Bucs Are A “Team In Bad Shape”
October 28th, 2009The Professor, John Clayton of BSPN, talks about the Bucs in this NFC South roundup. In short, if you are pining for the Josh Freeman era to begin, Clayton suggests you are also pining for blowouts. He explains:

News flash, the Bucs have been getting blown out already. Why doesn’t some journalist explain to us why the Bucs have had the lowest payroll in the NFL for like the last six years? Now that would be news worthy.

Professor Trox, will answer his own question. Maybe you might want to look into a company called Red Football owned by the Glazers. Red Football is the parent company carrying the significant debt load of one soccer team named, oh yes, Manchester United. Let’s just hypothize that United’s earnings may make it difficult to pay down the debt load of Red Football. So where do you think the owners of Red Football might be able to acquire additional funds to cover the cost of their soccer team?

Joe’s written about Red Football before Trox.

I’m not doubting your journalistic integrity Joe, just the “supposed analysts” at ESPN. It is unwatchable, keep up the good work!!!

Hey Joe … Adam Schein on the NFL Sirius Blitz just posited a scenario in which the Bucs would play the Rams … He said he’d pick the Rams … “I just think Raheem Morris is in way over his head,” added his show partner, Rich Gannon. … “That team is in completely disarray. They’re terrible, they’re unwatchable,” adds Schein. … They mentioned the 4th & 1 play at the 50 last week in which the Bucs braintrust elected to punt and were flabbergasted at the decision … Anyway, they think the Bucs and the Rams WON’T WIN A GAME THIS SEASON.

Thanks for the update George.
Joe missed it. He listened to Peter King on Sirius NFL Radio this morning and is currently listening to the King of All Media, Howard Stern, who has a compelling show today (local celebrity Hulk Hogan broke down crying talking about his recent near-suicide).
Schein has been absolutely brutal on the Bucs since before the draft. Truth be told, he’s been dead-on in his analysis of the Bucs.
As for Gannon, Joe takes with a grain of salt. Gannon is very tight with Chucky and has visited Chucky in Chucky’s bunker at the Ice Palace. So Gannon, like JT the Brick (another Chucky/Bruce Almighty intimate), is going to be hypercritical of the Bucs because Chucky was fired.
Joe doesn’t disagree with Gannon or JT the Brick, but those two aren’t exactly objective sources.
Schein has no ax to grind. He’s just calling it as he sees it.

George:
Though Joe loves to talk about the NFL draft, he can’t quite wrap his arms around it until after the Super Bowl.
