Reidel Anthony Talks Bucs, Trains Bucs; It’s Lunch With Real Rock Riley
July 17th, 2017Where else can you get this kind of Buccaneers video? Nowhere.
In his quest to find Bucs happenings across Tampa Bay, Rock Riley goes back to the Bucs’ sort of secret training facility to talk to former Tampa Bay receiver Reidel Anthony (1997-2001). Enjoy!

Reidel Anthony was quite the disappointment for a 1st rd pick. Pretty much a total bust in the NFL.

Didn’t he get taken to the cleaners by that convict Tank Black?

Not his fault that he was taken way too high. Nothing about him said 1st round talent.

@The1&OnlyRealRockRiley:
I heard “we almost had the entire defensive line” there training. Does that include Mr. Chris (i take 30 mins to get my socks & shoes on while ya’ll go practice) Baker?

@Pickgrin Hardly a total bust. Not even close. Was he all time, well… not even close.

144 receptions for 1,846 yards in 5 years? That averages to 28 receptions and 369 yards per year. No second contract and out of the NFL after the Bucs gave up on him.
Yea – I’d say that’s pretty much a total bust for the overall #16 pick in the draft. Only reason he got those stats even at that level is because the Bucs were unwilling to give up on their large investment too soon in case he actually ever “developed”. Guess what – he never did. Bust!

Great to hear these guys are working together on and off the field. @Pickgrin he may not have had the longest or best NFL career but coming from Belle Glade, FL that an accomplishment. And seeing how he was in the NFL for 5 seasons when the average is 3-4 i would say is a success. And this is coming from a FSU fan and can respect even his short career.

Hopefully, Jameis gets the time he needs to throw the ball ?

Pickgrin, take it easy on the guy. He seems like a good dude. It didn’t work out for him. I’m sure he would appreciate your piling on though. Seems out of character for you.

Ok – perhaps a bit harsh. Not really though – just tellin it straight.
Apparently I’m not over that wasted 1st round pick from 20 years ago – LOL. Probably didn’t help that he was a F’n Gator….
Nothing personal Reidel. Hope life is good for you man.

As always Pickgrin agree totally with your take…except I do not hate the Gators..lol But if you’re a Nole I get it. 🙂
Buc50 Also agree it wasn’t Reidel’s fault…and he was one of a pair of “Gator” mistakes. I do not believe either Reidel or Jaquizz Green get drafted that high by any team out of state.
I root for ALL Florida teams so I have no prejudices when it comes to Gators and Noles. I enjoy the banter between the two school’s fans however. I find it very entertaining and all schools benefit from a great in state rivalry like Auburn, Alabama….Michigan-Michigan St..
Part of the problem when either FSU or UF have great players…when..duh every year..is separating fandom both pro and con.
During the debate over #3 it was clear some posters were influenced positively by their FSU loyalty and negatively by UF loyalty.
Same with Hargreaves….goes on very frequently. I get it and most times it’s pretty easy to read between the lines the motivation of a Nole or Gator poster.

stpetebucsfan – hey man, if you’re going to shout-out a reference to former WR Jacquez Green, at least don’t confuse his name with current RB Jacquizz Rodgers.
Agree with everything else you typed, tho.
