O.J. Howard Wiping His Brow

Relieved.
He had to be the happiest man in the Den of Depression.
Bucs tight end O.J. Howard is a freaking stud. He’s having a monster breakout sophomore season in the NFL and at times looks to be an undefensable tight end.
But in one major play today, Howard found a way he could be stopped. He stopped himself.
With a third-and-three on the Bucs-45 with just under nine minutes left in regulation, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, lofted a short pass to the left side that went right through the hands of Howard.
What would have been a first down at midfield with a touchdown lead and the Bucs able to chew up clock, now the Bucs had to punt.
Cleveland marched downfield and had a first down on the Bucs-11 when the defense rose up and stonewalled Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield on fourth-and-goal from the one to take over possession.
Remember, the defense had been such a sieve this season that Bucs coach Dirk Koetter jettisoned his long-time friend and Bucs defensive coordinator Mike Smith,
And Joe was convinced nobody was happier than Howard, as the defense took Howard off the hook.
“Yeah, I should have caught that third-down pass,” a relieved Howard told Joe after the game. “It was just bad timing. I didn’t keep my eyes on the ball. But yeah man, I was happy.”
And how about that defense? It kept the Browns off the board for the first half quarters and had a critical goal-line stand.
Just a few days ago if someone would have said the Bucs defense would have done that today, you’d probably be dragged off and tested for narcotics.

OJ will be fine…..what a beast!!! I am so happy we have him…..will be a great Buc player for years to come….
He’s very happy, I’m sure…..but not near as happy as Chandler….imagine what a goat he could have been……wow, what a kick under what had to be immense mental pressure!!!

Yes, today the offense seemed to be a little uninspired, lackadaisical & care-free with the ball. What ever happened to “high and tight”, once we do get the ball in our hands? Schiano had his guys doing this!?

Concentration and focus was a problem for the entire offense today.
Drops from Evans, Godwin and Hump.
Fumble from Brate.
2 bad interceptions from Jameis.
Offensive line just a sieve at times.
Also gotta give props to Cleveland defense. They are near top of the league in sacks and turnovers. Lots of talent on their d-line.
Offense better sharpen up for Cinci and Carolina.

Let’s hope that winning field goal boosts Katanzaros faith in himself and confidence. The kid has the leg. He made that 59yarder look like cake unlike Matt Bryant last week he sprained his groin/calf from the same distance. And Katanzaro still had plenty of room.im confident he could’ve made it from even 63yards.

If he played with Rogers or Brees, who are these Bucs fans, he plays with Fitz and Jameis, last I checked, he had a better rookie year than many TEs, including one that plays with Brady (Gronk) and one that played with Brees (Graham)

Being a tide fan I have always marveled at his abilities.

Wright, watching that game today all I was thinking was thang god we are playing the Browns, and thank god they are not playing well today. I highly doubt we have 3 more home wins this season.
