Dirk Koetter easily can answer the question, what are the Bucs good at?
Some say, “losing.” But that’s not among the answers.
The head coach revealed one appropriate response on the Buccaneers Radio Network yesterday.
“I think we are Top 6 or 7 in the league at scoring off turnovers. I think if you look at the overall numbers, that’s one thing we’ve actually been ok at,” Koetter said.
The Bucs keep all kinds of internal data, and Joe doesn’t know if Koetter was talking total points off or simply scoring drives after turnovers, or simply percentage of offensive success following takeaways. But it really doesn’t matter.
Tampa Bay is among the better teams in the NFL at forcing turnovers, and now we learn they are comparatively lethal with the football after those turnovers.

Maybe they should just coach them to think of a punt or a kickoff as a turnover. Problem solved!

to think scoring off turnovers is just a effectual stat for every team to some degree….
for this offense its a can’t avg more than 20pts for 3yrs all out feast or famine……lol
its a stat not really worth bragging about when your not scoring 40pts a game….it shows you need the Defense heavily

Another example of how stats lie. Only thing the bucs are lethal at is getting field goals off turnovers, I guess someone wants us to think this team is actually scoring points because I can remember games with the defense getting multiple turnovers despite issues getting off the field and this offense doing nothing. Love it when they use stats to show you the complete opposite of what your eyes see, someone is seriously in job saving mode.

The Bucs can only score with a short field. A long drive is something foreign to them.
