Jameis Says He Was All Talk, “Period.”

December 28th, 2017

America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, is being inaccurately portrayed, so he said firmly today at One Buc Palace.

A reporter at Jameis’ weekly news conference today asked him about confronting Chris Baker in the locker room following the gut-punch loss to the Panthers on Sunday. It’s a story that has taken a life of its own, and Joe can assure you (since Joe was there in Charlotte) that no local reporter witnessed the incident. And it appears, other than Joe, no other local reporter entered that postgame locker room there with knowledge of whatever yelling happened before media was allowed in.

“I didn’t confront Chris [Baker]. Period. I joined a conversation that was going on,” Jameis said.

Joe spoke to many players in that unhappy locker room about what happened. And Joe has spoken to others since. Nothing more than a bunch of yelling, not even a push. Big deal.

Joe can also say that with all that hollering, there were differing opinions being shared simultaneously. It wasn’t one massive gang up on Baker.

Brutal loss. Tense times. Quickly diffused.

I was yelling at my TV at the garbage refs who gave the Panthers the game, as well as yelling at Dirk for playing for a long FG instead of trying to put the game away, as well as yelling at Dirk for running the clock and not using his timeouts before halftime.

It was a lot of yelling on Christmas Eve, which is normal.

When all this happens on a live feed on your broadcast network it doesn’t look or sound good.

  3. AlteredEgo Says:

    Incite into Jameis

  4. Nate Says:

it was probably a mixed bag of HOT MESS

jameis adding in on swaggys offsides….swaggy blaming jameis for having to take 4 field goals in the redzone

and others jumping in on both sides

  5. Clodhopper Says:

So what he’s saying is, there’s still no accountability in that locker room? Good to know

  6. AlteredEgo Says:

    I think they’ll win Sunday…….
same feeling I’ve had since 76

  7. Clodhopper Says:

Meanwhile, while these guys were circle jerking the finger pointing game Koetter was sitting in a corner with his knees tucked up to his chin, rocking back and forth and mumbling to himself.

  8. CyberDilemma Says:

I’m guessing Jameis flicked Baker in the back of the helmet with his finger and when Baker turned around and shoved Jameis, Evans plowed into Baker from behind……Oh, wait….wrong incident…..nevermind.

  9. AlteredEgo Says:

Not the coaches place sorting that out on the spot….he was probably smiling on the inside…..hey…these guys have been playing to win….I have been impressed these past 3 games….not ready for prime time….don’t have all the characters on stage yet….
next week and for the next 15 weeks we can start fighting over the draft…

    ^^WTF^^

what have you been impressed with these last 3 games?…..almost winning?….were you impressed with the first 12 games they played because that included 5 BLOW OUTS!!!!!…..GO BUCS!!!!

  11. SOEbuc Says:

    @Rod Munch

Refs get told by the NFL to make those BS calls when it’s a game against the Bucs in Charlotte that gets Rupaul Newton and the Panthers a guaranteed playoff spot.

  12. AlteredEgo Says:

    8134…grow up….

  13. SOEbuc Says:

DJax should’ve just jumped in the middle of the argument with his bong to calm everyone down hahaha.

  14. Clodhopper Says:

    Rupaul Newton.

    LMAO!!

  15. DoNUTS Says:

With Gettleman taking the Giants GM job today, Jon Gruden inches closer to Tampa Bay.

No way Gettleman – Gruden can coexist in NY.

I dont think the Raiders have any chance – Gruden has not forgotten being traded and who wants to be an NFL coach in a new city in 2 years when they move to Vegas. Talk about distractions.

Texans and Dallas are on the clock…..

  16. 813bucboi Says:

    alter

    truth hurts huh!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

At the quick step..Gruden readies his Lieutenants and support staff…………

  18. miken Says:

he shoulda stuck his fingers in his ear

So I guess this means we can’t count on objective reporting from Joe on JW.

For whatever reason, even through the bosting of being the only one there, he wont say what happened.

weird…. it’s almost like…. someone is protecting JW from being exposed as a immature punk. He blew up on the side after costing yet another game, then went and yelled at his teammates in the locker room?

    That’s your Pro-Bowling wishing leader?

Spill the beanz Joe, Don’t be the water carrying Hannity for JW.

Sapp raised his voice quite a bit, as did Keyshawn. Meanwhile Brooks did not. Lynch I’m not so sure about, he’d get fired up and talk a ton of trash, but he did so in a controlled manner whenever he was on camera, but from what I heard behind the scenes Lynch could get rowdy. Also Gruden would yell and scream like a maniac, yet Dungy got his respect just via the way he carried himself, and listening to guys like Sapp, Dungy could hurt you much more than Gruden’s yelling just by giving you a looking.

Anywho the cupcakes who don’t think a bunch of men who play with a ball and hit each other for a living, that they’re above raising their voices, LOL!

It’s a game you bores, different people deal with stress different ways, and there isn’t any one proper way to deal with it. This isn’t an office you PC dullards, it’s a locker room with a bunch of muscled up nude men with grass stains on their knees.

  21. StPeteBucsFan Says:

I do not see Dallas as a viable option for Chucky. There is not enough room in the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to fit Jerry Jones and Chucky’s egos much less inside a single NFL organization. I do not see Chucky and Jerry Jones as a pair that would work well together.

  22. Jman Says:

    Glad JAboob finally admits it.

  23. Jman Says:

All talk and unwanted physical contact.

  24. DalvinCookRules Says:

this is oftentimes what happens when a bunch of talented players with championship aspirations (Winston, Evans, McCoy, Kwon Alexander, et al) come to the realization that they are on a team without the same aspirations.

That all comes from coaching, however. Coaches put players in the best position to win, and with all of the talent the Bucs have, it is despicable how they are constantly FINDING WAYS to lose.

The team lacks the mental makeup and intestinal fortitude and that must be instilled by coaches who also know how to put players in best positions to win.
