Torrid pace continues
Joe’s fishing for positives, and those weapons for Winston? They’re all healthy now entering the bye week, including the offensive line.
The plate and the slate are clean for America’s Quarterback going forward.
Next up after the bye week? The pathetic and undermanned Falcons secondary on turf made for these Bucs receivers. The Falcons defense was torched through the air again today, this time by Andy Dalton.
Through four games, DeSean Jackson has a stunning 17 catches for 424 yards and two touchdowns, after another strong game today. It’s a Pro Bowl pace, and his 48-yard catch in traffic from Ryan Fitzpatrick was such a thing of beauty as he slowed his gear and gave up his body while keeping his balance.
Mike Evans is on pace for 116 catches and he’s hauling in a great percentage of targets.
You know the rest of the cast. Jameis Winston has plenty with which to work.
If Caleb Benenoch doesn’t get him maimed and he doesn’t throw to Ronald Jones, then there’s no reason Jameis shouldn’t have excellent success. This offense is good enough to average at least 25 points per game.
Joe really likes how well the table is set for Jameis. Now he just has to get the job done.

Absolutely you’re correct in that the table IS set for the Buc’s offense to score at least 25 points per game.
Only problem being that they might need 50 points per game to get into the playoffs.

Winston cant hit Jackson, Throws 2 interceptions and some of you cant wait to bring him back. He sucks! Bears played a soft coverage in the second half and we still couldn’t move the ball. Winston again cant lead receivers only hitting them when they are standing still facing Winston. Fitz put up better numbers even in a loss than Winston ever will in his sorry career but sure lets insist on bringing him back. After we lose well fire the GM and coaches and start all over. #Brownsofthesouth.

The Bucs are 2-2, not bad on the surface.
Look more closely and realize it took a QB playing two near perfect games to get those two wins. Those were the first two games of the season, not a lot of tape for opposing teams to scheme on.
This team has ZERO running game and ZERO defense.
I don’t care if you duplicated Fitz’ first two games for the next 12, with the lack of rushing attack and this abomination of a defense, you’re not winning much.
This is just typical.
The Bucs just rip the life out of the fan base over and over again.

The positive at this point is thank goodness for the bye week, don’t wanna here anything about this team unless someone is getting fired or traded.
Thank you bucs for giving me my life back in the off-season. I’m out on that trash until games are played because I listened all off-season to the fake so called leaders talking all off-season about accountability and how they changed, Its funny they tried to make it seem like it was all Chris bakers fault but didn’t see any accountability today for guys jumping offsides or being out of position but I did see lvd on the sideline pouting and this was a bad look for smith, dirk and Licht a real bad look

EllioT nailed it, we have to play perfect at the QB position to have any chance and that is fair to ask of any QB of any era. This is just ridiculous that our defense is so unbelievably horrible.

I think if Winston had started that game, the score would have been much closer.
I still think 11-5 is reachable, but the bye week is the time to make a change at DC. I hate to say it because I’m usually against firing staff during a season, but we have to bring in new blood to replace Mike Smith.
Do not promote from within. Do that, and we stick with the same defensive playbook, which clearly is not working.

Watching Khalil Mack dominate for the Bears since he got traded. And wondered what he could’ve done for us. If we had the balls to pull off such a big trade. But then I come to the realization. That Mike Smith would just having him dropping back into zone coverage.

Compare and contrast Winston and Fitz first halves back this season? Look, Fitz sucked. I don’t care if anyone says Winston got reps, but they better add in how much he sucked. The Franchise QB aswer is NOT on this roster. Also the D sux. Torched over and over. I feel better about the inadequate qb situation then I do about the D.
