What They’re Saying In Cincinnati
October 26th, 2018Yes, Joe smells a Buccaneers victory in chilly and likely rainy Cincinnati.
In fact, Joe (both of them!) predicted just that in yesterday’s Ira Kaufman Podcast. But there’s a different vibe in southwestern Ohio.
In the video below, you’ll hear the Cincinnati.com beat writers talk about how the Bengals (4-3) are completely focused on getting the win Sunday for a variety of reasons. And these guys smell victory, despite the Bengals’ injuries.
First, their bye is next week and the team is hungry to head out on a high note and break their two-game losing streak. Second, teams that start 5-3 make the playoffs 63 percent of the time. Apparently, the Bengals’ defensive coordinator has been pounding that stat to the team this week, versus the 33 percent playoff appearance rate for 4-4 teams.
Enjoy the video! And yeah, even after watching it, Joe thinks the Bucs should be able to use all their weapons to outscore the Bengals.

The Bengals certainly have the motivation, as laid out in the piece you shared – plus home field advantage. If your prediction holds, this would be a huge win for the Bucs. Fingers crossed!

Bengals are banged up and over-rated.
Only problem for the Bucs is fan noise and a quick couple TDs will take care of that.
Jameis plays better on the road than at home for some reason.
Pickin the Bucs 38-21

the thing that has me scared is dirk has shown time and time again that he doesn’t have his players ready to play on the road….we’ve had numerous games where the team came out flat and looked unprepared when we’re on the road…..its already happened once this year vs the bears….
#NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!…#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

I’m hoping motivation isn’t the deciding factor. If anything Bucs staff has more on the line.
IMO Winston >> Dalton most the time; and that should hopefully be the deciding factor. Both Ds aren’t good. We have more skill position players but they have a much better run game with Mixon. However our Run D is the only thing that’s been solid or consistent all year.
So I think this comes down to the QBs and / or Catanzaro lol. Unless our D reverts back to worst in the history of the NFL form as it was under Smitty.

Every game is a ‘must win’ game in the NFL
October 26th, 2018 at 12:33 pm
These guys have bumped their heads. 24 points????
Do they even watch other teams?
October 26th, 2018 at 12:37 pm
Joe has kindly been pointing out to us since those first three critical games how 0-3 team don’t generally make the playoffs.
Bengals are saying nothing that every team in the league isn’t talking about now.
Hell read about the Lightning who are off to a great start and that is the MAIN point…the NHL is similar to the NFL in that teams that get out of the gate reach farther into the playoffs than those who start slowly and heaven forbid sometimes don’t even make the playoffs. Again see the talented Lightning team of a couple years ago who didn’t make the playoffs.
Bottom line…we did NOT start 0-3 and at .500 six games into the season we clearly still have a shot at the playoffs.

When you play the Browns of the NFC it’s a must wim

Me thinks that the Joes have been and still are smoking some preemo stuff!

Things changes in the NFL
Things are never the same
The Houston Texans started 0-3
Now they are 5-3, the only team in the division above.500

“Everybody has a good plan going into the fight until they get punched in the nose.” If the Bucs get 2 quick TD’s to start the game, the Bungles will forget all about what was said in the players meeting, coaches speeches and media stats. That Cincy crowd will go quiet and then turn on the home team real quick!
Go Bucs!!!

Monken needs to have Jackson with over 100 yds receiving. Winston needs help to connect with him. If the deep ball is a lost cause then hit him up the middle like in the past.
Winston to Jackson = playoffs.
Go Bucs!!!

Stop AJ Green and the Bucs have a chance.
October 26th, 2018 at 3:29 pm
I’m predicting a couple INT’S this game, sounds like we’re close and Bengals are ripe for the picking!
October 26th, 2018 at 4:42 pm
For us, ball security on offense and tackling on defense (run fits w LB injuries) should help us to the win. Go Bucs!
October 26th, 2018 at 5:20 pm
LMAO here. Somebody writes, the Begals are banged up and overrated? When has that stopped any team from Beating the Bucs? There is no such thing as a Buc advantage. We have to bring our A game plus..every Sunday to beat any team.
October 26th, 2018 at 5:45 pm
Depleted defensive line and linebacker corp means Bucs will need 35 points to win. Dalton is good when he has time.

We need to have an answer for AJ Green. If we can hold him to 1 TD or less, I think it’s going in the Bucs favor.
October 26th, 2018 at 6:43 pm
AJ green goes for 150…. we barley beat the the freaking Browns… we suck!
October 26th, 2018 at 6:59 pm
Bucs going to dominate ! Believe that they sleeping on us!!!!
October 27th, 2018 at 8:27 am
So even if we lose this week and win next week we’ll only have a 1/3 chance in making the playoffs? Time to step up, Jameis!
October 27th, 2018 at 12:55 pm
Jameis throws 2 ints 1 fumble Bengles 32 Bucs 24.
