Big fan of Browns’ castoff.
It seems Bucs defensive lineman Carl Nassib has a new friend.
And this is what you call a friend in high places. And that would be no less a public figure than Mike Florio-arguing, L.L. Bean-wearing, Second Amendment abolitionist, parrot-insensitive, chewing-with-his-mouth-open, soup-gulping, California train-romancing, anti-football proliferation, outhouse-admiring, airline-napping, steerage-flying, Yogi Berra-worshiping, urinal picture-taking, video game-playing, Taylor Swift-listening, pickpocket-thwarting, Bucs-uniform-frowning, Allie-LaForce-smitten, Big-Ten-Network-hating, pedestrian-bumping, olive oil-lapping, popcorn-munching, coffee-slurping, fried-chicken-eating, oatmeal-loving, circle-jerking, craft beer-chugging, cricket-watching, scone-loathing, college football-naïve, baseball-box-score-reading, NPR-honk, filthy-hotel-staying, fight-instigating, barista-training social activist Peter King, star of NBC Sports fame.
In his weekly column this morning, King scolded the Browns for giving up on Nassib.
Why did the Browns cut Carl Nassib? Are you telling me they’ve got four better pass-rushers than Nassib? I call crappola on that.
Well, one team’s crap is another team’s ribeye steak. Nassib, through eight games, has three sacks. Given the standard Bucs fans are conditioned to, set by the Bucs organization in the post-Chucky era, three sacks through eight games is like the Bucs have Reggie White on the roster.
At least Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht FINALLY broke down and got this sorry organization a pass rusher last spring when he stole Jason Pierre-Paul from the Giants for a third-round pick.
That’s what Joe calls some general managing.

Is it just me or does the fault with this team lie more in Lichts hand then dirk, honestly think dorks a decent coach just Jason tried to get to cutesy at times instead of really addressing the needs. Yeah we got talent but that’s not gonna cut it when you don’t qualify deth behind it

Watch the replay of the Samuels TD reverse. If Nassib had hustled he could of had the tackle. Same goes for Vea.

Draft Misses: Hargreeves, Spence, Aguayo, MJ Stewart, McNichols, Kadeem Edwards, Kevin Pamphile, Kenny Bell, Kaelin Clay, Ryan Smith, Beneoch, Devonte Bond, Noah Spence… don’t think it’s too early to call Ronald Jones II a miss, I think we can add Jameis Winston to the list as well.

Licht. The man who has drafted 3 Dlineman in his ENTIRE tenure. Spence- an undersized DE, Stevie T- a 7th round 350 lbs DT, and vita another oversized DT.
Licht- the man who drafts a qb that throws picks, and surrounds him with 6 pass catchers and no running game forcing that qb to throw 40+ times a game. Always trailing due to a terrible defense. Bravo.
The guy has stimulated the economy with more glazer money than any GM. Find me a good signing not named Brent Grimes. His drafts are brutal.

Vea might not of got him but I watch vea fly down the field n almost save a touchdown that nassib gave up on 15 yards back. Vea got a motor on him for a big man. I like nassib but he gave up on that play

Spicoli is spot on! I would only add all the FA blunders to Licht’s sorry resume. First order of business is to get rid of Licht and get a real football operations guy this season to give the organization a head start.

Hill looks like a franchise 3-4 NT
Can the Bucs secondary coaches develop these guys for the NFL?

Spicoli – Ronald McDonald Jones is definitely a bust when one considers when/where he was drafted. We drafted a Running back in the 2nd round who cannot catch, block, or run. That’s the very definition of a bust.

ChanEpic – I agree, usually with RB they either have it or they don’t. There aren’t too many late bloomers at that position. I would just throw in the whole 2016 & 2014 (other than ME13) draft class as a bust.

Not calling ROJO a bust yet, look at the Colts Marlon Mack, in his second year he has had a couple of 100 yard gains, first year he was invisible

rrsq – To each their own but I’ve seen NOTHING out of that guy worth picking in the 4th round let alone the 2nd. If he were a 4th-5th-6th rounder I’d be with you. And hold most of my anger for Licht because he picked the 2nd rounder with 5th rounder talent… AGAIN. And even if he has potential, playing for Klueless Koetter will ruin him. Dude cannot even beat out P. Barber and HE hasn’t had a long (over 30) yard rush yet, this season has he? Holy crap…

I just looked it up, P Barber hasn’t had an over 25 yard rush IN HIS CAREER and our 2nd rounder “Home run threat” can’t beat that out?????

Carl Nassib is cool. Loved him on Hard Knocks, and not because of his financial advice, which was actually flawed.
I liked him because of his effort. Know who also has a lot of effort? Bully. Joe Dirt.
They need to get him some experience. Cannot do worse, because since Kwon got injured, MLB has been a major weakness.

I guess you guys missed the reverse that Carolina ran, and Nassib could’ve had the tackle, but he was dogging it? I understand, it was only one play…But one play can cost you a game.

He missed on so many guys for our defense! He was bound to get one right eventually! Also, buc are 22-42 under his “general managing.” Sporting News has him as the 30 of 32 GM’s (https://www.bucsnation.com/2018/6/16/17470764/sporting-news-jason-licht-ranks-30th-among-general-manager-bucs-buccaneers).
