Predictions.
Now this is weird.
It seems two BSPN NFL analysts believe Bucs fans leaving the Den of Depression Sunday night will be very hungover Monday morning when they drag their own carcasses into work, and be happy about it!
Why? Because the Bucs will win their fourth-straight regular-season opener.
Former Belicheat linebacker Rob Ninkovich and journeyman quarterback Dan Orlovsky (why is Joe all of a sudden hungry for perogies?) both tell Wendi Nix that they believe the Bucs will beat the 49ers Sunday. And neither believes it will be because of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.
Give the video a look and see if you agree. Orlovsky is rather bold in his forecast. Joe cannot remember the last time two BSPN NFL analysts both picked a Bucs victory.
Damn, it is good to have the NFL back!

Everyone is down on this oline. People seem to forget they looked great in 3 of the 4 games. And Cleveland’s d-line is one of the best in the league. Dotson is getting at the end of his career but Cappa is going to be good. Hopefully the lineman from the Steelers will work out to replace Dotson. Go Bucs!!!

Both those offensive lines last night (Green Bay and Chicago) were horrible. Both in the running game and in the pass protect. Besides the sacks, there seemed to be a lot of pressures as well. Not a high bar, but I got to think our Buc’s offensive line will be better than either of those two in the 1st game Sunday.

I like the Bucs as well. I say we win because of Winston and #13 #12 #80 and #84. Don’t matter if Richard Sherman is out there on Evans or not. No opponent is gonna leave one man to cover #13 by himself for to long. By the 2nd series they are gonna have to double up on the CORNERBACK KILLA!!! Then Winston and those other three are gonna light it up!! Second half we should be able to see if the rb’s we got are as good as Bruce says they are. If they can’t close the game out by smashing it down their throats we are looking forward to the 2020 draft by Halloween yet again! Cause we all know if you don’t win your winnable games your not gonna win many of the others either!

I am sticking with my 5-11 prediction. Gay may get us a 6th win somehow. Until this team fixes the trenches, they will continue to struggle. I think our OL is more middle to lower of pack in the NFL 32. Overpaid IMHO. Our DEF line is bottom 10. Losing JPP was big and its going to show all year long. Sorry but that is reality and we whiffed by getting White/LB and not picking Josh Allen @ 5. Vea is injury prone and Bunting was a ghost so far. This Buc front office/Licht is the Mr. Magoo of NFL drafting. I thought Arians would help but his NFL draft track record is not so good either.

On paper Bucs look pretty good, but so do many teams. At for me, what will make the difference this year are the coaches and their scheme. Predicting a wild card 9-7.

Curious Alabama, what exactly looks good on paper. Cappa and Dotson and on the o-line? Barber and Jones in the backfield? Carl Nassib as your starting outside LB? I guy that has so far been a bust as an outside CB and another 2nd year CB that struggled a lot last year? Is it the rookies we drafted? Not one of them outside of White has even been able to crack the starting line up. I would argue that on paper this team looks very very bad. Outside of a couple skill positions on offense, this team looks like a 3 to 6 win team.

There is a reason all the eternal optimist homers keep pointing to coaching being the key. The team is virtually unchanged from last year with a few key subtractions. They don’t point to the wealth of talent because it isnt there and they are pinning their hopes entirely on coaching.

Big problem with Tampa Bay that isn’t discussed much is 5 head coaches and 2 general managers in 12 years. That’s right, constant instability in important football positions. That happens in any business, etc. and belly up ain’t far behind. Fact. I hope the BA Era will end the merry-go-round for a few years. Looking forward to Sunday, 4:25PM on Bucs Radio. 🙂

Wrong again Kobe. Green Bays defensive front has been less than average in every measurable stat. They have no players in the NFL top 200 in their defensive front. Their defensive coordinator Pettine is known for developing defensive backs not defensive front guys.
