And for Bucs fans, well, this is a little slice of nirvana.
The Buccaneers got really smart and mic’d up manbeast new defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh at practice this week. Joe loved watching Suh learn a drill he hadn’t ever experienced in his nine-year career. Joe highly recommends it.
And you get to hear veteran defensive end/tackle Will Gholston talk to Suh about learning from him, and Suh delivers some great feedback.

By the time training camp is over Gholston will be playing at a level he has never experienced before. You have to say good on Gholston for doing what it takes to get what he needs to get from Suh. On the other hand, good on Suh for being an open book, I’ll tell you everything I know and probably will show him everything too.

You’re spot on Joe … that was a slice of nirvana. I too wish that the Bucs would do more stuff like that to help the fans here get to know our players better.
One of the things that’s struck me about Ndamukong Suh through his first interview & now through allowing himself to be mic’d up is that he really seems to be enjoying this new experience with the Bucs. No idea is that’s BA’s & TB’s influence, but it’s the polar opposite from all the negative ‘analyses’ that so many national pundits were spewing when he signed on here. This HAS TO get fans excited for the season to start.

maybe suh has realized he’s not hall of fame ready, and he needs to settle in with one team for a few years to stake his claim…and be a leader and an interracial part of a championship, as well as pad his stats so to someday wear that yellow jacket…
he really need a good solid 3-4 year run with one franchise and a title, and he’s in

@ Jimmy, i thought the same thing.lol. nah this dude seems to be know how to be a gentlemen but like he said in the video,ITS ALL MENTALITY. When Gholston told him “i wanna learn from you” suh without thinking told him ” I’ll give you everything i got.” And to think some bucs fans were hesistant of signing him. At the end of the day i think Suh and White will be the defensive leaders

Best Free Agent Signing since Simeon Rice. And as always our well-informed fans are spot on, with Suh and White this is a new attitude to our team and everyone will now start to reach their full potential. This was a great clip but Suh toned it down a lot because he knew he was mic’d. He is very cerebral, more so than I thought.
No one is going to want to play us! We’re going to break their will in the 4th quarter and get that 3 and out and our offensive line will be much improved from practicing against this line that we will run the clock out. To me, that is the ultimate sign of a dominant team.

Imagine if gholston can play like suh? Damn near just as big. Just as strong. But gholston is faster and more athletic. Imagine if suh can get him to play to his potential just be being in his ear. Seems like gholston wants to pay close attention to suh. Wow imagine those 2 plus vea. They could really hold up lineman so our linebackers can wreck havoc with their speed (no pun intended)

Geraldine was as average as they come but he was known for being a teacher here especially with gholston trying to feel in at 3 tech and up to this year had never misseda camp day. If he couldn’t learn pass rushing from Geraldine, suh wont teach him a thing and he’ll mostly benefit from the new coaches.
But does speak volumes they are trying to pick his brain and he’s trying to get up to speed with them and the playbook. He’s likely just easier to take seriously but dream as you wish he’s not gonna suddenly turn into a beast of a pass rusher. He should have been training with simeon rice for that

I’ve noticed … even going to minicamp … you see Gholston is always around suh … shows you how suh is already a leader on this defense … this was not seen with McCoy AT ALL… guys want to absorb everything suh does … great signing bucs

McCoy with a mic on would have been trying to yuk it up and be a clown for the camera.

just think of all the terrible things that the scribes such as Rick Stroud have said about him. Most fans would believe he was here to rape their women and children
Suh is a very intelligent man but the media relegated him to an unrefined brute. Stroud is on record saying that Suh wasn’t the sort of player to assist other players or stay after practice to work with players on technique. He’s said it on his sports day Tampa Bay and he said it on a Serius XM interview with Pat Kerwin.
