Finishing Jameis Winston

May 10th, 2017

BY IRA KAUFMAN

We all know about his relentless work ethic. His leadership … off the charts. He commands respect from every coach and teammate that crosses his path.

Yet Jameis Winston still has much to prove at the NFL level.

Although he is off to an impressive start, Winston must progress if the Bucs are going to shake up the world and delight their Stick Carriers. The good news is Winston is not about to rest on his laurels — or that darned alarm clock.

In the wee hours, while Buc fans are fantasizing about Kate Upton, Zac Efron or another Vince Lombardi Trophy, Winston arises early to seize the day. That siege appears significantly more realistic when you are aiming passes at DeSean Jackson and O.J. Howard rather than Louis Murphy and Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

“Jameis Winston’s a winner,” says Jackson, who had several suitors in free agency but settled early on Tampa Bay because “I wanted to play with a great quarterback.”

Even Winston would acknowledge he’s not great at this point. But at the age of 23, he’s getting there. He just guided the Bucs to their first winning season since 2010, which was a very significant year in franchise history.

Hanging Freeman

That’s the year Tampa Bay went 10-6, 22-year-old Josh Freeman’s first full season as a starter. And although the Bucs came up just short of an NFC playoff berth, the phrase “franchise quarterback” followed Freeman around all offseason.

And why not?

Let’s not rewrite history, folks. Freeman was fantastic in 2010, throwing 25 touchdown passes and only six picks. His 1.3 percent interception rate was lower than everyone in the league not named Tom Brady.

Everyone was excited about the team’s future, including the Glazers, who called 2010 their most rewarding season since the 2002 championship year.

We all know how quickly things went south.

Freeman, now a 29-year-old quarterback who has never suffered a significant injury, can’t get a job in a league where Josh McCown and Brian Hoyer may start in Week 1.

Winston should have a picture of Freeman hanging in his locker as a cautionary tale to remind him how potential franchise quarterbacks can soon be out on the street.

In no way do I think Winston will suffer a similar fate.

Fixing The Fourth Quarter

Winston’s car is often seen in the parking lot at One Buc Place before 6 a.m. That’s about the time Freeman rolled into bed on occasion.

Freeman never embraced the leadership role that comes with the position. Winston looks and sounds like a guy who would play for nothing.

But let’s not assume No. 3 is a finished product.

Only Philip Rivers (21) threw more interceptions than Winston (18) last season, when he also fumbled 10 times. Creaky Carson Palmer and rookie Carson Wentz were the only quarterbacks who put the ball on the ground more often.

Winston has to improve significantly on third down, where he is a 58 percent passer in his career, with 15 TDs and 14 interceptions. Last season, Winston had a lower fourth-quarter passer rating (77.5) than Colin Kaepernick, Blake Bortles or Brock Osweiler.

It also takes Winston too long to find his groove. Through two seasons, he has tossed only five scoring passes in an opening quarter.

The best news of all is that Dirk Koetter doesn’t coddle his most important player. He doesn’t gloss over Winston’s poor decisions or make excuses for errant throws.

Through it all, Winston’s ceiling is so high that I’m not sure the Bucs would trade him for any player in the league, including Andrew Luck, Derek Carr and Dak Prescott.

When Stanford coach David Shaw was recently asked about Deshaun Watson as an NFL prospect, Shaw compared him to Winston in terms of his natural leadership skills. Shaw said Watson and Winston boast an intangible he labeled as the X-factor.

That’s the biggest point of all when it comes to Winston’s exciting future. You can tinker with a quarterback’s footwork, adjust his arm angles and improve his decision-making, but you can’t inject charisma and confidence.

Year 3 is dead ahead for young Mr. Winston. Anybody betting against him?

I’m more than positive that DJax’s luv for Winston has nothing to do with the 11mil contract he was offered. 🙄

Winston, unlike Freedom, is a supporter but not a member of the LGBTQ COMMUNITY and will most likely NOT suffer a similar fate. Poor Schiano, had ice cream and Kool aid leading his team.

No way Kaep did better than JW in any category bc he sux according to all the EXPERTS! But anyway, if you know anything about JW is that he is a clutch player who, unlike some, does his best work in the 4th when the game is on the line.

  2. JTHV Says:

In less than 24 months Jason Licht and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have done what no other Buc team has done in history … Draft and develop a Franchise QB while also surrounding him with all the tools to succeed before his confidence and body got beat to shiit.

  3. shouldhavedraftedefiert Says:

JW is Farve 2.0. This will be his breakout year.

  4. Buc50 Says:

LOL…Wow…DB55…you laid it all out there bro. Glad Winston only visits Molly in her hospital bed and not the club.

  5. Tampa Tony Says:

@DB55- While I agree Winston was clutch in college he has yet to show those clutch traits consistently in the NFL. Hoping he finds that clutch Gene this year as we could’ve used it against the Rams, Raiders in OT, Cowboys, Saints in 2016 and the last 4 games in 2015 when the offense looked awful

  6. rayjay1122 Says:

Winston will be so much better this season with the weapons at his disposal. Now, if only the OT’s can actually block someone and quit being penalty machines, we may be on the brink of greatness as a team led by an elite QB.

  7. DB55 Says:

I h-8 you TT. Ma f@ngul. Jk not really though.

  8. Doctor Stroud Says:

Yes, fix the 4th quarter, and please, don’t make rookie and backup QBs look like Pro Bowl Hall of Famers. This includes arch nemesis QBs like Case Keenum, who, by the way, was signed by the Vikings, the opponent on Sept 24. The Bucs should also be on guard against QB ghosts of Buccaneers past, including Josh McCown (Jets on November 12) and Mike Glennon (Bears on September 17).

  9. EvolvingBucsFan Says:

Imagine that Winston has a healthy line, ends and backs that can block. Ok, now imagine you have HEALTHY receivers that can not only get open now, they can catch and have speed. hmmmm should open up the running game significantly and help Winston a ton!!!! We look awesome on paper for this season and i can’t stop drooling.

^^^ One could point out a few flaws in this logic here …

    1. The Rams game wasn’t pretty by any means, but Dirk Koetter had a major fumble with game management late in the 4th with Jameis marching his team down inside the 25yd line with plenty of time to go. CALL A TIMEOUT!!!

    2. Jameis didn’t throw the Pass Interference flag against Hey Jude on 4th down in the End Zone that gave the Raiders the ball at the 2 down by 7 with 1:40 left.

    3. The Cowboys and Saints games were bad, no arguement there. But one can make a case his supporting cast, including his defense failed equally.

    4. As far as the last stretch of 2015, is it really Breaking News when a 21 year old Rookie QB goes 0-4 in December?

  11. chipbuc Says:

JTHV Couldn’t agree with you more. Well said. Some people just like to nit pick for nit pick sake.

  12. Tampa Tony Says:

    @JTHV

    Great response

The Rams game was so maddening!!! But players can call timeouts as well and no WR or QB called a timeout and if Jameis hits a open VJAX that would’ve been clutch

Raiders game, can’t blame the PI flag as the Bucs offense had 3 possessions in OT to score against one of the worst pass defense’s in the league and couldn’t do squat. That’s not clutch

Cowboys game Smith coached the d scared he forgot how to call blitzes and the d line got abused. But it was a one score game and the Bucs had chances to take the lead and the offense couldn’t get going.

Saints game turnovers and the d playing scared and soft against the run killed them as well as Jameis not making enough throws to win.

These are a few examples of why he hasn’t earned the franchise label just yet. Franchise QB’s give you a chance to win every week, at this point Jameis doesn’t. But I sure hope it clicks for him this year.

  13. Stpetebucsfan Says:

Jameis will be fine in the clutch! He finally has some clutch receivers. Notice how many “clutch” QB’s have “clutch” WR’s…not necessarily spectacular but “clutch”…like Julian Edelman…doesn’t scare anybody but he always gets the job done.

ME13 was that guy and Brate certainly flashed promise. Hard to believe that this year #3 is also going to have DJAX and OJ and I’m excited about Chris Godwin who is the perfect understudy to DJAX yet can play elsewhere when needed.

#3 will also benefit from an improved line. LT and LG the same…they played well enough…Pamphile in fact shows real promise…Now Marpet will be a quantum leap in improvement at Center where we had a mediocre talent on injured knees…there was no RT for most of last year so virtually anybody we pick up has to be better than a swinging gate.

Now add that McNichol is a good blocking back and receiver…and that OJ is a fearsome blocker….#3 is going to have that extra split second to decide.

The game is slowing down for #3 anyway as he gains experience and now with just a little extra time in the pocket and an incredible cast of targets…#3 will most certainly be clutch. #3 will be the first to recognize the quality of his teammates and internalize all the pressure to play well for them.

  14. Bobby M. Says:

Winston will get an extension with a Bucs….I have no doubt. I also believe they can push for the playoffs regularly and even win a super bowl with him. But IMO…in order to do so, the team will have to have a defense that can bail the offense out routinely until Winston gets going. I believe our window will be with Mike Smith as defensive coordinator. The defense looked sharp the second half of the season and i expect they’ll continue to make strides this season. As they go, so will Winston and the Bucs. Winston is the face the Bucs are selling….he’ll likely always get the credit but when i look at last season folks blame Martin for being hurt and underperforming…Martin didn’t turn the ball over 24 times and bury his team early in games. Its one thing to start slow…its another when you put the defense in bad field position routinely and have your team playing catch up all year long. I dont expect that to change unless the defense continues to improve and they can stay healthy.

  15. Buc1987 Says:

“It also takes Winston too long to find his groove.”

    Check.

“Through it all, Winston’s ceiling is so high that I’m not sure the Bucs would trade him for any player in the league, including Andrew Luck, Derek Carr and Dak Prescott.”

    Sky high.

  16. Buc1987 Says:

“#3 will be the first to recognize the quality of his teammates and internalize all the pressure to play well for them.”

    StPete…check.

  17. SCBucsFan Says:

This team will go as far as Winston carries it. The pieces are there but its scary to think in the end the weak link might be the QB. As a long time Buc fan – since day 1 – I’m staying positive and I’m encouraged by the direction we are headed.

  18. DB55 Says:

Cowboys game Smith coached the d scared he forgot how to call blitzes and the d line got abused. But it was a one score game and the Bucs had chances to take the lead and the offense couldn’t get going.
    ————
Take the lead? We had a 3 point lead going into the 4th. As usual we gave up the booty. Luckily JW we be playing def this year too.

  19. Joseph Mamma Says:

Yeah Winston should hang Freeman’s Michael Jackson pic in his locker. That’s all a daily reminder a kid needs right there.

  20. Tampa Tony Says:

    @db55-

3 point lead going into the 4th and the offense couldn’t add to it or take the lead back…

  21. JTHV Says:

    @ Tampa Tony,

I think we’re arguing semantics now as the case (particular games and moments within) you are making against Jameis not yet being a Franchise QB can easily be tied directly to the overall piss poor talent around him starting with the RB’s, Cherilous at RT and WR’s #2-6, injured Brate etc.

But let’s stop and thank the Football Gods this has seemed to change at least on paper. Obviously we still don’t know what we have at RB but if the position has truly been devalued as mush as reported then I don’t see a reason to be too concerned at this point.

  22. Tampa Tony Says:

My case against Jameis being a franchise qb is pretty sound

Franchise QB’s don’t need to be surrounded by 4-5 Pro Bowl caliber players to perform well
Franchise QB’s give you a chance every week
Franchise QB’s aren’t in the top 5 in turnovers

Does this mean he won’t become one of the few true franchise QB’s? No, it just means he’s not one yet. There really is only a few true franchise QB’s out there as the term gets thrown around way too easily

I like Jameis I just want to see some improvement before I give him that label pre maturely

  23. Wausa Says:

Jameis is clearly on his way to being a great QB and I think over the next few years he has a chance to be the top QB in the league.

Jameis has plenty of areas he needs to improve, but don’t forget Jamies should have been playing his last year of college football last year and he had no running game and one elite receiver and two undrafted free agents to throw to.

I would be surprised if he doesn’t move into that elite category this year with the weapons he will have around him.
I am still concerned about us having one of the worst group of running backs in the NFL though.

  24. Tony from Los Angeles Says:

    Tampa Tony…
    Can’t fully agree with you.

Your point about Pro bowl players is off: most of the elite QB’s taking their teams to and winning Super Bowls are on teams that have 8-10 Pro Bowl players because of their success. It’s a chicken vs the egg argument, but all great teams with franchise QB’s have a lot of Pro Bowlers.

Your point 2: That’s one of the great keys of Winston and what ultimately changed for Bucs fans after the parched desert period of 2009-2014… he does give them a chance every week with very few exceptions (Atlanta game last year).

Your point 3: Sure, no one wants their QB in the top 5 in turnovers. There are many examples of franchise QBs being in the top 5 in turnovers. The obvious one is Favre… 3 times he led the NFL in interceptions. Even Brees led the league back in 2012.

Regardless of arbitrary opinions… Winston is the franchise QB of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s a status more than it is a statistical measurement. With the Buc brass, there is a 0% level of doubt that Winston is their guy for the next 7-10 years.

  25. Erik w/ Clean Athletics 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs fans' Says:

Winston is a sure-fire Hall of Famer.

    Think about it…

The only QB to ever throw for 4,000yds 3 years in a row is Drew Brees.

Winston will probably throw for 4-5000 yds per season for the next 10 yrs in a row (an unprecedented feat).

In that regard, he will be the GOAT at the QB position.

And that doesn’t even factor in the multiple Superbowls he will have by the time he’s done.

  26. NFLNut Says:

I’m sick of hearing “18 interceptions’ … go back and WATCH them all and tell me how many were on him! That’s all that matters as far as Jameis goes.

There is a world’s of difference between throwing a bad pass that gets cleanly picked off and throwing a good pass that gets bobbled up into the air by your own receiver and then picked off … or throwing a hail mary at the end of a half (rather than purposely air-mailing it out of bounds to protect your stats) that gets picked.

    Check the tape!

  27. Clodhopper Says:

This is his breakout year!! I hate to use the term “no excuses” because it sounds like a negative phrase, but I don’t mean it that way. But Jameis doesn’t have any excuses this year. This team will go as far as he takes them.

  28. NFLNut Says:

^ I hope you’re right as if it really is “all on Jameis” I’ll take that every game for the next 15 years and watch him win a bunch of SB’s … but defense is a huge part of the game and I just cringe when some QB puts up great numbers, a great qbr and 30 points on the board but his team loses and the media says the QB didn’t get it done … what nonsense.

  29. Pick6 Says:

“1. The Rams game wasn’t pretty by any means, but Dirk Koetter had a major fumble with game management late in the 4th with Jameis marching his team down inside the 25yd line with plenty of time to go. CALL A TIMEOUT!!!”

i’m a big Winston homer, but Koetter did not screw up on that sequence. Koetter saw something he wanted to take advantage of and not give the Rams time to adjust. That something Koetter saw resulted in VJax getting open in the end zone, only to be overthrown by JW. If Winston hits the target on that play, the bucs win and criticism of Koetter’s game management turns into praise for his 6th sense for exploiting matchups

  30. NFLNut Says:

    **********

    TAMPA TONY … you’re absurd!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peyton Manning threw ONE HUNDRED INTERECEPTIONS in his first 5 years … 100!

Brett Favre was a turnover waiting to happen nearly his entire career.

Those are two of the ten greatest QB’s that have ever played.

By the way, below is a list of HOF or soon-to-be HOF QB’s from the SB era that led the league in interceptions with how many times they did so in ():

    Joe Namath (3)
    Terry Bradshaw (1)
    Fran Tarkenton (1)
    Warren Moon (2)
    Dan Marino (1)
    Jim Kelly (1)
    Brett Favre (3)
    Peyton Manning (1)
    Ben Roethlisberger (1)
    Drew Brees (1)
    Eli Manning (3)
    Philip Rivers (2)

That means that in 20 of the 51 SB era years a HALL OF FAME QB has led the NFL in interceptions!

By the way, the Pre-SB era was no different with HOF’ers like Unitas, Baugh Blanda, Luckman, Laye and others leading the league many years.

Jameis is the most accomplished and therefore “greatest” 23 year old QB in the history of football. Count your blessings and stop the madness!

  31. Gilhealy Says:

Tampa Tony, there’s nothing you say that’s “sound”. It just all sounds the same…dumb.
NFLNUT, it’s amazing the lack of perspective some of these posters project. Between the ages of 21-23 these guys had no idea what the hell they were gonna do with life. Most likely lived at home. Jameis was setting records in the NFL. But, they know what he needs to do…..whatever.

  32. unbelievable Says:

DB I’m dying from that first comment! LOL indeed.

As usual, Ira making some great points.

We were all hoping Freeman was gonna build on that 2010 season, but even then, whenever he spoke, you could see he just didn’t have that x-factor leadership quality. I remember a game against ATL when he ran for a TD and then did the dirty bird in front of some of their defensive guys, and that was about the most raw passion we ever saw from him.

JW ceiling is sky high, just needs to work on his 1st and 4th quarter play, like Ira said. Excited for this season! 2018 will be even better! Go Bucs!

  33. NFLNut Says:

    ^ Right on Gilhealy!

  34. Buc1987 Says:

NFLNut…I’ve given up on Tony. I don’t think he’ll ever come around nor make any sense when it comes to JW.

  35. NFLNut Says:

    ********************

“Through it all, Winston’s ceiling is so high that I’m not sure the Bucs would trade him for any player in the league, including Andrew Luck, Derek Carr and Dak Prescott.”

    Um, ya think?

Derek Carr? Please. Look at the kid’s first two years QBR and compare that too Jameis’ first 2 years QBR … there is no comparison at all and Carr had better weapons! Add to that the fact that Jameis is like 3 years younger than Carr and there’s just no way any GM would even consider trading Jameis for Carr!

Dak Prescott? You’ve got to be kidding me. The kid that Dallas fans called “Check-Down Dak” and were hoping would get injured so Tony Romo could make their offensive more dynamic? There is a reason Dak was a 4th round pick and the Cowboys actually wanted both Paxton Lych and Connor Cook more … he’s just not that good. Even after redshirting his freshman year of college, he still wasn’t named the starter until his 3rd year and that only after world-beater Tyler Russell was injured. Dak was drafted into the perfect situation, period … he’s not that good. And oh yeah … Jameis is YOUNGER tha Dak too!

Andrew Luck: I love Luck but come on. He’s FOUR YEARS OLDER than Jameis and Jameis already has a higher CAREER completion percentage than Luck. Also, people want to complain about Jameis’ turnovers but outside of Luck’s 2nd season, in his other 4 years of NFL football the guy has SEVENTY-FIVE turnovers in 54 games!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you’re drafting from a pool of every single player in the NFL, Jameis is the #1 pick.

    ***************************

  36. Tampa Tony Says:

    @NFL nut

So does that mean Ira, Koetter, Licht and many many many others are wrong that Jameis needs to cut down on his turnovers?

41 turnovers in 32 games is not a good stat line.

Yeah, there are some QB’s who turned it over who are HOFers doesn’t mean that will be Winston (I hope it is) but as your list shows those QB’s might lead the league in INT’s for a season but never consecutively and don’t consistently turn it over like Jameis. Or the one who did like Bradshaw had a dominant d to bail them out something Jameis doesn’t have.

The true franchise QB’s of the modern game Brady, Rodgers, Carr, Ryan, Brees, Wilson, and Rothelisberger are accurate and protect the football for the most part. The franchise label needs to be earned and not just thrown around for pr purposes

  37. NFLNut Says:

Buc1987 … I think Tampa Tony is simply prideful, so prideful that no matter what Jameis does outside of be the main reason the Bucs win a SB, he (i.e. Tampa Tony) will always talk him down and refuse to see what everyone with eyes and a brain can see, simply because he (i.e. Tampa Tony) believed Jameis would be a bust when he was drafted.

Tampa Tony boxed himself in with his pre-2015 NFL draft beliefs about Jameis and is now just too prideful to admit he was wrong imho … that’s actually pretty sad and I kind of feel sorry for Tampa Tony especially as Jameis is the “face” of his favorite team.

I remember back in 1997 one of my best friends said Kobe Bryant would be a massive bust and be out of the league in a couple of years after he shot multiple air-balls in that final playoff loss to the Utah Jazz. I told my friend Kobe was the next Jordan … however even years later my friend still didn’t want to admit he was wrong, but unlike Tampa Tony, at least the Lakers weren’t my friends favorite team.

  38. NFLNut Says:

@@@@@ MUST READ FOR EVERYONE INCLUDING JOE @@@@@

TAMPA TONY …. PREPARE TO HAVE YOUR BIASED EYES OPENED, READ, LEARN & THEN REJOICE THAT JAMEIS WINSTON IS YOUR QB?

“So does that mean Ira, Koetter, Licht and many many many others are wrong that Jameis needs to cut down on his turnovers?”

Yes, that’s what I meant. They should all be saying Jameis needs to turn the ball over more. Don’t be stupid! ALL QB’s “should” turn the ball over less, duh. However, HISTORICAL FACTS prove that the amount of turnovers a QB has has very little to do with his success or how great he is. Again, 20 of the 51 SB era years, a HOF QB has “led the league” in interceptions. Jameis hasn’t done so even one yet and may never do so, but the facts are the facts whether you like them or not.

“41 turnovers in 32 games is not a good stat line.”

It’s a fine stat line considering with what he’s been working with. Andrew Luck who was drafted by a team just one year removed from playing in the conference title game and which was loaded has had 75 turnovers in 54 games over 4 of his 5 years, or 1.39 per game … Jameis was drafted by the laughing stock of the NFL and has averaged 1.28 per game. Jameis also already has a higher CAREER completion percentage than Luck despite Luck having 5 years in the league.

“Yeah, there are some QB’s who turned it over who are HOFers doesn’t mean that will be Winston (I hope it is) but as your list shows those QB’s might lead the league in INT’s for a season but never consecutively and don’t consistently turn it over like Jameis”.

Tampa Tony … Jameis has never led the league in INT’s even once, let alone consecutively so I’m not sure what your point is, however even if he had you’d be wrong as Joe Namath did so … twice. And, yes, many of those QB’s consistently turned it over … Namath, Favre and Eli especially.

“The true franchise QB’s of the modern game Brady, Rodgers, Carr, Ryan, Brees, Wilson, and Rothelisberger are accurate and protect the football for the most part. The franchise label needs to be earned and not just thrown around for pr purposes”

You lost all credibility putting Derek Carr in the above list. The guy had one great year playing with some of the best offensive talent in the NFL and behind the best offensive line in the AFC … Jameis’ first two years obliterate Carr’s first 2 years in the league … you’re goofy!

Your inclusion of Russell Wilson is also goofy imho. The best stat to measure any QB is QBR and Jameis had a higher QBR as a 22 year old than Russell did last year as a 28 year old … if Russell is elite, Jameis is more so. By the way, even though Wilson is little more than a Dak Prescott-eque game-manager he has only thrown 45 picks in 80 games, he has also fumbled 46 times in 80 games for a total of 91 in 80 games … as a game-manager …

BEN ROETHLISBERGER turns the ball over quite a bit! He led the league in interceptions before and even last year had 13 picks and 8 fumbles in just 14 games … that’s 1.5 turnovers per game … Jameis had 24 turnovers in 16 games or the same 1.5 … and he was 22 years old!

DREW BREES: has always turned the ball over a lot … 220 pics and 96 fumbles for a total of 316 in just 223 games!

MATT RYAN: has had one great year, at the age 31, in the 8 years before that he threw 107 pick and fumbled 45 times for 152 turnovers in 126 games.

TOM BRADY … in his first 6 years of playing (after his quasi redshirt year backing up Drew Bledsoe) he threw 78 picks and fumbled a WHOPPING 69 times for a total of 147 in just 95 games which means Brady was MORE INJURY PRONE ON AVERAGE THROUGH HIS FIRS 6 YEARS THAN JAMEIS HAS BEEN AT THE AGE OF 21 & 22!

AARON RODGERS: Seeing as Rogers didn’t even throw his first TD pass until he was TWENTY-FOUR years old (Jameis will probably have 125+ by then) and had four turnovers BEFORE he ever even threw his first NFL TD, it’s sort of a weird comparison … but … if we just take Rodgers first two years of full-time football which was when he was 25 and 26 years of age, in those 32 games he threw 20 pick and fumbled 20 times .. 40 turnovers in 32 games or 1.25 per game … at the age of 25-26 …

All of the above said … Tampa Tony … your favorite team is led by the greatest and most accomplished 23 year old QB in the history of football … rejoice in that FACT!

@@@@@ MUST READ FOR EVERYONE INCLUDING JOE @@@@@

  39. NFLNut Says:

^ I wish there was an edit feature as I would have cleaned up the above typos and the like … but I wanted to submit it quickly, oh well … and with the Tom Brady thing … he was more TURNOVER (not “injury”) PRONE in his first 6 years than Jameis was in his first 2 … think about that!

  40. NFLNut Says:

TAMPA TONY … for the sake of Bucs fans everywhere and to prove that mere common sense exists in this ark world, you should post the following:

“NFLNut, thank you for showing me the error of my ways, I was wrong. Jameis is the greatest and most accomplished 23 year old QB ever and doesn’t take a back seat to any other al-tim great QB at this stage of his career.
