“He’s One Of The Great Motivators In This Game”
August 30th, 2019As Bucs fans now turn their full focus to the regular season — just nine days away! — it feels good to hear positive vibes from a Hall of Famer not affiliated with Tampa Bay.
Joe listened to chunks of the Cowboys broadcast of the Bucs-Dallas preseason game last night and Michael Irvin, Emmittt Smith and the rest of the giant Cowboys crew started talking about the Bucs and Bucco Bruce Arians.
Irvin dominated the chatter and shared his deep admiration for the Bucs’ new sheriff.
“He’s not just a fabulous offensive mind, he’s one of the great motivators in this game from a coaching perspective, and getting the best out of his guys,” Irvin said. “Man, I spent a lot of time with him when he was in Arizona. I love him. I would have loved to play for this man.”
And that’s exactly what Bucs fans are banking on.
Yeah, the Bucs added young talent on defense, but the talent is about the same on offense and maybe the special teams is better. But everyone is banking that Arians can deliver the secret sauce he brought to Indianapolis and Arizona as a first-year coach.
If Arians truly is the great offensive mind and master motivator Irvin says he is, then there’s no reason the Bucs can’t score enough points to win at least half their games.

Strongly agree, Joe. But I would add that with Matt Gay, special teams is definitely better. I know it’s just preseason, but by comparison (of which there really is none), Aguayo missed his first XP of the preseason and his kicks usually looked shaky even if he made it. Gay’s kicks just look like a stud NFL kicker. Assuming his head stays straight, his kicks should too, and he could become THE most dangerous kicker in football in the not too distant future. As far as BA, I love Micheal Irvin’s take because that man doesn’t fluff anything and sounds like he would run through a wall for him. I’m confident our team will as well. 49ers, come and get some!! GO BUCS!!

Wonder what took him do long to become a head coach. Not a negative comment, just curious.
But I really like the guy. He’s got a no nonsense approach without being total d. It’s cut time and there’s bound to be a few surprises.

Even the most strident Negative Nancies here have to see a difference in how well Coached these players are across the board. Remember all the unforced errors in previous regimes? The execution is much better, the speed on defense is night and day.
There’s hope for you cranky meg namcies, its called a coaching staff. Get ready to be surprised and support a competitive football team.
And for those who will never be convinced, enjoy eating your Crow.

I must say I can sure see a difference in the way we are playing. Bowles defense is exciting to watch, and our guys seem to be way better disciplined then they were under Koetter.

I like BA.

Our 3rd,4th, and 5th string defense this preseason has played harder, faster, and more skilled than our starting defense for the last 4 years. How can anyone still say coaching wasn’t our problem.
August 30th, 2019 at 8:55 am
Koetter was praised and deemed the Godfather and the leader of Stick carriers because it was something the fans could be a part of
Why can’t we all be behind this staff. Why is it with a proven coach comes and all of the sudden there’s “IFs” everywhere and everything being questioned?

I like BA pretty much, I just hope managment so not swallow another coach because of incompetence…….Time will tell…..Is to early for predictions…..

BA is great and the best part is he’s staffed up with quality top-to-bottom. The only question mark is a youngish OC/play caller but Leftwich has an abundance of talent and is surrounded by experience on the staff. Its just night and day versus the last 3 regimes. Of course the staff doesn’t suit up and play the games, so we shall see…

Lamarcus – they have a form of derangement syndrome. The.varieties are as follows:
Licht DS
Jamies Hate DS
Lovie Lovers DS
And my personal favorite
The Bucs never pick the guy I want in the draft or pick up every free agent ever available I want to satisfy my fantasy/madden perspective DS
You all know who you are… And your affliction may bot be curable. I still hold out hope, but am fully expecting the whining to continue even if we are competitive. Hell, some will even complain when we win.

I’m not predicting anything, neither am I calling anyone names; let the games begin. But “realist” is a good tag as well. A day ago nearly everyone was moaning about the O-line and predicting disaster…

Joe probably wishes this guy White bust so his opinion can right. This is how it usually works.

Change of culture + high quality coaching = winning season = franchise turnaround

I was hoping for this 2 ears before it happened…its somewhere in the comments. Well, he’s here and we’re better coached and much different now! If our O line doesnt get JW injured, i see at least 8-8. But JW also has to play smart and quickly read through his progressions (which is also contingent on our thin O line)

I believe I heard an F bomb released from BA over the airwaves during a disagreement with the refs on a call last night while fighting for our Bucs.

Alls I can say is Arians better Win. The Love feast is about over. I remember many of you here who said Koetter and Smitty were the..2nd Coming. These fans will turn on you quicker than Western Diamonback Rattler. We shall soon see how great of a motivator he is. Good Luck brother Bruce!
