Today Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians seemed to have a little more bounce in his step than usual. Joe thinks he knows why.
Sure, Arians is looking forward to two days of intersquad practices with the Dolphins this week. Arians said the final details of the practices will be hammered out tonight with Dolphins officials.
But a big name Arians had around the team this spring and summer will be joining Arians’ staff full-time. Per Greg Auman of The Athletic, quarterback savant and offensive consultant Tom Moore has agreed to stick around for the entire 2019 season. His specific duties and title are currently unknown.
Joe thinks it is fair to suggest America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, is getting ample support to move his career forward.
If Jameis falters this season, it isn’t like the Bucs didn’t bring in enough help for the former No. 1 overall pick.

Didn’t I hear once that Tony Dungy wanted Moore to join him when he took over the job in Tampa? If that is the case, can’t you imagine what might have been with TD and his Tampa 2, and Tom Moore, an Offensive savant?
Well put Joe….. every effort is being made to give Jameis the tools necessary for success. For all our sakes, let’s just hope that he has grown up and put away childish things. snf reaches his full potential.

Why end the story with a negative spin? That’s why you drive the real fans nuts Why not if Jameis turns into the franchise an we all think he can, he will have plenty of coaches to thank it would be interesting whom he gives the most credit.

Or even better. It sure seems a lot of good offensive minded coaches want to work with Jameis. They all must see something in the young 1st round pick. Something we all see .

Point well taken Joe…assuming we would have drafted or signed all those guys had Moore been the OC. I tend to believe he would have called for, and likely been listened to, by TD and Richie. Some might not have been brought in. And of course, we have no idea how the other drafts on the O side of the ball would have gone during those years….Anthony being an example I think there is good reason to think our offense would have been better.. and we weren’t that far away from beating the Rams. It might have been a dynasty, rather than a one timer. Just saying…and glad the guy is here.

I wonder if Jameis realizes yet that EVERY time he touches the ball his play will be scrutinized in greater depth than probably any QB in history.
Personally not at all worried about Jameis having ‘too many voices in his head’. Thankfully, all of his overseers … BA, Byron, Clyde & now Tom … are all experienced enough to know how to deliver a unified message.

Tom Moore another great offensive mind but whose voice wins out? Moore coming aboard can also help Byron as he grows as an OC. Hope the qb whisperer gets some sweet nothings in jameis ears too

Bucs working out working out veteran safety Marcus Gilchrist today. BA is sending Evans a message loud and clear. Hopefully he’s healthy and they sign him we need a savvy vet in the safety room.

Great move, reminds me of when the warriors picked up Jerry West!! He was crucial in keeping Klay Thompson as he was about to be traded. Thats the knowledge and expertise I expect from Moore.

If Jameis doesnt have a winning season with a fair defense and strong kicking game and the best coaching staff in Bucs history I will agree hes finished. I dont see that happeneing though. Jameis has NEVER been in this good of a situation. This will be fun to watch

Great question for the next presser (vice assuming he’s going to focus on the QB then ipso-facto if the QB doesn’t win us a bunch more games, he’s toast). Moore also did some great work with O-lines in Indy, if I recall. Go Bucs!

Don’t know much about Moore & would guess he has an old-school mentality like Bruce does. It’s what I love about this coaching staff and why I believe they will get results.
I am still irked by Joes article yesterday saying that there are rumblings that some of our players think Bruce’s Training Camp is too tough. Whoever these players are are not going to make it here. They will be lucky to survive the season without getting run off……So maybe it’s a good thing to hear that……In only a few weeks of practice Bruce has already started flushing out the weak players and will surely systematic remove them like you would and type of bug or cockroach………If you ask me a lack of toughness has been what has held this team back. Much much moreso then a lack of talent.

Moore will definitely be an asset! I know he can help our Offensive Linemen too. All Jameis needs to know is he was OC when Indianapolis won a Super Bowl!

AWESOME!!!!! I HAVE FOLLOWED mOORE HIS WHOLE CAREER.THIS GUYS KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. I noticed him on the bench on Friday night and I quickly googled and it said Tampa brought him in as a consultant for the pre-season. To have him aboard full time is such a positive. This season will be a step in the right direction for this franchise. NO im not saying playoffs but I believe we will see the beginning of a good team

On the one hand, I don’t want to even acknowledge a regular poster on this site who consistently just makes ridiculous statements, on the other hand I just can’t let this one go. I won’t attack you personally TJ Maxx, but I will attack your statements. Calling Dungy a failure in his tenure with the Bucs is just idiotic. Yes, it’s unfortunate he couldn’t get us over the hump due to loyalty to offensive coaching staff that just weren’t getting the job done, but he MADE the Bucs that us fans from the Super Bowl era know and revere. Try to troll more intelligently in the future.
