Fun With The PFF Tribe

January 12th, 2018

Make up your mind!

Talk about talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Yes, there are two Joes around here. One has absolutely no use for the well-trained orangutans of the PFF tribe in any way, shape or form. The other pays only a passing interest (at best) to them, as he thinks they provide some (emphasize the word “some”) value. But the player grades? Those are worth about as much as used toilet paper.

And you should hear NFL types howl about the PFF tribe’s grades — both in rage and in laughter.

Well, here’s a good one for you. It seems this Mark Chichester of PFF may have gotten himself in hot water with the tribal leaders by not running a con. He ran numbers and studied charts and concluded that no tight end in the NFL had a higher passer rating when targeted than the Bucs’ O.J. Howard.

This was published just a few days before the high priests of the well-trained orangutans claimed Howard graded out as the worst first round draft pick of 2017.

So either Howard is one of the most valuable targets in the NFL at his position, or he is hot garbage. Which is it?

Oh, and Joe will have something more a bit later on the tribe. Seems eye-RAH! got one of the high priests all bunched up yesterday.

We live in a time of double standards and

    Idiocracy

Classic from those goifballs. Worst pick Gahaahahha

Anyone can see oj Howard is gonna be special.

Tight ends just don’t put up huge numbers in year one and he had 5tds

Pretty impressive. Glad he is a buc. Class act too

    Well said Espo!
Just hit the ‘ol spin-machine. I guess OJ didn’t give them an autograph or something. From the blurb I saw yesterday I don’t think these guys could find their a$$ with both hands!
It doesn’t matter anyway. We went 5-11. You don’t get a whole lotta love when that happens!

  5. BoJim Says:

Worst 1st round pick? Did I miss something? Why do these guys exist?

  6. Radman Says:

Their evaluation convinced me to buy a #80 jersey

I think it simply means that they haven’t come up with a meaningful algorithm to value the TE position. Not unbelievable, given that it’s sort of a hybrid position and Howard was drafted so highly because he does well in both disciplines of the TE position. Sounds like they simply don’t know what to do about the position more than it being an indictment on his play

I guess OJ didn’t give them an autograph

    LOL! 🙂
