Defends America.
Depending on who you read and who you listen to, one could surmise that America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, is one of the most vile human beings walking the planet.
Per Britt McHenry of ESPN, only the lazy believe such nonsense.
Appearing recently on a podcast, something called “Big Three Rollup,” McHenry explained her interactions with Jameis and detailed that the perception of Jameis held by some of her co-workers at the four-letter and others couldn’t be further from the truth.
“It’s crazy, there is so much noise about him in the outside world but in that [Bucs] organization, within that team, even the oldest veterans on that team have a ton of respect for him,” McHenry said. “He’s always been so polite to me. He always gives me a hard time because the first time I interviewed him, I was wearing Gators colors. From what I have experienced, he has been nothing but professional.”
In fact, in the recent nontroversy about Jameis at a St. Petersburg elementary school, McHenry defended Jameis on the air (which she admitted didn’t go over so well at BSPN) and took to Twitter essentially to tell folks to look at the big picture.
“My mentions were fun that day,” McHenry said. “Not everything has to be a controversy.”
When Joe was at the NFL combine in Indianapolis a few weeks ago, many national NFL writers spoke to Joe about this subject and by far the majority thought it was totally blown out of proportion.
As a national NFL columnist told Joe about Jameis’ slip-up, “That would be like the 17th worst thing heard at a GOP rally. And you are going to burn your powder on that for a story?”

I would guess she gets a lot of grief from folks around BSPN regardless, cuz word on the street is most ppl didn’t like her even before the tow truck incident.
