“Get To Play With Our Eyes More”
August 13th, 2019The Bucco Bruce Arians offense has loads of similarities to the Dirk Koetter offense. But it’s definitely different.
Will different equal better? That’s the $50 million question.
Emerging Bucs fan favorite running back Ronald Jones likes the diversity, so he explained on SiriusXM NFL Radio during their Training Camp Tour to One Buc Palace.
“We definitely get to play a lot more free,” Jones said. “You know, a lot of things we’re reading on the run, get the play with our eyes more. You know, we’re not just hitting the ball in the gap in the hole. You know, we’re able to cut back, press, things like that. I just like the flow.”
Man, Joe wants desperately to jump on the RoJo bandwagon. But it’s just too soon. Still, it’s good to hear his confidence expressed in a very different way here. Joe thinks the Bucs are more of a power blocking team based on personnel, but perhaps Arians will find just the right mix to reignite the rushing attack.
RoJoe added that he spent a lot of time this offseason studying to understand “the integrity” of plays, and he liked when co-host Jim Miller compared him to Lesean McCoy, though Jones said he tries to be more like retired Chiefs great Jamaal Charles.

Everyone will realize what a joke Koetter and his offense is this year in Atlanta.
August 13th, 2019 at 11:36 am
Playing with their eyes instead of playing with blocker’s nuts…….much better.
August 13th, 2019 at 11:37 am
Joe, I’m just happy you’re at least playing footsie with the notion of hopping on the RoJo train!
August 13th, 2019 at 11:37 am
We can only hope that he gets it going in the regular season. Too high of draft capital to miss on a RB. Go Bucs!
August 13th, 2019 at 11:47 am
Joes says “RoJoe added that he spent a lot of time this offseason studying to understand “the integrity” of plays,”
Simple spelling error? Or is Joe subliminally already so secretly onto the RoJo bandwagon that he’s integrated himself?
Definitely nice to see him do well the other night…let’s go for consistency….it’s nice not to be asking “wtf” on him right now.

“Lol Lesean Mccoy?
Mccoy has great stop and go, cutback elusiveness
inflated 199lber has no shake & bake whatsoever”

Legggggooooo RO JOOOOOOOO
Head ball coach knows a thing or two. Bailing out JL.
August 13th, 2019 at 12:02 pm
Koetter had some weird ways but blindfolded running backs explains a lot.
August 13th, 2019 at 12:06 pm
Kobe faker… when Jones proves you wrong will you actually leave for good? You make it clear time and time again you dont know what you’re talking about and dont have an eye for talent, yet you ramble on as if you’re nostradamus. Sad.
August 13th, 2019 at 12:10 pm
RoJo gets 50 yards in a real game and Kobe Faker gone for good. Unless he’s like those Hollywood types who threatened to move to Canada.
Can’t wait!
August 13th, 2019 at 12:17 pm
I’ve been saying Jamaal Charles 2.0 the whole time, since we drafted Rojo…
And he WILL BECOME Tampa Bay’s version of that, but bigger and stronger… And with equal big-play/take-it-to-the-house capability as Jamaal Charles, and maybe more whenhe reaches his full potential…
August 13th, 2019 at 12:18 pm
Kobe’s made similar threats before and never left.
August 13th, 2019 at 12:21 pm
Prove it, plain and simple.
August 13th, 2019 at 12:27 pm
“100% Absolutely…
RJ will not get over 50 yards in any regular season game this year
If the Bust goes over 50 yards, Kobe Faker will sing his farewell song
When Dare Ogunbowale replaces him, you will see the huge difference of skillset”

“You know, we’re not just hitting the ball in the gap in the hole. You know, we’re able to cut back, press, things like that.”
Wow.
If any of you can read between the lines, you know what a bone crushing indictment of Koetter this is. This is why he’s so garbage with young backs. Don’t use your vision, your instincts. Hit this hole no matter what because i don’t trust you to make the right cut for my system. Then, right when you’re getting a rhythm, I’ll take you out. I’ll run power schemes for zone runners, and zone schemes for power runners. Btw we have the worst run blocking unit in the league, so you’re gonna have to create your own opportunities almost every snap. But i expect you to maintain your confidence and make plays despite all this.
Bush. League.

Kobe I think Dare is super underrated and could probably be a decent situational back but jumping to the conclusion that it means a 2nd round back will never hit 50 yards in a game once in his career and lose his job to said borderline practice squad player is why people struggle to take your opinions seriously. Waaaaaaaay over the top dude.
August 13th, 2019 at 1:03 pm
Kobe said he was leaving if JW stayed. Don’t get your hopes up.
August 13th, 2019 at 1:05 pm
Man I hope Rojo can proves us all wrong. He has a great skill set if he can just put it together at the pro level. It would also do a lot to help vindicate Litch as he try’s to prove he deserves the job.
August 13th, 2019 at 1:12 pm
I actually kind of like Kobe’s posts……they are quite entertaining….dimwits are often funny!!!
August 13th, 2019 at 1:18 pm
ROJO will be a 1200 all purpose yard player this year, you heard Bucco Bruce, he will ride the hot hand, ROJO will have those days. Also, remember what we saw Friday night but never saw under the DK regime, a screen pass. DK was so stubborn that even last year during preseason when we saw ROJO catch a long pass along the sideline, they said look how that worked, saved it for the regular season, well, I guess they are still saving it

Can’t wait til Kobe Faker stays true to his word and disappears forever. As for RoJo, his words tell a bigger story. Sure seems like Koetter and the previous staff wanted the RB’s sticking to a script with their runs, which would explain how both RB’s seemed to miss cutback opportunities at times last season. Not surprising, given the lack of success most RB’s have had in Koetter’s offenses…don’t doubt both Barber and RoJo will look far better in this offense this year.
August 13th, 2019 at 3:13 pm
If Cappa is turning into the “dominate” RG that his QB and team says he is and jacked up Vita Vea when his injury occurred, we could have a sick ass 1-2-3 RB punch. RoJo=speed. Barber=good speed and power. And Ogunbowale=major power inside the 10-yard line. Lose Ellington and Anderson.
August 13th, 2019 at 3:44 pm
Dirk Koetter= 500 yards and 3 points
August 13th, 2019 at 3:45 pm
To you Joe that would be America’s RB Ronald Jones III.
open mouth, swallow crow
August 13th, 2019 at 3:48 pm
Can’t believe I’m saying this but Kobe is almost correct. I saw more burst and wiggle out of Dare than Rojo and Barber. With that said I’m not willing to say Rojo won’t get over 50yds and that Dare will over take him. All it showed is that between the 3 of them we have a decent backfield by committee.
August 13th, 2019 at 4:30 pm
Kobe Faker will just come back as Lebron Faker when Ro-Jo runs for 125 and 3 scores.
August 13th, 2019 at 6:02 pm
It is doubleplus funny that Kobe Faker says he will leave this site if our RB RoJo starts playing better and has a 50 yd game this year.
Hopefully he follows through with that, cause that’s just about the clearest thing I’ve seen on this wonderful Joebucsfan site from Mr. Faker.
I mean, wow. You my friend, are about as useful as a rubber crutch.
Poser fan. Get lost.

“If the Bust goes over 50 yards, Kobe Faker will sing his farewell song”
Yea – like we haven’t heard that lie before….
Go ROJO! (in case there’s a chance you might actually leave Kobe Liar)
