“I’ve Seen Him Lift 300-pound Men Off The Ground With One Arm”
May 31st, 2018So how is the mammoth manbeast first-round draft pick faring in the Florida heat and practicing alongside and against men?
To hear Dirk Koetter talk today, Vita Vea is ready for Festivus.
Specifically, Joe is talking about the “Feats of Strength,” associated with the fictional Seinfeld holiday.
“What we’ve seen is a guy that his weight definitely has not affected him. He’s got an excellent motor and he is a very strong human being,” Koetter said. “I mean, you can ask those guards that are playing against him. I mean he’s got a move with that inside arm; I’ve seen him left 300-pound men off the ground with one arm. It’s impressive, his strength.”
Yeah, it’s underwear football — no pads, no real-man hitting. But this is awfully fun to think about as May comes to a close.
If Vea can play at his 350-pound weight and legitimately push guards around, even for half a game, the Bucs’ defense is going to be a whole different animal this year.

I think it’s becoming clear he’s going to be good…very good.
I ran into a guy at the gym today who has several Polynesian friends. A Tongan and a couple Samoans. He is really JACKED about this pick.

I’ve seen RoJo lift this mammoth with one arm as well. I’d say that’s more impresive given the weight differential. That aside, Vea is going to be great. I also expect great things out of RoJo

Vitamen I hope you are correct. I tend to agree I’m just keeping my fingers crossed. IF…ROJO is the real deal…this offense will become #1…provided of course they find at least one more good OL.

Rod “toast”Jones looked great at a practice when he was at SMU, so great that he lit a team mate up at practice and was nicknamed “K O”by his fellow teammates.i don’t get all worked up about underwear football, when the pads come on the “dogs”on the team will show up!dogs like “king kwon” did his rookie year!#58=probowl=2018.

I was excited about the pick, but been getting anxiety about his weight and this change in heat from west to east coast.
This is good news. Would love to see him be a big contributor year 1

You heard it here first – Bucs are a top 5 NFL defense this year. We just need to stay healthy. And stop the turnovers.

About time the Bucs start addressing the heart of the game – the Offensive and Defensive lines. And, not with any 250-lbs speed rushing nonsense, with all do respect to Noah Spence. Still, we gotta have those nasty 325 to 350 men who can lift a man their size with one arm, a la Vita Vea or guys who are just too plain ornery to move like Ryan Jensen. Football was and is a game where big, strong dudes run into one another at full speed. Remember the worn out cliches like the game is won and lost in the trenches and quantity has a quality all its own evolved for a reason, the offensive and defensive lines.

Every day is Festivus on JBF. “I’ve got a lot of problems with you people, and now you’re gonna here about it!” The airing of grievances is an every thread thing here.
Joe, YOU COULDN’T SMOOTH A SILK SHEET IF YOU HAD A HOT DATE WITH A BABE….I lost my train of thought…”

Trench War, thanks. Hulk seems very appropriate. Joe, you have to let Vita know his new nickname. Or at least allow GMC to give Vita the nickname.
HULK SMASH!!!

Do it in a game! Till then, who cares! I hit homeruns in BP and strike out in games…

You can teach technique; but you can’t teach being 6′ 5″ and 350 lbs.
