I am confident that neither Koetter or the organization will fire Mike Smith before he sabotages what could have been a good season.

Apart from Koetter figuring out how to get the defense on board, I think the biggest test for where our confidence should lie and him as a coach is going to come this week. His teams have shown a pretty remarkable streak thus far of getting way too excited about themselves and Week 1 and then falling apart in week 2. If he can convince them to not get their heads blown up by the media and penciling themselves in for the Super Bowl by the media and penciling themselves in for the Super Bowl because of that one win, I think that will be a good indicator that he has the team’s head where it should be

not much has changed imo……offense looked very impressive but the defense looks like it took a step back…..
dirk inability to give input on the defense and help his buddy out will be his downfall……
I think patrickVA hit the nail on the head…..lets see if he can keep this team focused and hungry against the SB champs that will have 10days to prepare for that high octane offense……
with that said, still a lot of time for dirk to get things right with the defense……
#NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!…#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

I stayed with “Little” – but if I was a rating agency I’ll add a positive outlook. As typed out frequently on this site it was the right move by Koetter to give up beeing the OC and play caller in favor of beeing the HC!
The O is in very good hands, now it’s time to take care of the D. IMHO Mike Smith should have been fired after the Arizona desaster in week 6 last year – and I still don’t have any faith in him. I hope coach K forgets that it’s an old friend who is in charge of this D and demands a complete turn around!
After that I will raise the confidence level.

With the injuries and the rookies, the burden is on the Bucs offense to score, score, and score. Last team with the ball wins. “Buc Ball” will look a lot different than in the past!

I steadfastly remain ‘Confident’.
Go on a three game win streak – My confidence level will move UP to ‘Very Confident’
Go on a losing streak or even flip-flop wins and losses – My confidence level will move DOWN to ‘Little Confidence’
Sunday can’t come soon enough.
Go Bucs!

Looks like the “real” fans have voted Very and Totally Confident for the Dirk Koetter Regime!!!!!!! And it just proves from all the exciting football that we have seen, that we have the “right” coaches and just need to keep upgradeing the roster!!!!!!!!!!
Man this team has come from so far down, to the team we all enjoy watching now!!!!!!!! A win this Sunday will double the win totally of loser lovie smith!!!!! The only question to the “so-called” fans and sheep, is that did you expect this defense to be dominate out of the gate????? did you expect the defense to lose its two top corners and still shut down one of NFL’s elite offenses when it was in desperation mode????? We know that you must keep of the narrative of “hold them accountable” ?????? But will they reassess their opinion after some time for the defense to develop and grow????????
#trust the coaches!!!!!!!!!! Fix the “real” problem!!!!!!! the roster!!!!!!!!!!
GO Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Confidence in Koetter has been eearned.
The question is, what’s the confidence in Mike Smith?
September 12th, 2018 at 10:00 am
I’m still voting little confidence even tho he made a major jump (in my book) by letting Monken call the plays. I still think he kept Mike Smith 1 year too long 🙁
September 12th, 2018 at 10:14 am
Totally Confident.
No conditions. No qualifications.
September 12th, 2018 at 10:28 am
I have voted confident ever since these polls have been introduced but I think that Dirk relinquishing the OC spot and I am sure that hurts a little with his ego, but for the overall team it seems in week 1 to be a great thing, but now its week 2 and this is when over past 5 years the bucs have laid an egg
September 12th, 2018 at 11:01 am
I have little confidence because one game doesn’t instill total confidence in me. That said I WANT to be totally confident and am hoping to be convinced. I WANT STABILITY AND LEADERSHIP and if Koetter is that guy, I will support him wholeheartedly.
September 12th, 2018 at 11:19 am
Totally confident here.
Dirk is a good HC, and his offense is legit.
We need Smitty and the defense to pick up this week. I believe in them!
Dirk and his O are legit! We need to see what ourQB situation looks like I. A few weeks: ride the hot hand, just win baby!
September 12th, 2018 at 11:29 am
To me, there is no middle ground. Two options: Totally Confident or No Confidence.
Spend Money or Don’t Spend Money.
September 12th, 2018 at 11:46 am
One win and a huge shift?
You can’t have a whole lot of confidence as long as he retains his old pal Smitty.
September 12th, 2018 at 11:51 am
Hey Joe, How about a Monken or Smitty Poll????

Vernon to injured reserve per my source within

Nothing has changed. Little confidence. I will say that giving up play calling duties is a big plus. He has enough to worry about as a head coach.
Let’s see if Dirk will make any adjustments on defense, in particular coaching.
September 12th, 2018 at 12:33 pm
Agreed. I will continue to have little confidence until I see the Buccaneers significantly improve on defense or he fires Mike Smith. My opinion would probably go from little confidence to totally confident if he fired Mike Smith. If that happened (and it won’t), we’ll all know for sure he’ll do whatever it takes to win.

Confident. 48 points is 48 points dayum!
Lookout weekend ’cause, here I come
Because weekends were, made for fun
I work hard, everyday, its all work and no play
With the boss on my back, he don’t give me any slack
I sit down, I daydream of how my weekends gonna be
Lookout weekend ’cause, here I come
Because weekends were, made for fun
By the time wednesday comes, I feel the beat and I want to have fun
Lookout weekend ’cause, here I come
Because weekends were, made for fun
