“I Feel Like This Guy Is About To Explode!”
March 9th, 2017Brandon Marshall is driving the Bucs bus right down Dale Mabry Highway loaded with Bucs cheerleaders and cases of cold beer, honking at everyone on the sidewalk.
Speaking in-studio this morning on “Good Morning, Football,” with co-hosts Kay Adams, Peter Schrager, Nate Burleson and Kyle Brandt, the subject of the Bucs on the cusp of inking a deal with speedy wideout DeSean Jackson came up and Marshall was about ready to jump out of his chair.
The now Giants receiver is all in on the Bucs and thinks the mix of Mike Evans, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, and Jackson is an irresistible passing force.
“I feel like this guy is about to explode!” Marshall said of Jackson, suggesting he was either underutilized in Washington or played below his level. I feel like this guy hasn’t walked in his prime. And he is 30-years old!
“So, I am really excited about this for DJax because I think this is a great situation. He has a dominant No. 1 on the other side, a big receiver, a different body type.
“And Jameis? Jameis is going to get him the ball! I. Love. Jameis. Jameis was with us this past week. His fire and tenacity is second to none. I have never seen anyone like Jameis. This dude is a different human being.
“I am excited about this. Everyone in the NFC needs to look out.”
If this doesn’t make Bucs fans want to start tossing down Cuervo and throwing the shot glasses against the wall, what will?

If he loves Tampa so much, why didn’t he come here on a discount?
March 9th, 2017 at 3:34 pm
New York = gets to keep his side gig which pays him mega-cash and provides lotsa exposure which means even more money.

Love to see players rave about Jameis. The new bucs have a bright future if they can over come the passion killing hold over dt.

Wow that’s encouraging.
Is this guy really a Bucs QB or has all of this been one crazy dream come true?

FINALLY some speed!!!
March 9th, 2017 at 4:45 pm
I imagine Marshall’s agent told Tampa he was interested in signing with them but that Licht simply decided he’d rather have a burner ike DJax on the opposite side of Evans than a similar guy in Marshall … and I’m cool with that decision.
Honestly … a Giants v Bucs NFC Title game doesn’t sound all that illogical right now …

Well, although I was more on the Stills bandwagon, Im glad they at least got him or Djax. I will feel much more comftorable if they draft another reciever just in case he gets banged up but when on the field will no doubt add another dimension to our offense. I would love to see mccaffrey added in the backfield and try and get doug back on a resturctured deal

NFL Network is based in NY? Sure about that1?

“Inside the NFL” — of which Marshall is a co-host — is and the studio is located at CBS studios in Manhattan.
“Good Morning, Football” is based in and broadcast from Manhattan. And, yes, Joe is more than sure of that.
(The NFL Network’s home studio is in Los Angeles.)

Hearing B Marsh talk about Famous like that made me pee a lil. Go Bucs
March 9th, 2017 at 5:45 pm
Who was the other player that was talking after Marshall about playing against Winston this year?
March 9th, 2017 at 6:05 pm
Never mind. It’s the Packers Mike Daniels.
March 9th, 2017 at 6:11 pm
I love the Jameis love. That;s the sort of thing that makes the Bucs desirable.
March 9th, 2017 at 6:39 pm
Love to hear this from an elite-level player about Jameis.
And I’m really encouraged to find out that Djax recorded the fastest pace in the NFL last season while catching a pass…
22.6 mph
The only guy who clocked faster than that last season was Tyreek Hill.
No more overthrows on deep balls now???
Jackson will track it down
