Mike Evans Won’t Play Friday

Injuries to important Buccaneers continue to mount.
Mike Evans being hurt is not a new report this week, but fresh news from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is.
He Twittered this afternoon that Evans will sit out Friday’s preseason “dress rehearsal” game against the Browns at the Den of Depression. Pelissero added that he’s been told Evans has a minor quad or groin issue. (Which is it?)
Joe hopes the Bucs’ medical team is working with the sports science team and the Bucs’ massive coaching staff to get Evans ready for opening day.
This is somewhat disturbing because Evans has spoken in past years about being a fan of preseason because it helps him get into a rhythm. Evans had no receptions in the Bucs’ first two preseason contests of 2019. America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, threw his way to open last week’s game but there appeared to be a miscommunication, based on the scowl on Evans’ face.

This is too bad because I think there is a reasonable chance that Evans, one of the best receivers in the NFL, probably has forgotten how to play football.

The silver lining is that Jameis will be forced to throw it to someone other than ME13…….not a bad choice to have…..Godwin, Perriman, Howard, Brate……and even Peyton……
