Randy Moss Coaches Up Jameis

Help from a legend.
America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, likes to fish with Warren Sapp.
And now he is also heeding the advice of another NFL legend, Randy Moss.
The Hall of Fame wide receiver was in Tampa recently to work out with NFL receivers and Jameis joined in the fun to hone his passing skills. While there, Jameis was also being counseled by Moss.
Moss readily admits he’s been in trouble before, too, to help guide Jameis through these tough times.
Moss spoke on-camera with WTVT-TV sport anchor Kevin O’Donnell who said Jameis’ latest issue is just a “bump-in-the-road.”
Jameis might need to surround himself with friends of impeccable character to help shield him from potential trouble or becoming a target, Moss even suggests.

The possibility for Winston to perform good far outweighs the possibility of him doing something bad imo, I hope he learns from this incident, picks who he associates with more carefully, and becomes a better man and teammate as a result of this. Would also help his image if he donated to local women’s shelters or services that added sexual assault survivors.

Thats great Randy is counseling Jameis. This is a perfect example of pay it forward mentaliy. Two athletes trying to help other athletes. Chris Carter who had troubles that almost ended his career helping Randy,and Randy helping Jameis.

The key here, like said, is for Winston to surround himself with better people, not the low character Liar’s and alleged rapists like he was with the night of Ubergate. Of course he really has to change his own attitude mostly. As stated in the NFL report, if he violates the league code of conduct policy once more then he is suspended indefinitely and we all know what that means. It’s very dangerous for the Bucs to put all of their eggs in this one basket

If so, I am sure she is the apple of your eye. If a guy felt her up, what would you do? Assuming she is grown? Hunt him down and teach him a lesson, right?
That I fully understand. I would do the same.
But I would not consider it sexual assault.
Regardless, judging Jameis on the very unlikely chance that he might do something to your daughter is unfair. It would disqualify you from serving on a jury even. Because you cannot judge him for crimes he has not committed.
And clearly, if he had committed a crime in the case of Kate, charges would have been filed. Heck, she did not even file a civil lawsuit. Why? Certainly, it would have brought any actions he committed to light.
In fact, it was not Kate who created the story. It was an Internet blog. Joe had to laugh at that one. There’s no story without the driver’s detailed report to Uber.–Joe
So why? Did Kate not consider that filing charges 2.5 years ago would protect any future potential victims? Nope. Because she knew she had no case. Look, Joe’s not calling anyone guilty, but certainly you realize many crimes of all types, involving men, women and children, don’t get reported for a wide variety of reasons.–Joe
So if the law does not call it sexual assault, neither should anyone else, regardless of what FSU, Winston media and Bucs haters try to claim. If Winston were guilty of sexual assault, and if there was actual proof, the authorities would have filed charges themselves, since it is a federal crime.
That is where all those people lose. Accusations are not proof. If there was really proof, the NFL would have suspended him for 6-16 games or even banned him. They would have taken a position of strength. Instead, they negotiated. Why?
Because they knew they would lose. Show me one other time when they negotiated a suspension that was not already in the appeal process.
They suspended him for public image. Nothing more.

Amazing how the Jameis apologists continue to talk about no proof, and how Jameis should continue to be the QB of this football team–as if there is no such thing as good player who isn’t also a lyin’ schemer. They still miss the main point that he is hurting his team more than helping them–the NFL concluded he did exactly what was alleged (not really a question), and no way does it make sense a guy who is supposedly innocent and will lose millions of $$ already–would sit idly by. Regardless, the very man being expected to lead this team isn’t allowed around them for a critical part of the season–after trying to deceive the world. The apologists are perhaps the same ones who just weeks ago said Jameis is such a loyal guy to his friends that he refused to name the third guy in the car. Yeah, we know how that turned out, don’t we?
I think the notion that Jameis isn’t going to get cut is correct only in the sense that they won’t do anything drastic with him now; this “cut” or “parting ways” or “go in a different direction” will be something that happens or doesn’t based on how many things unfold this year. Fan views, therapy outcomes, further incidents, and how things come out on the field. Can he be the face of the franchise? Doubt it. Time will tell.

We don’t know for sure exactly what happened…..the NFL doesn’t know….only Jameis & the driver know…..this is likely why it was only 3 games.
There should be no minimization of the act. It is technically correct to say that it was not sexual assault (in Arizona, it’s called sexual abuse). But nonetheless, it is wrong.
I am very supportive of any actions Jameis takes to improve his life and put this in the past.
For those who want him gone, I understand that completely and empathize with your dilemma supporting the team going forward.
I would propose this: Watch the Chicago game (perhaps Atl) when Jameis returns…..see how you feel then.

He was very clear he apologized for “putting her in this position” which could mean anything but of course you are going to hear that and think he said I did everything exactly the way it was portrayed because your dislike of him from the jump. You can bet the NFL knows what happened. That is why the Bucs and the Winston camp jumped so hard and quick to negotiate his plea bargain. They did not want the NFL to make public all their findings on Winston during their very thorough investigation. That is why the league’s notification letter to Winston was not made public.
I’ve worked in mediation for 22 years and negotiated nondisclosure is very common.

@TBBF…I think the NFL WOULD and DID negotiate…they don’t want the PR issues that the Brady and Zeke issues created. Winston gets suspended is bad for everyone, including the NFL. They would definitely want to avoid the “here we again, more millionaire NFL thugs in trouble” saga. So it’s in their best interest too. And the owners’ interest. At the end of the day, likely Winston’s too–especially. They’d not have levied anything for punishment if they didn’t have the proof…not in today’s litigious world. Yes, they could under the rules, but look past that. Why would they?
So good for all except inquiring/interested minds…they won’t tell us. Frankly, the public has no real “right” to know the full details–this isn’t public record stuff. We don’t know what recordings, pictures, etc or other “electronic” records they have. Maybe they don’t have anything–but clearly they know enough to keep Winston from challenging–and know enough to conclude about the “inapprorpriate” contract in the specific way it was worded. The did not mention anything about being suspended for lying.

I have to agree with Brian on this one. The entire night was sordid…Jameis “allegedly” yelling out homophobic screams from the vehicle…who really knows what kind of behavior he was exhibiting at the club at 3AM…drunk on his butt perhaps also fueled with Molly…Ecstasy or some party drug.
The NFL…the Bucs…and Jameis did have one common interest. None of these entities really care what happened of if Kate got groped…it’s just business…ALL they care about is the PR and the resulting damage to their businesses and career going forward.
When you separate that out you realize why a negotiated non disclosure agreement was clearly the way to go to minimize PR disaster.
Let’s hope the Bucs didn’t have Michael Cohen negotiating their end of the non disclosure. LOL

And yes, I was against drafting him….April 30, 2015 was a dark day for this franchise, and approximately half the Bucs fans were in agreement. The fan base was split in half, and still is. Grave mistake by Licht and the Glazers. Yes, I was against drafting him because EVERYONE KNEW his past. You can defend it. You can deny it. But we all know it. So go ahead, and defend this a-hole again. Your side of the fan base feels the need to whitewash his long lurid past. Not to mention he kinda sucks as a QB (which is irrelevant now). Wear that number 3 jersey proudly. It says a lot about the person wearing it.

Two things:
1. I think it would be helpful if some of youz went back and read her statement. “Grazed his fingers over my pants” “it was only for a very brief moment”. “What’s up with that?”, “the rest of the ride proceeded without incident”. Just for clarity bc reading some of these people’s posts you’d think he did something much different.
2. I love that Randy Moss is working with Jaboo bc he too almost had his hof career derailed after a white girl in the Deep South. The more things change and what not…. he also got arrested for beating the crap out of a kid who wrote the n word on his desk at school. Lol, well deserved imo. There’s a difference, one could accidentally graze a women’s chest in passing but that’s not the same as grabbing a women’s chest. Look at the original buzzfeed article, there are 2 screenshots. 1 with her comments to Uber and the other is a text to her friend. If her testimony has changed since then, then we have a different issue altogether.

Sad…Moss said Jameis did something wrong…that Jameis admitted he did something wrong…if you watch the video that Joe linked. But some of you still don’t get it, and are acting like it was some kind of fairy tale concoction with a bad ending. It would be much better for you all if you would watch Jameis example in this… Admit he did something very wrong…and in his case, make sure it never happens again or that you are alone with a woman in a position where such an accusation can grow legs.
BTW…I’m not saying cut Jameis… Yes, improve the backup position “just in case”. But really guys…. if Jameis can admit it, why can’t we?

Jameis is going to get his chance, and he WILL play as a Buc this season. His PRODUCTION will dictate his future as a Buc starter.
I’m positive that any additional off-field issues will make that statement moot.
He’s being punished 3 games, move on. He will start in week #4.

It appears many here believe in “ guilty until proven innocent “. Circumstantial evidence and outright fabrication is not acceptable grounds to convict anybody for anything . Jameis is still our QB, for now, and for the future. That’s not going to change until the Bucs find a better option in another ten or fifteen years.

When accused of a crime a person is assumed innocent until proven guilty
That person does not need to prove his innocence, the prosecutor has to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt
The NFL does not have that restriction, but they ARE sensitive to public opinion and currently, public opinion is favoring the me too crowd
If, after 9 months of investigation, the NFL had any proof of the deed, they would have given him the minimum penalty of 6 weeks suspension or more
Once the suspension is levied, JW can either accept or appeal
If he appeals he now has the burden of proof
Have you ever tried to prove a negative?
Regardless of weather he did it or not, with no proof for either sides story, The NFL did the “politically correct” thing and went for the 3 weeks plus prepared “apology” that admitted to nothing
