Earlier today, Joe brought word from good guy Peter Schrager of NFL Network that the Bucs are the most watchable team on TV for a variety of reasons.
It seems Andy Benoit of SI.com agrees, but for a slightly different reason.
Benoit says if NFL fans want to be entertained, then flip the channel to a Bucs game as America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, has few equals when it comes to having fun watching football.
7. Jameis Winston is fun to watch on film. Several times a game, he forces you to rewind by throwing into tight windows that you’d looked away from, assuming the ball couldn’t go there. He completes a lot of these (albeit, sometimes to the other team).
Winston has a chance to be great. Against Chicago, he was particularly sharp in pre-snap blitz identification. Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio rarely blitzes. When he did last Sunday, it was from the slot, and Winston quickly converted against it.
Joe noticed Jameis doing the very same thing: threading needles when maybe it wasn’t so wise to throw the ball (when Jameis made his college debut at Pitt, where he damned near threw a perfect game against Aaron Donald, no less.)
Joe was in the Steel City to catch a playoff chase weekend series between the Cardinals and Pirates (PNC Park is a total palace and if any fan has ever been there, that same person struggles to want to go to the Fruitdome in St. Petersburg). On that same weekend, Florida State played Pitt next door (PNC Park and Heinz Field are about a half-mile apart).
Joe and a buddy from Pittsburgh, who played college football, went to that FSU-Pitt game and watching Jameis strafe Pitt’s defense, there was a time or two Joe and his friend looked at each other and almost said at the same time, “Did you see that?” There was disbelief at what unfolded.
It was a helluva show.

I have said this before the Bucs even drafted Jameis.
He will one day be in the HOF and will become the best QB in the NFL.

By the way Dan Graziano of ESPN is reporting Bradford will not play this Sunday.

Smith and Baker doubtful
If Baker doesnt play, going to be hard for us to play more 3-4 defense.

The Bucs are fun to watch until they’re up by 3 points, then Dirk sentences them to run up the middle on every play.
I’m really hoping that changes this year – and no I’m not counting the game against the Bears as it was out of hand so early I don’t think you can take much away from it. I just hope against the Vikings the Bucs don’t get an early FG and then see Dirk go into a shell like he did last season.

I enjoyed Hard Knocks so much I’m going back and watching last year’s version with the Rams because everyone said how that almost killed off the series it was so boring.
After 2 episodes I must agree, Hard Knocks with the Rams is pretty awful. What a dull team they have.
