Bucs’ Week 1 Highlights

Where’s Jason Pierre-Paul? It sure seems like he’s been a glaring no-show at One Buc Palace since the majority of the team reported back to work on April 1.
And Joe has to ask, where is America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston?
Joe’s not saying Jameis hasn’t been there, but one would think the team would find a way to show the face of the franchise. Right? It sure seemed odd that the Buccaneers didn’t include Jameis in the pictures and video shared by the club from Week 1 of offseason training.
Anyway, lots of face time for Vernon Hargreaves and Ryan Smith. Here’s a sampling:

I’m sure BA already is happy with what JPP brings to the table. Same goes for most of the veterans I’m sure. These voluntary workouts are more necessary for the unknown players to give BA and company a better ideal of how to approach the draft.

@ Joe , can we get an update on Kendall Beckwith ??? Did he show up? Did he participate ? How does he look ?
Don’t know if he was there or participated. Media, Joe included, didn’t ask Hargreaves or Evans when they were made available last week. Joe has not reached out with anyone to find out yet. –Joe

JPP has been posting a bunch of workout videos on his Instagram, I’m not worried. He keeps it real.

The locker room as a whole starting 2019 offseason does seem to be a real issue, right now. Maybe not by Week 1 with BA’s influence, but currently it is. And JPP is no issue whatsoever. Class guy, leader, hard worker. Who gives a damn if he’s here or not at a voluntary workout.
Another thing to keep an eye out for, is Elway’s extreme lust for Drew Lock. More and more, it seems strongly that Elway won’t risk the Giants slow-playing their interest in Lock also, and possibly taking Lock at #6. Sooo…Licht/BA have to exploit Elway’s anxiety of getting in front of them at #5 with us, especially also in light of CIN liking Lock and Haskins, and maybe moving to #3 with the Jets or #5 with us to secure Lock BEFORE Elway can make the deal with us. Sooo…Elway will need to make a deal sooner rather than later for sure. It looks like Haskins is the last of the top 3 QB’s to go.

Disagree…until Nov 2017 Winston was the face of the franchise. Now no one is sure. Yeah, Arians is playing him up, as he should. And don’t forget, the Bucs are in the middle of trying to keep ticket holdes from last year and are getting ready to open up for new fans to pick their seats after the relocation event is done this month. Probably not a good idea to be parading him out there right now–I for one hope he wins, hope he scores every play, but he’s a scumbag in my book. I will never boo but also never applaud when he runs out of the tunnel. Not sure he’s ready to be team captain yet again either. So my bet is they keep him fairly low key until training camp.

Message to the Glazers, Jason Licht, BA and OBP, if Jameis is the face of the franchise then we better see his face. That includes one of the four banners on the side of the stadium and promotional videos. Otherwise it’s fake news and you’re all full of $hit.
