Beasting Beyond 7 Million Visits

Before Joe publishes a comprehensive grade of general manager Jason Licht for the 2016 season, Joe must share some frustration and a thank you.
Joe is a competitive dude and really was yearning to record 7 million actual visits to JoeBucsFan.com in 2016. Joe missed the mark. But it was a lofty goal from 6 million in 2015, despite Joe bringing in the big guns.
Tampa Bay’s only Hall of Fame voter, Ira Kaufman, and Justin Pawlowski joined the JoeBucsFan.com family with their award-winning work and podcasts. And Todd Wright added A+ quality with his fantasy football podcast, which was a rousing success.
But alas, Joe fell shy of that goal of 7 million actual visits last year.
The bad news is Joe is punching walls in fits of frustration, much like many Bucs fans do after Roberto Aguayo attempts a field goal of 40+ yards.
The good news is Joe is super motivated to raise the bar around here in 2017, subsequently compelling readers to visit Joe more often. Trust that Joe is exploring creative and fun means to make that happen. Think big names and/or beautiful women.
Regardless, Joe extends a hearty thank you to all readers, whose patronage allows Joe to spend 24/7 immersed in Bucs football.
What a life you have granted Joe.

Good job with quality news from OBP and analysis of all things Bucs.
Controversy sells and we have fewer controversies of significance since the Schiano/Lovie era.
Controversies like Josh Freeman/Mike Glennon and Lovie Smith’s putrid coaching have been replaced by Roberto Aguayo and the puzzling GMC detractors.
Outrageous suggestion……give Miko a podcast….or at the very least…..encourage her to be a regular JBF poster……or is she already here disguised as Kobe.

2015 was a year where the team had the #1 draft pick and a lot of people with opinions on what they should do with it so topping that year will be tough.

Hi Joe,
I think you had a fantastic 2016. I would venture to guess there may have been a financial incentive to reach that seven million goal. I appreciate all that you all do and if you ever set up a PayPal, Patreon, or whatever I’d chip in a few bucks from time to time to support the site.

What would have put Joe over the top??? The round table of Joes where all podcast contributors meet to talk about the Bucs when in December the Bucs are in Playoff Contention!!!
Also the “Beer with Joes” show, a show that is live where the Joe’s interact with the crazy commentors and answers twitter and email questions!!!

I enjoy the site. I’m glad you are doing more audio on top of being berated every week on the radio. Ira’s podcasts have been a welcome addition this season. I hope you can follow in the footsteps of Florio and become a multi-platform dominator! Good luck in 2017.

I browse the site multiple times a day and read every post. I love the additions of the Commish, Todd Wright and especially Ira. Joe has stated that traffic picks up when the Bucs win. I noticed many new posters during the 5 game win streak. I think that will continue as the team moves forward.

The only time I had a issue was with some of you regarding Freeman and Mike Williams. But that’s water under the bridge.

Seriously. Minus the tata sites, this is the best website on the web. Everything from entertaining articles, to pics of sexy ladies, to the ornery jabs to those who disagree with you. Not to mention short and to the point articles. Who wants to read an article that takes 15 paragraphs to “set the tone then finally get to the point 15 more paragraphs later?” Not me!! Aint nobody got time for that!!
You can thank your loyal readers but its all on you guys. You DID build that, and the Bucs and fans couldnt be in better hands.

Sheriff Grady Judd was sworn in this morning for his 4th term as Sheriff of Polk County. I know it has nothing to do with sports. But it’s something positive that i wanted to share.

Congrats Joe. This is my go to site for Bucs coverage and has been for several years now.
As for your goals I think you’re positioned just like the Bucs. Great foundation laid and now you’re just adding to your grand achievement. Nothing in life like watching a couple a guys have a dream and bring it too fruition. CONGRATS
And again as a former journalist I appreciate that your journalism backgrounds keep this site on the up and up. Not a lot of just throwing out crap and hoping it sticks. You guys appear to be well sourced and you’re careful with your writing.

this site is honestly the only reason i go on the internet. I occassionally check out PFT and bucsdotcom. But this site is where i spend 90% of my time when im browsing the internet. Thanks for such a great site joe.

I have been a bucs fan from day 1. Bayou Bullet, Batman, Selmon brothers , jimmy Giles , played blackjack with Kevin House and remember as a kid the fun of James Wilder and the horror of Barry Sanders. I was born in 73 so I am by far the local bucs authority here in central Florida ..captain buc. I have checked this site every day for over a year . You do one hell of a job on this site and thank you ! Playoffs next year and super bowl in 3

Thanks for all you do for us fans. If I may offer my two cents on how to improve the site and make me visit more often, it’s this. Focus on how to speed it up. You probably don’t want to hear it but I am convinced you have the slowest loading web pages on the internet. That’s when a visit this site on my Windows PC or my Android phone. It can be maddening. Other websites with just as many ads take less time to load. Thank you for listening and keep up the great work! You probably don’t want to hear that Joe monitors page load times daily and scores pretty well based on the accepted industry metrics and reputable sites that measure page speed, especially when compared to other sports blogs/sites. –Joe
