Expect A Housecleaning
December 19th, 2009The mystery of whether Raheem the Dream will survive is anyone’s guess right now. There are valid arguments on both sides of the fence.
There is little debate that Raheem the Dream cannot or should not be the fall guy. There are plenty of people to point fingers at, including a number of assistants.
That’s the gist of a comment from eye-RAH! Kaufman of the Tampa Tribune. Posting on TBO’s Bucs Twitter feed, Kaufman noted either way, there will be a housecleaning of the coaching staff in the coming weeks.
Even if Raheem Morris remains, the Bucs coaching staff figures to be overhauled next season through resignations and dismissals.
If it was up to Joe, the entire offensive staff should be put under the microscope. The defense has improved since defensive coordinator Jim Bates was defrocked. The offense has been a cluster (youknowwhat) since Day 1.
Problem is, Raheem the Dream will be on thin ice if he returns. Very thin ice. If the Bucs continue to suck next year, Raheem the Dream may not even finish the regular season.
What decent coach(es) is going to want to come to a team when he may have to pack his bags and move (again) after possibly one year?

How about one that can slide right into the HC role if Rah is fired mid season, ie……Charlie Weis?
Pretty much the main reason I think Rah & Dominik would nix the idea of hiring Weis in the first place…..my own hunch is the Glazers give Morris one more year and he keeps Olson on…..He’s already getting crap from fans & media for firing two coordinators in two years….
That being said, for the good of Josh Freeman the Glazers/Dominik need to make a choice. Either they go with Olson for another year or they give the new offensive coordinator (and by extension Raheem) another FEW years. I just don’t want to see what happened to Jason Campbell (new system/coordinator every year) happen to Josh Freeman…..

Whoops….2 coordinators in 2 years? Meant 2 coordinators in half a season…..

Why do u say little doubt that Rah-Rah should not be the scapegoat? Many believe that the performance of the head coach has been one of the worst in league history.
Hiring/firing of coordinators, Mutliple offensive and defensive systems, Safety to LB to Safety for Phillips,4 qbs (why the McCown/Byron charade?), 4 kickers, horrific in-game decisions costing wins, Sticking w/ Caddy over Graham, sticking with Crappy Piscitelli – to name a few.
This franchise needs a brand new start. My group of season ticket holders (totalling about 12 seats) have agreed not to renew if Rah-Rah is retained. I am told that there are thousands more like us!

Another housecleaning……………*yawn*….
It means less than nothing if they don’t spring for players and coaches.
Lets summarize this situation, shall we?…it’s like this:
Glazers, the jig is up. Even the less intelligent are starting to see
what is actually happening. Either spend the money to build a real
team or sell it. Simple as that…….
…did you see what happened with Vince Namoli?

Joe has not. But given the fact that piece of s(p)it Naimoli is one of the worst pieces of human debris walking the face of the earth, Joe hopes it’s something dreadful.

I was referring to the fan base getting extremely
vocal about wanting new ownership.

Not goint to get new owners, HC, GM, OC….We are going to get 10 great draftpicks, a second year of maturity for Josh and a damn good team next year. You guys think you live in Cleveland or Cincinnati or KC etc

Enlighten me here…..
Do the Bucs even have an acting QB’s coach?
Did they hire anyone to take over Olsen’s job when he went
to OC????
Is Freeman actually working without a QB coach right now?..
….and if so what does that say about this teams commitment to anything
other than payroll purging?
I don’t know…enlighten me

Olson is wearing both hats of quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator.

No one knows which hat Olson is wearing with his head so far up his ass.

Hey Joe I thought I was venomous. What happened to Namoli I hope something dreadfull, Classic.

THe “only” way the Glazers will get a REAL coach to come in here is if he picks his own assistants. And even then the REAL coach better get them on contract for Large Guaranteed money should those idiots decide to fire him and have another brain fart that caused them to promote this WonderCrew they have now. And the GM has to go too.
