Jameis Blames Self
December 16th, 2018There is but one person at fault for the loss today said America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.
And that man was the guy doing the talking: Jameis.
Talking on the Bucs radio network after the game, Jameis told Bucs sideline reporter T.J. Rives he’s the culprit.
“You can’t turn the ball over in your own territory,” Jameis said.
Of course, Jameis was talking about his lone interception that came in the fourth quarter. It sure didn’t help and it was not a good pass by Jameis but Joe credits cornerback Marlon Humphrey the most. He boxed out Bucs receiver Mike Evans in order to get perfect position to make the play on the ball.
Joe will have a bit later what the real culprit was.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:07 pm
He said the same BS last week. Haha. He sucks. He probably said the same things in year one.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:10 pm
Of course that’s what leaders do!
December 16th, 2018 at 4:10 pm
Play calling and having guys run routes in the same vicinity. I’m just done with this coach. He doesn’t get these guys prepared and most seem like they are just going through the motions. It’s just been a real long sad Buc life!
December 16th, 2018 at 4:11 pm
Man, he played a solid solid game. Yea the wet ball pick was not a great play. But EVERY QB has those. All in all I thought it was a solid game. He was let down by Godwin (again) and the receivers in general.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:12 pm
I should have guessed season is over would be here to comment. I know you love Jameis! You can count on him being back next season with the Bucs!
December 16th, 2018 at 4:12 pm
Jameis
Keep your head out for ndog. I think he is slightly obsessed with you.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:12 pm
He played a really solid game. Yea the wet ball pick was unfortunate. But EVERY QB has those. I thought he played really really well. He was let down by Godwin (again) and the receivers in general
December 16th, 2018 at 4:13 pm
One legit TO in four games, and even this TO was either Evans losing his footing and not able to turn around or them not on the same page, in either case it wasn’t a bad throw – as in he didn’t miss him.
This is generic sports talk, when you’re the QB you take the blame for everything, that’s just the way it is.
Winston was OK today. His WR’s dropped a ton of balls, he had Evans for a TD in the endzone and Evans is literally tackled way before the ball gets there and the refs just shrug their shoulders.
But considering this is a top defense, on the road, on a really wet rainy day, I’m just happy it wasn’t a bad day, because I thought that would be what we’d get today.
Anyone bagging on Winston today is a d-bag and would do the world a favor by getting in their car and driving into a bridge embankment doing about 70mph.
God bless.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:13 pm
Good..we have reached a consensus …
December 16th, 2018 at 4:13 pm
Leader? Leaders don’t get suspended four games to sink the season before it begins. Leaders don’t poke CBs in the back of the head out of frustration from being terrible. Leaders don’t head butt other players out of frustration from being terrible. Leaders don’t run front office members over on the sideline out of frustration from being terrible. Leaders don’t finish in the gutter for four years in a row without improving.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:15 pm
I got a box of tissues for you Winstopologists to have a cry baby pity party with America’s Franchise Quarterback. The guys plays average and yall talk like he lit it up. No he did not. He was average, as he always is.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:16 pm
Should blame Dirk for stabbing Lovie in the back. Then he hired his idiot friend to be a snitch equipment manager and report back to him all the things players are doing in the locker room. Players don’t like or trust the current support staff the everyday work environment is problem.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:16 pm
Spot on Munch.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:16 pm
Solid game….I think not…..
He was under 50%…..and yes, there were some drops…..but there were passes that were off and passes that shouldn’t have been thrown.
Jameis had zero yards scrambling…
The playcalling in the red zone was bad again and Jameis choked….again.
We lost this game because we couldn’t stop the run and didn’t maximize our red zone appearances.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:17 pm
I am not, for a change, going to rant about JW. I just want a simple yes or no. Is he worth 20 million on the 2019 cap next season?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:17 pm
That pass was far enough behind Evans, that Evans stopped running in the direction of his route before the ball got there. Crediting Humphrey is to deflect responsibility for an inaccurate throw.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:17 pm
Look girls this guy is NOT a franchise QB. HE he NOT won a big game in 4 years. He has LOSER tattooed on his forehead!
December 16th, 2018 at 4:18 pm
This was a winnable game; just like last week, too. Franchise QBs win these kind of games. We don’t have a franchise QB on the roster.
Additionally, #2 offense my arse.
Let the housecleaning begin, but remember Harbaugh won’t be available. He knows how to make chicken salad out of chicken crap. All Koetter/JayMiss know how to do is crap on their fans.
Peace, out
December 16th, 2018 at 4:18 pm
Yes Duke yes.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:18 pm
Did Jamies turn the ball over???
Isn’t that normal?
Go Bucs!!!!
December 16th, 2018 at 4:19 pm
JW simply can’t read defenses. The pick was his fault and his alone. He didn’t make any excuses so neither should you.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:19 pm
“Its time for a mutual split for both parties…
Joel Segal call around and lets get the hell out of here”
Kobe Faker
December 16th, 2018 at 4:20 pm
That’s right NPR nevermind not having the ball cause your defense sucks out loud or dropped passed all over the place the QB should win no matter what. Dude how stupid can you sound?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:20 pm
What’s the excuse for losing this week. Oh Jamis interception is to fault for another loss. I am not a big Jamis fan but I can see why he get frustrated you come from Florida state where he turned the ball over a lot but florida state still won a lot of games and why, he had a supportin g staff starting with the coaching staff. In the nfl you have to make adjustments at the half doesn’t seem that the bucs staff make those adjustments
December 16th, 2018 at 4:21 pm
Oh and Joe saying defender”boxed Evans out” reveals just how stupid one Joe is!
December 16th, 2018 at 4:22 pm
Mr. Magoo folded in the red zone once again. He was the reason they lost this game. The excuses have all been used up. If anyone needed these last six game to see what you have in Winston you just saw what everyone has seen for the last four years. Not enough.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:22 pm
Duke Silver, the answer is yes! What are you proposing, start with an untested QB in the draft or sign some backup from another team”? Our attempt at that with Fitzpatrick worked out so well. Winston may not be elite, but he’s the least of this team’s worries. We need to fix the right side of the O-line, get a running back and get some good D-backs in the draft.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:23 pm
It’s great when you have a Heisman winner to lead your team to victory. Oh, wait…we don’t.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:23 pm
Oh my goodness the QB is not perfect he must go, he must complete every ball and never turn the ball over, ever. I mean the only way to win is for the QB to play absolutely perfect football for every second. You people are ridiculous.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:23 pm
The OPI call on Evans was complete BS…….he is a receiver and he has a right to run his route……he wasn’t throwing a block……BS This is happening to us every game….
December 16th, 2018 at 4:23 pm
dirk may get canned next week
December 16th, 2018 at 4:24 pm
Winston will be back next week and next year so all you Winston muppet babies can come back and get some more beat downs!!Stupiest fan base by far.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:24 pm
So Season if no one is open in the red zone what do you want him to do? Serious question?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:25 pm
Winston can’t even win when the pressure is off. Just imagine in a real game.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:27 pm
NDog- if Winston threw on time(which he doesn’t, he holds the ball too long) there are windows
December 16th, 2018 at 4:28 pm
Ndog…..Winston cannot do what he did on that 3rd&2 before halftime.
Very bad decision by Winston
December 16th, 2018 at 4:28 pm
I think a lot of these anti Winston fans are cockolds and he’s a BBC.
Big Black Cornerstone………………….
December 16th, 2018 at 4:29 pm
Ndog
He is perfect in your eyes. We get it.
Wow. I mean you are a grown man right ?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:29 pm
So you saw someone open or are you just making crap up like usual?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:30 pm
@Rod Munch … “Anyone bagging on Winston today is a d-bag and would do the world a favor by getting in their car and driving into a bridge embankment doing about 70mph.
God bless.”
Really Rod? Wishing someone harm simply because they don’t agree with you about a football game? You win the ‘Dumbest Comment of the Day’ award. Nah, make that ‘Dumbest Comment of the Year’ award.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:30 pm
I’ve been telling you the team has not quit…yeah there are talent problems on the roster that the coaches are trying to worked around…..but Jameis is about to wrap up 4 years of starting as a NFL QB and I ain’t seeing much more than his first year….he is horribly inconsistent and seems to do just enough to keep the hope alive….
Keep L&K…bring Jameis back, well that is a given when the gave him his 20….(unless they can trade him )…..boys it i time to draft a QB with the 1st pick next year and let it sort itself out by this time next year..
December 16th, 2018 at 4:32 pm
All Winstopologists can do is attack the fans. They are so used to losing they are trying to sell the fan base that it is normal to live in the gutter.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:33 pm
Jamies played well against arguably the best defense in the NFL
Baltimore is great in areas where the Bucs are awful—-
Special teams, clock management, defense, pre snap penalties, offensive line and running the football.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:35 pm
DJax is looking smarter all the time….
December 16th, 2018 at 4:36 pm
Can’t wait to see what Jameis can do once he has a HC who actually knows how to scheme guys open.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:37 pm
No I don’t think Jameis is perfect I am just not an idiot, and think us sucking is his fault when it’s not.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:38 pm
No one in their right mind thought that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were going to win today BEFORE the game started. Why? Because the Baltimore Ravens are a better TEAM than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Stupid fan base who thinks if the QB doesn’t lead them to 16-0 they should just get a new QB. Stupiest fan base in the country bar none. Must be Florida education system.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:40 pm
Jay-Miss is the same QB as he was four years ago. It’s not going to get better. This team cannot, at any point, give him the $120+ million dollar contract. He’ll never earn that.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:40 pm
Winston played bad last week and was expected to rebound. It’s what good QBs do.
Abbondoning the run game made it harder for Winston today but he still played a poor game. That is not good enough. Especially for the way this team was built to win.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:40 pm
A few people have already commented on this already but 100% agree
The great elite qbs put their team on their back and win the close games . The Bucs have been in a ton of close games over the last few years. I think joe buc posted Koetter record in those close games (within 7 pts which wasn’t good.
Of course the Jameis messiah cult will blame everyone but Jameis. They will blame Koetter , defense , running game, oline , weather , drops blah blah blah
What’s funny is that you give Jameis all the credit when he wins a close game.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:43 pm
@Bird,
I know you won’t answer but I’ll ask anyway.
Why is Aaron Rodgers 5-8-1?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:43 pm
Some times I feel like I hope Tampa move on from him so these people will be happy. He go win some where else and yall will have to blame some one else. Coaching and defense and no running game have hurt Jamies and this team.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:45 pm
Another part to today’s game was how good the Ravens coverage was. They beat our passing weapons today. This is supposyed to be our greatest strength.
We truely are a team with no identity. I expected our receivers to come out of the half with intensity and focus.
I’m coming to the conclusion that our receiving core has been vastly overrated.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:48 pm
Hey Bird……I’m blaming all of it….except the rain part. And yes, QB is a big part of it. Our team is built to win with good QB play.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:48 pm
I just heard on the radio…Jamyth’s 5th year option has not been picked up by the G’Boyz….my mistake I thought he was…..We are FREE !..we are FREE !….absolutely don’t give him the 20 million one year….maybe give him another 3 year middle of the QB pack salary……BUT DRAFT and QB with the 1st pick
December 16th, 2018 at 4:49 pm
Dapostman is just a weak individual. Why not us? What the hell did we draft Winston for if not for these kind of games? No one cares how good Baltimore is. We were the No. 1 offense, right? It is year four and we are in the gutter. Winston just got spanked by a greenhorn rookie with the season on the line. Both played in the same conditions. Who looked like they played with a sense of urgency?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:51 pm
Dapostman
Why wouldn’t I answer ? It’s funny that you even think I am scared of your comment. Like your right . People are entitled to their opinion.
Do you know that green bay was using a wide receiver at running back and all 3 of their elite receivers have been injured most of the year. And the oline is inconsistent like ours.
Pretty funny that you are comparing Jameis to Rodgers. I mean that’s hilarious. Aaron would put up 50 with our weapons on offense.
You are just like the rest that continue to compare Jameis to manning and Favre and elway and Rodgers. Yet Jameis can’t win the close games. He is average qb. That’s it.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:55 pm
Bucs ‘are who we thought they were’ today. Defense hasn’t been able to effectively handle the run for the last 8 games … today was simply an extension of that. Ravens used the run to control the clock (over 37 mins TOP to less than 23 mins TOP for the Bucs). Bucs high-powered (?) #2 offense (ya right) shat the bed against the high-powered Baltimore defense. Ravens ran 74 plays to the Bucs 47 plays … at a time when our defense needed our offense to step up and give them time to breathe, Bucs offense had no answers. And please, don’t blame it on ‘no running game’ … Barber had 85 yds on 19 carries (4.5 YPG average is respectable). Jameis’ passing 13-of-25 for 157 yds & 1 INT didn’t cut it. Our receivers getting very little separation certainly didn’t help. Sure do miss OJ (probably DJax too) in terms of being able to stretch the field.
Bucs defenders making tackles today included (1) Andrew Adams; (2) Riley Bullough; (3) Josh Shaw; (4) Devante Bond; (5) Isaiah Johnson; (6) Carl Nassib; (7) Javien Elliott … none of whom were on the roster (or dressed if they were) for the first game of the season. Kudos to Mark Duffner for even showing up today to be the DC. And of note, when the other team runs all over you and your DLine rookie (Vita Vea … 6 solo tackles; 3 assists) has as many tackles as the REST of your DLine COMBINED (6 solo; 4 assists) you know things didn’t go well.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:59 pm
@Season,
We drafted Winston because we were 2-14 the year before. Which means you had 2-14 talent. The talent out there today wasn’t much better than that 2-14 talent. A weak person like yourself with your Florida education can’t comprehend that. We get it every time you morons post that Winston didn’t lead YOU to victory. What a pathetic life you must lead.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:01 pm
Yes, you Winstopologists always attack the fans. We get it. I wouldn’t know how to defend poor play either.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:01 pm
Dapostman
Why you mad bro?
December 16th, 2018 at 5:01 pm
It’s pretty clear Jameis wants out of this sorry franchise and crappy fanbase. Good on you JW3.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:05 pm
@Bird,
I see reading comprehension is not your strong suit. I never compared Winston to Rodgers only pointing out that as the great Aaron Rodgers he’s not WINNING this year. Love your excuses for Rodgers though.
Just proves the point that you and many others already have BIAS ingrained in you. You make excuses for Rodgers but it’s Winston’s fault that his WR’s drop passes, his running game has virtually been non existent and his OL is trash.
Stupidest fan base by far. Florida education.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:06 pm
Defense Rules – Why am I not allowed to be happy, what do you have against me? I’m not calling for anyone else to harm them, I’m just saying the world would be a better place without them, so if they’d kindly take care of that issue themselves I’d appreciate it.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:08 pm
And by the way I think Jamies is playing not to make a mistake. He need to play his game and for get what the haters say . The refs should have call more holding calls and pass interference against the ravens but they didn’t. The face mask was done right in front of a ref and he was not going to throw the flag it took another ref to do it so
December 16th, 2018 at 5:09 pm
@Rod,
The problem is if Winston doesn’t lead these fans to victory their LIFE is shot. These folks have no life but Buc football. It’s pathetic actually that 3 hours every Sunday that’s how they view their self worth and if Winston doesn’t lead them to victory he’s a BUM. Plain to see as the nose on someones face. Pathetic.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:11 pm
Man, you Jay Miss fanboys are acting like the Ravens are the same defensive group when Dilfer won a Super Bowl. They are not, but our #1 overall draft pick has not worked out and will not work out here or anywhere else. He’s simply not that good!
December 16th, 2018 at 5:11 pm
Da I think so postman
Rodgers record 100-55-1
Jameis. 21-31
OT making excuses for Rodgers. I am a buc fan and season ticket holder from Orlando. Jameis is average and deserves blame just like the rest. That’s my opinion.
You must have Harvard education. You are so smart. Smartest poster on here. I want you to know that. I love the people that attack others and call them Morons. I mean wow. Dapostman is the bestest . Sorry – not smart like you bro
December 16th, 2018 at 5:12 pm
Lmao yeah I called it when I said it to my peoples … they will blame the pick on the wet conditions lmfao … y’all dumb
December 16th, 2018 at 5:13 pm
I want everyone to know dapostman has a life and is super smart
The best
December 16th, 2018 at 5:14 pm
We lost because of the turnover jameis had and because the coach decided to go for it in field goal range down 8 would have made it 5 with close to 8 mins to go
December 16th, 2018 at 5:16 pm
Alvin, Jameis will probably win a Super Bowl or three, meanwhile the Bucs will be lucky to survive 3 more years before the team is moved to London. Cheerio.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:17 pm
We do have dumb fans.
You are dumb if you think the Bucs lost this game because of the QB play.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:17 pm
If the rumors are true, Jameis will be working for Elway next year, playing for a team that actually has a defense, a running game, and good fans.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:27 pm
Yes he’s worth 20 million for next season with the Bucs and a different coaching staff.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:39 pm
He’s just above average. Still better than some.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:40 pm
Jamies is definitely better than Mark Sanchez
December 16th, 2018 at 5:41 pm
@Bird,
excuses, excuses, excuses. What else ya got wonder boy?
December 16th, 2018 at 5:43 pm
Can you imagine how good Lamar Jackson will be in 4 years……
December 16th, 2018 at 5:52 pm
Truth is he’s not who we thought he would be as a #1 pick
He can be good when surrounded by a lot of talent and a good d but the Bucs haven’t done that
December 16th, 2018 at 5:52 pm
Jamoist is now 21-31 as a starter. Around a 40 percent winning percentage. When will this nightmare be over???? The QB, Coach, and GM need to be fired immediately following the week 17 loss. Please let that be the end of the disastrous 1st overall draft pick.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:54 pm
Ha ha Lamar Jackson will be a bust
December 16th, 2018 at 5:58 pm
SilverBuc, I have the same chance of being the QB in 3 Super Bowls as Jay Miss. However, if you mean 3 crotch grabs, you may be right!
December 16th, 2018 at 6:01 pm
Jameis isn’t the only problem on this team….but I’m sorry, I just don’t see him as anything but a mid-level QB at best. After 50+ games, I think we’ve seen what he is, and what he isn’t.
He’s nowhere near the Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Rothlesberger, Ryan, Rivers, Mahomes level…
He’s not in the Luck, Wentz, Wilson, Newton, Stafford, Manning, Goff, Carr, Alex Smith level…
Would I take Jameis over Deshaun Watson? No. Dak Prescott? No. Baker Mayfield? No.
He’s somewhere in the Tannehil, Dalton, Turbisky, Cousins, Darnold, Allen, Rosen, Garrapolo, Mariota level. That puts him somewhere in the 20 – 30 range of NFL QBs. That’s disappointing for a guy taken #1 overall 4 seasons ago.
December 16th, 2018 at 6:03 pm
LOL! The same idiots so worried about the Glazers spending $20m on Winston are the same idiots who said the Glazers are cheap and would save a penny anyway they could.
There’s a reason the Winston haters aren’t taken seriously.
December 16th, 2018 at 6:04 pm
It was a total team loss today, but Winston was a part of it.
Two weeks in a row now that Winston could have taken the team on his back and won a close game, but he could not.
Bucs need to drop Licht, Koetter and Winston, and let him go be a coach killing bust somewhere else
December 16th, 2018 at 6:12 pm
Defense Rules – how dare you bring levity to this conversation!!!
This offense crapped the bed again, and as always it’s never the QBs fault. Today was classic “Good Jameis /Bad Jameis”!
I’m the end, the offense didn’t get it done…..again!
December 16th, 2018 at 6:12 pm
He’s not in the Luck, Wentz, Wilson, Newton, Stafford, Manning, Goff, Carr, Alex Smith level…
Jameis is better than Newton, better than Eli, better than Carr, better than Smith and while Goff is playing better he also had the reigning MVP of the league as his running back. I would also take him over Ryan but I will give you the rest are playing better.
December 16th, 2018 at 6:24 pm
13/25 157 yards 0 TD 1 int <<<—– that's sad
December 16th, 2018 at 6:33 pm
Jamies ain’t going no where so yall can hang that up . Yall will for ever blame him so it doesn’t matter if you have facts with this fan base. But let me say this if we draft a rookie next year we are still going to lose. Look at every team with a rookie this year all but 1 is playing for a playoff spot and he is on the number 1 scoring defense and his coach is a good coach. I heard something yesterday. I heard Ray Lewis say and the national media say that they still hold the defense to a high standard to keep being a dominant defense rather than a great offense. We need to stop trying to be like every body else crying over a quarterback and go back to who we are and that’s a great defense and good running game and just win games. For get throwing for 4000 yards. We have a good enough quarterback that can win games let him be his self. Jamies is playing not to make a mistake that’s all what’s wrong with him now . Last year he would have scored every time today but he is holding back trying not to make a mistake and stead of just playing football. It’s time now keep Jamies and let’s go back to being the bucs again defense and running game we will win. Go bucs……
December 16th, 2018 at 6:41 pm
Ndog….I would respectfully (because I hate all the name calling and divisiveness this subject seems to bring up….kind of like our current political climate…SERIOUSLY, some of you are wishing physical harm to those who don’t agree with you? Shame on you!) disagree with your statement.
Cam Newton has proven he can play at an MVP level in this league. Eli Manning has taken 2 Giants teams to Super Bowl wins. Alex Smith has nearly twice as many TDs as he does turnovers over his career. And Derek Carr has 122 TDs vs only 52 INTs in his brief career.
I’m not saying Jameis is a bum. I’m saying he has been somewhat disappointing on the field…and at times a distraction off it….and I’m not sure he will ever be more than what he is now. If it was my decision to make, I would seriously consider drafting another QB if there was one that I liked. As for next year, I would probably pick up Winston’s option and decide what to do with him after drafting another guy.
December 16th, 2018 at 6:56 pm
Jamies can’t score 21 points without turning the ball over
December 16th, 2018 at 7:02 pm
Alright dapostmum, what the deal w the Florida education comment?if .you exposed ur little mind ..cheap shot all u got to defend jmiss..u do realize majority of people here from somewhere else…you and ur attitude / badmouthing set a low bar for transplants like you.
December 16th, 2018 at 7:11 pm
O and change the uniform back to the 2000s . 1999 Elie had a good defense and again look at who was the coach. Every body yall named look who’s coaching them. That’s the real problem on this team losing. And Elie has never been a real good quarterback he just kept getting passes and more chances that’s it but Elie has led the league in ints a few times but they just kept giving him passes for it . Jamies never gets a pass for nothing. How many times do the national media bring up our 32 rank defense or our 29 rank running game ? They never have since he came to the bucs. And look at the passes that Andrew Luck got when his team was bad . They let everyone know how bad his line was and running game even when he had a 1000 yards rusher. Jamies is 24 let him grow. Go get a defense.
December 16th, 2018 at 7:36 pm
@jeagean99- how right you are sir. Don’t worry about Ndog. He has a crush on Winston that clouds his objectivity. Winston is a bottom third of the NFL QB.
December 16th, 2018 at 8:05 pm
I’m sorry, but this team has so many problems. A single interception is but one of many things that we need to worry about.
December 16th, 2018 at 8:32 pm
Dapostman
“Why is Rodgers 5-8?”
I can’t find a team named Rodgers, Canadian development league ?
Oh, yeah…Green Bay Packers….
“reading comprehension is not your strong suit”
Perhaps if your sentences were more accurate and free of punctuation errors, Bird wouldn’t have issues with, what you state is , reading comprehension .
In fact, it’s not comprehension it’s interpretation. He’s having to overlook what you wrote and focus on what you meant.
He may have comprehension issues but someone who is claiming their intellectual and educational superiority should be able and willing to “write down” for the end user. Or maybe , not use a question mark at the end of a sentence when in fact it wasn’t a question but rather a statement. FYI, a statement can end with a period or exclamation mark.
Then you attack Florida’s Education system and the population of the State.
Frankly, there’s so much wrong with the idea that it’s impossible for an intelligent and educated person to say, yet alone think. But it’s inclusion into what is little more than a differing opinion about sports is not only bad etiquette, it’s admitting defeat on the content of your opinion. Defaulting to triangulation is what rats do when cornered. Daratman….

This isn’t the organization with the smarts to trade up for a player like mahomes . So they can get rid of a Winston but you think they know who to draft instead? Winston isn’t the first problem that needs to be corrected let that decision be made by someone who knows what they are doing

When evaluating Jameis ask yourselves this, has this staff improved anyone on this team? Or have they put their players in the best position to win? If the answer to those questions are no then why would we think they have helped Jameis at all? Who has Dirk developed again, how about Monken, what about the QB coach? Have we seen Donovan Smith develop, or Beneoch, or Hargraves, or Justin Evans, or Brate, or Kwon? You see it’s not always the players guys the coaching staff flat sucks. Is Jameis or any other player perfect no, but he had drive, great arm talent, leadership, accuracy and mobility. He problem is poor decisions at times and getting locked into the presnap read at times. Those are coaching items that this staff simply hasn’t helped him with. Just like haven’t fixed Donovan Smith lunging, or Kwon’s over persuit, or McCoy’s shooting a gap and creating a huge hole, or Beneoc’s everything. You don’t throw away a talented player like Jameis. But most of you want to cause you clearly hate him no matter what he does. I just look at things logically and know that you cannot blame him for this team losing when our defense flat sucks, our kicking game flat sucks and outside of today our running game flat sucks. You people are literally expecting him to do what has never been done in the history of the league which is win games by himself. So if you are waiting for him or anyone else to do that good luck.

@D1QB,
Maybe you can take your shot at why does Rodgers, the QB of the Packers have a 5-8-1 record? I’ll wait.

Dapostman,
The Bucs fans posting here, myself included, don’t criticism him because he doesn’t win every game… we criticize him because he SUCKS as a starting NFL QB.
He has a below average completion percentage and ranks as one of the worst high turnover QBs in the league. He has not been able to consistently win at the pro level.
He makes bad decisions, lacks an accurate deep ball, and appears to have a low football IQ with some of his decision making.
The Jameis Winston 4-Year Experimentt has FAILED and it’s time for this team to go in another direction.

I blame the NFL for scheduling tough teams for us to face. Is there not a D league we can schedule.

Damn, the Winston knob slobberers are butthurt. He had a crappy day…again…in his 4th season. And there are 12+ QBs that are going to throw for over 4000 yds. Tired of seeing that being thrown out over and over about JW…everyone is throwing for 4000 yds these days.
He is so worried about making a turnover he looks terrible. He has mentally neutered himself. He’s just not a good QB. He’s average at best and that’s with a ton of weapons.

Some guys here are making points then failing to connect the dots.
I think it’s absurd to elevate JW at this point….but I do not totally write him off yet either. He may be great…he may be awful…if we look at the last four years a more rational guess would be that he is average.
Jeagan did a great job of comparison and slotted JW very fairly IMO. JW has been average for four years…some high spots some low spots. Here is where guys are missing the point.
20 million is the AVERAGE salary for NFL QB’s these days. It’s probably exactly what JW deserves and what we can afford. I wouldn’t want any length to it though….an absolute prove it contract.
