Jameis Thanks Team Glazer

Almost out of left field, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, had interesting words on the Buccaneers Radio Network after today’s throttling of the Bears in the home opener.
Talking to host TJ Rives, Jameis was throwing out a bunch of cliches and praising the defense, as expected.
And then Jameis dropped a bunch of love on Team Glazer for taking good care of the club during Hurricane Irma and leading the team toward a strong day on the field.
“I’d like to thank the owners for helping this team overcome a lot of what happened,” Jameis said.
Again, Jameis going to the ownership in his comments really felt like it was out of nowhere.
Team Glazer chartering four, 30-person planes for evacuation of players, office employees and their families seemed to touch and impress Jameis. And who knows what other provisions Team Glazer made behind the scenes.
Mike Evans added on radio that the hurricane issues wouldn’t overcome the Bucs because they are mature.
“We’re true professionals,” Evans said, saying the Bucs are “a tight-knit group,” so it didn’t surprise him how the team rallied together.

They say Winston took the last plane to make sure everyone else was takin care of first he’s such an impressive leader. Go Bucs! 1-0

Yea I heard that on the broadcast too. Jameis wouldn’t leave until every other team mate, staff and family member was taken care of.

Jameis will thank the Glazers again when they give him that $250 million 8 year contract.

What an impressive maturation process for #3. I had my doubts after draft day on him (not his skills, but his maturity), like many probably. But, this kid is a leader at EVERY given opportunity, man. How can you not love that? I just need him to calm down and not put so much on his shoulders and try to force balls. That’s his competitive nature, not his inability to be a team player. But like coach K said, he can win games and he can lose games for this team. Let’s see how he rebounds against the Vikings cuz that Vikings defense is very opportunistic.
