“I Know He’s Going To Throw His Face In The Fan”
July 26th, 2019After training camp practice Day 1 ended this evening, Bucco Bruce Arians seemed like a head coach aching for Monday so he can watch some real football.
With so, so many new players on defense, Arians knows he can’t evaluate these guys well he can see them rolling at full speed.
Offensive linemen? Arians always says he can’t evaluate them until the hitting begins.
Running backs? Arians liked the way they saw holes but he noted the holes aren’t real.
Hard-hitting safety Jordan Whitehead was brought up to Arians after practice and, with Justin Evans playing spectator because of his bad wheel, Arians noted Whitehead is “flying around,” has added weight at the team’s request and “I know he’s going to throw his face in the fan.”
The clock on underwear football is winding down and the pads will be on next week. Joe can hardly handle another less-than-full-speed session in the Glazer Shed, where the team was crammed in today because of weather.
As for Whitehead, well, Arians is going allow some tackling to the ground in camp. So the second-year man’s fury will be felt.

I like this kid! And Edwards too but Whitehead is a throwback to when football was a contact sport. ❤️

Whitehead wants to take your head off.
If they can coach him up and he works on coverage …look out…

Gotta love Whiteheads chances. He showed some real flash last year.
Can’t ask much more from a late rounder pressed into action.
Time for this team to Buc the tread of their young players regressing. All’s it takes is hard work. Great sign if Arians is giving him praise.

Whitehead is a head hunter. As a rookie last year, he made some good tackles. He was consistent with wrapping up contrary to arm tackling RSmith, Brent Grimes n Isaiah Johnson. Whitehead reminds me of former Buc Tanard Jackson. Unlike others over the past several years, I believe Whitehead n Mike Edwards can change the culture of the safety position for the Bucs. Whitehead plays violent, hungry, n aggressive.BA knows that Whitehead is a BA type player.

As dmatt simply stated……………………Kick Some _A_S_S Seabass. Let the chips fall where they may but this kid is young enough not to have the stench of pass interference penalties haunting his career yet one who is known to “throw the wood” upon contact more than not. I like this wunderkind’s promise. You go boy! The Bucs need this…..

….And then teach the 1/2 rated “co-thumpers” that are holding back. A simple thought really, ……….Sometimes you are the Louisville Slugger and sometimes you’re the ball. Make sure you are not the ball as it is tossed around the field of green before the game in a lame manner as such, simply put the crown of your “bat” on the “legal” mark and lay some wood. Done deal. Now there is a split second of hesitation for the reach and grab balls. Simply put…….don’t make it an easy play. Kid’s got promise to be sure.

Jordan comes from the same bloodline Darrelle Revis comes from. It should be expected that he’ll throw his face in the proverbial fan. His whole family is watching him fully expecting him to carry on the tradition his Big cousin set forth. Sik’em Jordan.

I like his game, big hitter without getting flagged.

Whitehead is a stud.
And he’s added weight now? Look out!!!
Dude is blazing fast, a big-hitter, smart, and a Gamer.
He and Mike Edwards will be a force back there, and then we’ll have a really strong rotation when Justin Evans comes back strong (hopefully)..

Db55 I miss those days wen you could actually hit some one. John Lynch was my all time favorite player because he struck the fear of god into players who came across the middle. Players would drop the ball with no one around them cuz they thought they were about to get hammered not only physically did #47 hurt them but mentally too

Mark Cotney, Mike Washington, Tanard Jackson (star-crossed), Ronde Barber and John Lynch….what a historical lineup of first-class DBs. Whitehead will join them. I’ve been a fan since last year’s first preseason game.

Can you say Jack Tatum or Ronnie Lott?
