Weather: Pretty awesome day, per AccuWeather.com. Tailgaters will enjoy weather in the mid- to upper-80s and by kickoff the temperature should be 90. That will be the high for the day. As the game rolls on, temperatures should slide back into the mid-80s, all under sunny skies.

Outlook: Bucs icon Ronde Barber will be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor at halftime. … Good teams beat bad teams. And the Giants are a bad team. Their defense is lousy, there are few offensive weapons other than running back Saquon Barkley and the Giants just benched franchise legend quarterback Eli Manning for Daniel Jones, who most draft analysts scoffed at when the Giants selected him No. 6 overall. Very few good teams bench their healthy starting quarterback in September. And very few good teams let a rookie quarterback making his NFL debut beat you. It is no more complicated than that. If the Bucs don’t play Santa Claus like they did two weeks ago against San Francisco, they possibly win that game. This is very much a winnable game if the Bucs don’t beat the Bucs. If the Bucs don’t give the game away, the Bucs should win. It would be nice for tight end O.J. Howard to get on track. He’s had the worst start to his NFL career. And aside from Chris Godwin, none of the Bucs’ skill position players have played good football. Yeah, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, played OK at Carolina. Bucco Bruce Arians brags about the running game but that sure hasn’t looked anything special to Joe. Again, just OK. Maybe. The offense seems to be sputtering and it sure isn’t moving the ball like it has in recent years. Joe just doesn’t see this being a high-scoring game. Joe expects Barkley to get his and maybe two touchdowns along the way. The only way Joe can see the Giants winning is from Bucs turnovers or Barkley goes bananas, which isn’t far fetched.
Trinkets: … QB Daniel Jones (rookie) makes first career start. He was selected in first round (sixth overall) in 2019 NFL Draft. … RB Saquon Barkley had 135 scrimmage yards (107 rushing, 28 receiving yards and a rushing touchdown last week. Aims for his fourth in a row with at least 135 scrimmage yards. He had 152 scrimmage yards (142 rushing, 10 receiving yards) and 3 touchdowns (2 rush, 1 reception) in his only career game vs. Tampa Bay (November 2018). Barkley has 100-plus rushing yards in 3 of his past 4 road games. Bucs showed a promising running game and a stingy defense to trust in and rely on..
The Giants start a rookie, poor o-line, no star receivers, only a skilled running back but poor defense..
Can the Bucs really lose this game?… It WILL NOT get any easier than this game for them to get a win this season!

Someone help a BUCS fan in Texas. How can I legally watch/steam the games?Seems like a lot of these streaming services still only play the games as of you have cable. I’m so bummed out that i can’t see them here in Texas. Damn apps want your location. This SUCKS

This feels like one of those trap games where …on paper… the Bucs should win big, but too often in the past, they ended up beating themselves. Hopefully the defense shows up today, and the Bucs offense doesn’t turn the ball over. A win would give them some confidence moving forward.

IMO, this game could set the table for the rest of the season.
Lose to the Jints, and you have problems.

Just watched Patrick Mahomes throw two passes right to the Ravens … the first the Ravens guy couldn’t catch … the second was picked by erased by a pass interference on a receiver not even involved in the play … then Mahomes throws a screen-pass TD … gotta love lucky bounces.
Then, right after the screen-pass TD I flip over to the Patriots game and watch as Tom Brady throws a stupid pass into triple coverage … somehow Josh Gordon skys over everyone and makes the catch … gotta love lucky plays.
I haven’t seen Jameis have one of those since the bomb to Humphries for a TD against the Cowboys a long time ago … but I have seen him have a bunch of unlucky bounces, like the OJ-Howard dropped INT this year.
