Get Ready To Hit

On the third day, Roger Goodell created the first day to hit.
That’s essentially when the pads come on for the first time (permissible by the NFL-NFLPA pact that expires after the 2020 season). And by God, Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians plans to hit.
Today after the final practice of underwear football season, Arians was asked if he was going to allow players to hit early in training camp.
“Oh, yeah!” Arians said with a chuckle between drinks of water. “You can’t learn to tackle unless you tackle.”
It was refreshing to hear but not at all surprising to Joe. Remember, Arians is a Bear Bryant disciple. You know, the man behind Junction Boys.
For Arians, like Bryant, the idea of no hitting in practice when allowed is hateful and downright un-American.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like BA hasn’t even started? To me it’s like nothing has started until the pads come on. All you’ve seen thus far is kids getting in shape and learning the playbook, as it should be but wtfdik.
That’s why I thought it was funny when he said the secondary is all fixed now. Lol.
We need a RT and a RG, a vet safety and CB and possibly another pro-bowl pass rusher, I’m growing impatient. I want to win dammit.

All I know is like St.Pete said on the last thread when you have speed you have speed. I give a s#%$ if it’s underwear or pads. What y’all expecting my young DBs to slower or something. Please.

I love all our guys but I see there is divide amongst poster. This training camp I’m on team DBs side. We fina get it to y’all @$$.

It would be nice to see some tackling around here.
That Pittsburg game still haunts my dreams. Poor tackling lost us that one.
My greatest hope is for Bruce to get this team producing on 3rd & 1. These are the biggest plays in football and we have lost over 90% of them for years on end…….No team has ever won a SB that was lousy on 3rd &1(go rewatch the AFC championship please)……It’s also something the 2001 Bucs were awful at. Gruden fixed it and we would not have won our SB without it.
I will ultimately judge Bruce on 3rd & 1.

Save it 55,my young Silverhawks crawling all over our beloved WRs and y’all don’t like it. Which is crazy to me,you should be highly encouraged by this. Iron sharpen Iron.
