“Empty Memory”
July 21st, 2017Want to get fired up this morning?
Well, after you watch the video below, you’ll be ready to start shotgunning beers to start your weekend, the last weekend before training camp begins at One Buc Palace.
Kevin O’Donnell of WTVT-TV Channel 13 recently caught up with former Bucs great Warren Sapp. As noted earlier this week, Sapp has been working out with Clinton McDonald and other NFL defensive linemen, sharing his wisdom for the game.
In his interview of Sapp, O’Donnell asked about America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston. Sapp’s face lit up and he raved about Jameis. Sapp noted how Jameis is “everything you want in a quarterback” and reveled in the fact Jameis is “fearless.’
But one quote from Sapp stuck out for Joe.
“His empty memory, I call it,” Sapp said. “Not short — empty memory.”
Sapp went on to recount how Jameis had a critical turnover in the loss to Dallas but on the next possession was rifling the ball through the Cowboys’ secondary as if nothing had happened.
(Sapp misspoke claiming the Bucs won the game, but Joe guesses Sapp was referring to the Bucs “win” in that Jameis completed a long touchdown pass to Rudy Humphries when Sapp was referencing Jameis’ gunslinger ways.)
How much does Sapp love Jameis? Well, if the video below doesn’t tip you off, Joe will share a story. Last year after the win over the Seahawks, Joe noticed Sapp jawing with Jameis’ dad, Antonor Winston. If you ever met Antonor Winston, you will know where Jameis got his personality from.
Anyway, Joe overheard Sapp telling Antonor Winston, “If I had your son for a quarterback, I’d have four rings!”
If the Sapp video below doesn’t get you fired up for football, then you might want to consult a physician to find out what happened to your pulse.

Remember how we all got excited for Shaun King his first couple of games. Now take Jameis Winston and multiply that by a 1000. 🙂

People were saying this about Jameis in college about his empty memory. Good to see his first two years in the NFL hasn’t changed that.

September 10th can’t get here quick enough!!!!!

LOL, you know Sapp loves Jameis. Sapp was a Miami Hurricane, and usually they hate everything about FSU.

No offense Brad Johnson lol.

The Humphries TD pass that was tipped by the defender…
Heck if Dungy had even a competent offensive coordinator and cared about that side of the ball at all the Bucs would have at least 2 rings.

People dont talk about it at all….except the outside the box thinker Kobe
Has there ever been a QB who transformed his body like Jameis has done in the past 2-3 years as a pro
maybe Brady?
Jameis was a fatboy his last year at FSU and because of his ankle sprain he probably weighed 245-250 lbs and soft
Jameis weighs 225-230lbs but desent amount is muscle. He probably added 20lbs of muscle and lost the fat…
thats alot of dedication and willpower. hours and hours of behind the scenes grunt work
Kobe thinks end of the year, Jameis will be top 7 QB in the NFL
Jameis has the dedication, smarts, body and the god given arm…all he needs is the live action mental game(will come with experience) to dominate the league

I’m a guy that exercises 3x a week and eats healthy (mostly) so when I saw that picture I was worried because I had a more athletic physique than an NFL starting QB. That should never be unless I was a gym rat. I was worried he wouldn’t be dedicated enough off the field.
Everything you said Kobe Faker is spot on. He could be a top 7 QB in the NFL this year. At the very least he’ll be a top 7 *fantasy* QB.

I wanted to get fired up this morning but I didn’t have a cup of Joe.

So why wouldn’t GMC go workout with Sapp and his other dline men? Am I missing something?
Real recognize real Sapp knows Jameis will bring home the Lombardi with a little help.
“I only got 16.5 sacks”. Ha! The 2 years of production from our all-world bad boy hating wannabe superhero.

D-Rome says:
“Everything you said Kobe Faker is spot on”
LOL – Surely the 1st and almost certainly the last time those words will ever be put together

We should all appreciate Sapp while we can. Guy probably is going to go thru some tough times with dementia or worse before he gets real old.

Sapp was a great football player. He’s earned his SB ring. He got it. He is all downhill since. He was a piece of crap with fans while he played, and has a history with hookers and stuff that gets him in trouble since. Maybe he’s cleaned up his life-hope so. But a guy who has numerous kids with multiple chicks and can’t pay child support for them and so now maybe we do it on welfare….doesn’t earn respect. Sapp’s comments….heh…not sure he knows who his kids are anyway. Get bent Warren.

@ roy t.
Gtfooh…..crap to fans? Sapp did not owe fans anything but lining up and being the qb killa. Its fans that were dumb. All fans knew he did not sign autographs while out in public. You were a dumb a$$ if you continously went up to him to ask for it. Sapp did everything he was suppose to do as a player ie never missed practices or otas. Anything else he could have given would have been gravy. But if the mash potatoes are good/great, they dont need any gravy. Thats sapp and i will take him on my team any day and i could care less if he signed my jersey. We had derrick brooks, alstott and barber for that.

@Webster. I thik I was pretty clear. Sapp was great football player, earned his ring. I never went after Sapp or any dude for an autograph for god sakes. But he’s a piece of crap. Period. It DOES matter how a guy is off the field. Maybe not to you, but he’s a disgrace as a man.
July 22nd, 2017 at 12:10 pm
@ Webster….and by the way…I said nothing about Sapp not interfacing with fans. You brought that insignificant point up. Beating up women and going after prostitutes is another trait of this dirtbag…that I WILL add here. If you say that doesn’t matter to you, then you must be from up north…or a Cowboys fan. LOL!

@ roy t
You are right, i can care less what a person does in their personal life. Their personal life does not affect me or pay my bills or feed my family. Sapp was paid to be a football player and he did that. His run ins with strippers had nothing to do with fans. You said sapp treated fans like crap. I said he did not owe fans a thing but bringing it on sundays which he did. Im not God so I dont judge people because only God can judge. If you want to say sapp is a piece of crap as a human then you are entitled to your opinion, but he owed the fans nothing. Thats why i addressed only your statement about his interaction with fans.

@ roy t
You wrote and i quote “he was a piece of crap to fans while he played” To say you said nothing about sapp interfacing with fans is a joke. To say “I” brought up an insignificant point is even a bigger joke when you infact brought up his interactions with fans. I think you may need to go see a doctor because you might be bi-polar.
