team in position to win Jamies did that in the kicker lost the game. So what if Jamies plays good against the Rams as well and we still lose then who fault is it ?? You can’t blame him if he does his job just like last week and yall still trying to blame him for the loss. But all yall said that if he plays good then yall will admit it. Then yall said that we don’t hope Jamies to failed we just want to win . Jamies is in a lose lose position with the national media and this trash fan base if he plays bad and the team lose it’s his fault. If Jamies plays good and the team lose it’s still his fault. So wont yall just say we hate Jamies regardless how good he plays!!!
