“I Believe He Will Go”
February 20th, 2019Just because a former journalist works TV doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to work his contacts.
And former USA Today NFL scribe and current NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo, a Philadelphia native (you may learn the significance of that shortly) has been working his contacts of late and he is of the belief it is only a matter of time before the Bucs release and/or trade malcontent wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
Joe spoke with Garafolo in Atlanta on Super Bowl Opening Night and while Garafolo believes both Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht and new Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians will try to salvage the strained relationship with Jackson, Garafolo, based on information he has, doesn’t believe things can be patched up.
“I believe he will go though I believe the Buccaneers will try to convince him to come back,” Garafolo said. “There is no rush to make a decision. Usually the scouting combine is a good time to have these conversations to happen, and for these things to be discussed and see where both sides are on all issues. So, that storyline will be coming up here.
“Like I mentioned on the air [previously], I think Bruce Arians has an uphill fight to get DeSean to come back to Tampa. I don’t think the [friction between Jackson and the Bucs] is ugly, I’ve been told. It sounds like it is very professional at this point but we will see.
“My guess, based on the information I’ve gotten so far, I think he’s going to be elsewhere in 2019.”
Now the week after the Super Bowl Arians and Jackson were scheduled to have a sitdown. No one outside One Buc Palace seems to know if that sitdown ever took place or what the result was.
Of course, the combine will be held next week in frosty Indianapolis. If schedules from past years are consistent, Licht and Arians will likely talk on Wednesday, though that’s just an educated guess right now. The NFL has yet to release a schedule of what team representatives are talking when.
After all the stunts Jackson has pulled, Joe simply cannot envision him wearing Bucs gear this fall.

Dude is all over the place lolz. It’s not that bad, they’ll try and salvage. Arians wants to work with djax.
Oh. But he’ll be elsewhere is what I’m hearing. Rofl…ok bruh.

You can never have enough players that look good on paper to fill position needs on a team.

Did JPP have his sit-down with BA yet?
February 20th, 2019 at 10:26 am
DJax is under contract – for $10M – and he won’t get that kind of $ anywhere else unless the Bucs can sucker some team into a trade….
The Buccaneers decide whether or not Jackson stays in Tampa Bay.
Why does everyone keep talking like it is up to DJax as to whether he stays or goes – when the Bucs hold all the cards? I don’t get that at all…..
Other than the perceived threat that DJax will cause “trouble” if he is forced to play here in 2019 when he doesn’t want to be here – DJax has ZERO say in the matter!

^ Same reason, Pickgrin, that they act like AB has the Steelers in the same position.
The Steelers, if they really decided to play hard ball, could make AB just sit the F down, NOT trade his ass, and let him rot.

he’ll go to the pats with Hump for a 17th SB in 12 years.
smh

Please..Enough with the..Me, Myself and I..Mr DJ. I’d have him packaged and shipped already. Sometimes even the best of doctors will tell you ……Chemo won’t work, we gotta cut the whole thing out Sir!

Cmon Gruden Gruden May take … Veteran / filthy speed / raiders closer to home. Jackson probably likes raider nation swag.
Gruden wanted to draft for Bucs.
And he took the other crappy Jackson at receiver instead.

all former bucs the choir boy patraol wants run out of town have success while the lowly bucs collect basement titles and meaningless customer service awards…. of course, the bucs have great customer service no other franchise in the NFL welcomes out of towners like bucs do and the team does their part by laying down at home. it’s a visiting teams free Florida vacation with the week off on sunday….. you can’t run talent out of town fast enough and you are so fearful of passion, personality and talent it’s pretty funny to watch….. bucfan rather lose quilty with plenty of excuses than demeand their sorry arse organization learn how to manage talent and personality like consistently contending organizations do.
joe’s definition of malcontent === One who refuses to accept incompetence and losing quietly knowing full well your team has no hope nor chance.

Unless DJax and Winston suddenly develop some extraordinary deep ball chemistry, I don’t know that I really care if he does go.Im good with Evans, Godwin and Hump at WR and OK at TE. I’d rather have a RB than Jackson at this point!
February 20th, 2019 at 12:07 pm
Wishing desean the best of luck where he goes … if the Bucs have a losing season again trust me mike Evans will want to leave too … jameis is garbage … just like McCoy runs off coaches … jameis runs off receivers …. damn shame we are riding with jameis again … can’t win if you don’t have a reliable quarterback

I’m simply on pins & needles as to the fate of Djax……This may be article 183 on the predictable fate of this “malcontent”

“joe’s definition of malcontent === One who refuses to accept incompetence and losing quietly knowing full well your team has no hope nor chance.”
The guy talked his most sh1t after our best team performance/win of the year in 2018. He doesn’t give a f*ck about winning or losing as far as I can tell. That’s not the gripe..
If not for that sh1t I’d not be as anti-Jackson as I am. But he showed his true colors.

Lord Cornelius
glazers have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt they have NO intentions of fielding a consistent winner. They have trained low standard bucfan so well that 500 football for a couple of years and one great year under Gruden constitutes glory years so why would they try??? they don’t because they don’t have to. djax saw through this clown circus of a minor league franchise just like so many others have. this is not about djax this is about an incompetent organization that has never managed talent or personalities well thus they have never contended consistently outside of Gruden’s glory year. djax is just another player with unquestioned talent that regressed and became a malcontent due to lack of organizational leadership. but again with the glazers training bucfan to accept losing with smiles and excuses, there is no reason for them to try.

Dude wants to play with a great qb
Can’t blame him
