“One!”
January 10th, 2019New Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians is known as a risk-taker.
In a sitdown with the local pen and mic club today, Arians dropped his famous “No risk it, no biscuit” line (which he earlier had said he did not get from Joe Namath). This seems to flow right with the mentality of gunslinging America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.
But Arians make it a point to mention just because he likes to take risks means he tolerates turnovers.
Arians was asked if he was OK with Jameis throwing a pick when trying to gun the ball downfield. Arians shot back and replied, “One!”

So funny to see everyone now back on the Jameis bandwagon when 3 months ago people wanted to run him out out of town. Where are all the dumba$$ Big Stick Carriers now??

I hope Bruce Arians can bring out the joy Jamies once had for playing football. Koetter seems to have snuffed out that flame Jamies once had.
It affected his game, even though Jamies doesn’t turn the ball over as much, you can tell he’s still not happy.
Jamies can set records next season
(and no not turnover records)

“Thats a very interesting answer BA replied with…
and he didnt finsih his answer
im amazed that not only is BA and X and O guy but he is analytical and mathematically minded
I believe his total and complete answer was as long as JW throws 3 touchdowns he can throw 1 interception
BA knows percentages and knows that the positive gain (3tds) must overcome the negative (1 int) ”

Not sure how anyone could watch BA’s introductory press conference and not be extremely excited. Weird reading JBF while I can see one of the Joe’s live in the conference lol.
This team really f*cks with my heart lol. I’m all in again. Let’s get this guy a freaking super bowl in the next 2-3 years why not? My favorite points from it:
-He came here because he loves what is in place already in terms of the roster /GM and his ability to bring his entire staff. He believes our organization actually has the trifecta of Ownership/GM/Coach all being on the same page with his plan; along with a franchise QB (sorry haters lol).
-He plans on using OTAs to separate all the young dudes from vets and run 2 separate practices basically. He will have a staff just focusing on the young players so they can get way more reps for faster development and identifying diamonds in the rough. I don’t think any past coaches did this (?).
-On scheme in general “My scheme is our players”
-On defensive scheme “We’re going to attack” (proceeds to drop defensive alignment knowledge/etc that Koetter never could go into detail on even if he tried). “We’re going to do what our players do best”
-He said he took a lot of pride in developing his staff for the future and building a coaching tree. He was super high on Byron Leftwich as an up and coming coach. That’s the guy to watch as his successor at this point IMO – especially knowing that he’ll be the OC.
I really really planned on having no optimism for next year but this is too much to take lol

I am not saying DK was dumb, he obviously is a bright guy and a multi-millionaire as well.
But, he doesn’t hold a candle to BA, a far superior intellect shines through immediately.
This is gonna be fun!!!

buddy- Not a hater by any means but, was there a choice?
Lord C- I’m with you brother. While I still have Buc Stockholm Syndrome, I can’t help but smile when I hear this guy!

This pimp MF gets it. He knows the kind of offense he runs. He has already factored into the equation that his QB will throw one pick a game. Anything beyond that the MF will be on the accountability sheet real quick.

I agree as long as the joy is kept under control. His MO is to be so psyched up that he couldn’t think straight, prompting me last year to suggest a nice pre-game Xanax. I think the team took me up on the idea, but they need to cut his dose in half, apparently! LOL
January 10th, 2019 at 4:47 pm
So he tolerates turn-overs? If you need someone to proof read you’re stuff i’d be happy to help.

I understand old memories die hard. Leftwich still seems to bring out some fear in our posters because the end of his career here was less than outstanding.
But coaching is not the same as playing. Many mediocre players have become excellent coaches. I have an off the wall theory that mediocre players make better coaches than the true stars because they know how much work it takes. It comes a lot easier for some great athletes.
BTW if we’re going to judge our coaches on their playing careers Bucco Bruce only started one year at VA Tech as a senior when he was a wishbone QB for the Hokies. Does anybody here expect BA to break out the wishbone for JW? LOL

Is the equipment staff still there though? The real reason we lost, right buddy?

The visual of Al Pacino saying that has been stuck in my head lol
January 10th, 2019 at 6:23 pm
Watched the PC Joe and it was someone in the media that dropped the “no risk it, no biscuit” line, not Bruce.
BucsFan#7423…Agreed. Jameis does want to win and Koetter wasn’t giving him that opportunity. Seen a lot of depressed Jameis post game interviews. Arians is going to be the second coming of Jimbo at FSU for Jameis. Get ready to party.

Bucs will be the first team in NFL history to play a home Super Bowl!!!!! Mark the tape!!!
January 10th, 2019 at 7:51 pm
I think it means “I’ll give you.one pick per game before your ass is mine!!!!!”
This is going to.ve a thing of Beauty. I am afraid the defense will be gutted but if there is a guy that can lure good players to come to Tampa without over paying for them uts Arians. Players want to play for him.
Im geeked man, I juat want to get frozen and woken uo once in April , then frozen and woken up in September.

Man, would that be special, or what?

I just hope it Was all Dirk’s fault like so many of you are suggesting. Vick was a “Coach killer” I hope Jammis isn’t one as well.
January 10th, 2019 at 11:06 pm
Kobe you ain’t Faken
A 3td/1int game wins over a 1td/3int game, almost always. Let’s hope we find ourselves on the winning side almost always next year.
January 11th, 2019 at 10:08 am
I’m not going to say BA is smarter than Koetter as some might suggest but BA has a lot more experience.

Can’t help but think that’s a bit of a reach…
We have the trifecta? Ownership? GM? This is new hire speak. There aren’t many here who have been extolling the virtues of our GM and Ownership much lately. Licht is still Licht.
We all should cool our jets a little, it’s been 48 hours. After watching “AZ Cardinals, All or nothing” my main takeaway was it’s not hard to believe Licht is a doofus, if he was produced by those two knuckleheads, Bidwill and Keim.
