Schiano Dumps Patriots

In a surprise move this afternoon, former Bucs commander Greg Schiano announced he won’t be the Patriots defensive coordinator this year after all.
Schiano issued a statement that said he wanted to focus on faith and family to avoid regrets later in life.
No word on whether Bill Belicheat will try to lure Mike Smith out of retirement.

Crowell to Raiders on VERY economical 1 year “up to” $2.5 mill deal, likely around $1.5 base with incentives. But no, BA had to have 30 year old Ellington after 18 months on the couch for $800k!?…which could have been spent on Crowell age 26.

Schiano had the bucs defense playing at its highest level since the kiffen days. WTF is BA & licht doing? Crowell is so much better than any RB on this roster & that trade for quinn? maybe he was too similar to jpp in the bowles defense. BUT passing on Crowell is a basic licht weight move

Uhh a simple google search reveals Crowell was arrested for felony weapons charges, was reprimanded for his attitude, and failing a drug test. He hasn’t done anything recently that I can find, but he does not have a great record.
Below is a snippet of why he went undrafted:
“Crowell transferred to Alabama State for the remainder of his career and, despite putting up good numbers in his lone year in Montgomery, Ala., went undrafted because of character issues. In fact the NFL.com draft analysis of Crowell said that he was “extremely immature and has a history of off-field issues. Can be difficult to coach.”
Sure people grow, but I’m not sure I’d like someone like that in the current Bucs locker room.

Straightcash I believe the Ellington signing has to do more with what he can provide to teammates in the classroom more than what he’ll provide on the actual field of play. Same reason I feel Gabbert was signed. As for Crowell,well I’m more excited about possibly adding the Penn State RB Sanders. I like’em young and hungry at that position considering the level physicality at that position. They wanna one day earn a Big deal so the willingness to give up they’re body for the team is greater.

So as of today my guy for the 5th pick in the draft is Ed Oliver. I was on the fence for awhile but after todays results and marrying those up with his tape he would be the perfect compliment to Vita Vea. Just image a front 7 of JPP, Vea and Oliver on the line and David, Nassib, Buccannon and Shaq as LBs!!!!! That would be sweet!!!!

I just did a mock draft on fanspeak, how great would this be? We get a speed demon on the interior d line, a starting RG, a potential starting LB, a 3rd down back, a depth edge rusher, a swing tackle, and productive small school CB with huge up side.

The police admitted they had no case, after lying countless times and claiming they had video proof. Bringing up Kraft is silly at this point.
Besides, all prostitution is considered human trafficking these days. While I don’t support and have never had to resort to paying for what I can easily get for free, Kraft did nothing many men visiting Las Vegas haven’t done.
As far as Schiano, only a fool would turn down such a job…or a man who has a better offer from elsewhere. Don’t be surprised when Schiano suddenly takes a job soon.

Glad you agree Rodney. They try to say years of failure have made them negative. Bull****. We’ve all been in this boat together and I still see real fans that don’t trash the squad daily. You don’t have to be optimistic but these people spend so much time talking **** about the team they supposedly love. How terrible of a life they have.
Not to mention they half of them don’t even understand the game. Dumbest fan base in sports. Makes me sad cuz sometimes night question if these people deserve another ring. Wish there were more like us.

With Schiano it very likely could be that real and troubling stuff will immerge soon on the ongoing civil suits of the young men that attended Penn State University, during the Jerry Sandusky years coaching there, when Schiano was still on staff, and many intial affidavits from a multitude of sources reported that Schiano had knowledge of things surrounding Sandusky and the young men, and allegedly didn’t do squat about it. It’s been out there prior.
Those trials have been continuing for quite a while, some have remained under an NDA, some have not, but we all know how worthless NDA’s can ultimately be, in the TMZ era.
My guess is, Schiano wanted to duck and run the public life after giving an indication by his attorney’s, before some of that involving him might hit the fan….
