Joe wonders what Jim Harbaugh would think of the Buccaneers’ offensive line?
We’ll likely never know, but a new report suggests Team Glazer might be asking soon.
Joe recommends the video below from NBC Sports.
Ex-Bucs QB Chris Simms explains in detail that an NFL team with an obvious coaching vacancy upcoming, not Green Bay or Cleveland, is preparing to make a run at Harbaugh to pry him out of the University of Michigan. Co-host Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com also explains what he’s heard on the chasing-Harbaugh front.
Of course, Harbaugh was wildly successful with the 49ers, reaching three NFC championship games and one Super Bowl in just four seasons.
Joe would love to see what Harbaugh would do with America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston. And Joe would think if Harbaugh did somehow come to Tampa, he’d also select at least one QB in the 2019 NFL Draft, which could make for an especially entertaining August.

Hiring Harbs would be so funny that guy is suck a major micro-manager. He would drive TEAM GLAZER crazy cause he would do the opposite of what they would want. Harbaugh would be great here in Tampa and give him total control of team and personnel moves…bucs far away from having players harbaugh needs to be successful currently on this roster BUT like buddy says he will flip this roster quickly and get it back to a tough out during the season

Michigan fan here… Highly unlikely this happens, Jim has the keys to the city along with being one of the top paid coaches not just in college but the NFL. Heck, his contract might be top 5 money in NFL as it already stands. Harbough is a true “Michigan man”.
His teams pride themselves of running the ball, excellent defense and NOT TURNING THE FOOTBALL OVER. I doubt Winston would last long if Jim Harbough came to town…
Of all the coaches out there IMO Jim would be one of the strongest. Seems to get the most out of his players no matter where he goes. Folks are quick to bash Harbough for Michigan losing to OSU every year but those same folks forget how bad of shape we were in prior to his arrival. Things are definitely on the up and up.

Dude got a ton of bad press early after his spring break escapades of 1986 came out and since then the Lions have kind of been ignored despite their pathetic play throughout the season though occasionally someone out of the Detroit Free Press will say that Patricia appears to be a mistake…….

JOHN Harbaugh.
Jim’s nature is way too grinding, to make for a cohesive organization and locker room. Plus, JOHN has a much fiercer defensive slant to his philosophy, which is EXACTLY what the Bucs currently need, and going forward. Monken can interview as OC, along with other candidates. JOHN is much more charismatic as a leader to coaches, players, owners, and fan base.
Would like the Glazers to go make it happen, as it would immediately restore some comprehensive organizational credibility to the Bucs.

DB55- I love the idea of Bruce Arians coming here. The only issue is that I don’t think if he returns, he returns as a coach. He’s had some health issues and his family was trying to pry him from coaching before.
Arians, of anybody out there, would get the best from Jameis, IMO.
AND, Rex Ryan?! I love Rex. I mean he is definitely a football guy. Does he still have coaching “chops” though?

As far as Jim Harbaugh… i am torn. Intriguing as hell and what he did with the 49ers was magical. What scares me is that by all accounts he is impossible to work with. Maybe he would be better in that area, the 2nd time around? — i do believe he would be great for Jameis, as a former NFL QB. He would teach him how to be better… but without being so terrified to throw a pick that he is losing his effectiveness. (Which is exactly what is going on with JW right now)

The 49ers had been down for years before harbaugh took over. They had 8 consecutive non-wining seasons and no playoffs.
Sounds familiar.
Football people like Jim Harbaugh, unlike the local goobers, see and understand the skill set Jameis has and his potential.
Thus, he may very well be interested and feels he can field a super bowl contender for years around JW.
